Before returning your rental car, you always want to make sure you’ve refilled the gas. So, before returning my rental car today I decided to stop at this gas station. This isn’t the most customer-​friendly gas station. There’s one payment station between the pumps, so you may have to wait in line to use your card. Then, this place charges a surcharge on your card. Well, I didn’t feel comfortable paying a surcharge for gas, at the pump, so I went inside. The cashier informed me that they only accept debit cards which means you’d have to use your PIN number. Oh no, no, no! How in the world are you going to make your customers use their debit card, requiring their PIN, and then charge them a surcharge?! This was my first time at this gas station, which is also called ARCO, and it will be my last time at this particular gas station. Without a doubt, I drove to another nearby gas station.
