Bittersweet because we’ve ordered delivery 3 times and each time it took over an hour for our pizza to reach us and we live exactly 0.7 miles away. The pizza is the best I’ve had since moving to alas. The employees are nice but if you’re super hungry order from someplace else because it’s going to be a while for delivery.

I am not a big fun of pizza but this place just impressed me. They had such an amazing pizza, it was really yummy and very fresh. I also tried the chicken wraps that is my favorite food and again it was awesome. Prices were really good I would say pretty cheap for that kind of high quality.

Horribly long delivery wait times both times I have ordered. Also the wings have very lite sauce, leaves you wanting more and they put the celery and carrots under the wings so they are hot and rubbery.

Best pizza in town! And their ajarski is amazing, the egg filled bread. Great customer service and very cozy place. We loved their food and will return when we’re in the area again.

Since my lunch starts a 10am, I really didn’t have much choice. It was either this or Flame Broiler next door. Since I already given my business to Flame Broiler last week, I decided to give this place a chance. So glad I did. I came in thinking of getting the lunch pizza special. Their slices are huge. It’s comparable to 3 slices and only costs $ 5. But I decided to try get their pastrami as I’m a sucker for good pastrami. It came with steak fries and cost $ 9.25 with tax. I like that they toasted the bread and it was a foot long baguette. At first glance, it looked like they didn’t give that much meat and was just covered with lettuce. After taking my first bit, I realized that there was ample meat. Not as much as The Hat, but not skimping either. The pastrami wasn’t dry and a little fatty. The lettuce, mayo, mustard and pickles gave it a tang to break up the fattiness of the meat. Definitely will get this again. The fries was pretty good. They sprinkled it with Lawry’s seasoning salt. Any place that uses Lawry’s instead of just salt, gives it a big advantage. Overall, I really enjoyed the sandwich. But next time, I will probably place my order online so that I don’t have to wait 10 minutes for it.

This place has some great pizza. After looking around i saw this huge ass box for the papa pizza and thought«yup, that will be my coffin». eat one pizza solo and get buried in it. The place aint nothing fancy and since there aint no parking we had to park in a lot near it. Pizza aint cheap either but it was beautiful and tasty. I think they deliver but it seemed like some employee on a bike, so i dont expect long distance delivery unless the bro is training for a triathlon. I’m going back baby, i wanna eat that mafia pizza pie.

My company ordered a couple of the 36″ pizzas for an event. We were really excited because this was probably the biggest pizzas we’ve ever seen and we were able to top the pizzas with so many different topping options. The pizzas were ginormous and served 10 – 15 ppl each. However, to be honest they weren’t very good pizzas. I don’t know if we waited too long to eat or what but the slices were super dry and the cheese was super greasy & tasted kind of rubbery. I wasn’t very satisfied with the pizza overall. I will give this place another chance next time I host an event and eat the pizza right away. Hopefully it will taste better next time!

This is the best pizza around downtown and the size of the pizza is worth the price. The service is pretty good as well. Im definitely coming back here.

Have been enjoying this place since it first opened in downtown. Staff is great and service is good. Just a few days ago after about a year or two not having their pizza I decided to stop by and pick up a big slice and a drink. Pizza tasted great. California cheese really makes a great tasting pizza, the crust was crispy outside and soft inside. The big slice is about 3 regular size pizza slices. Pepperoni was tasty and enough to have it at every bite. Will return sooner then I have been. Thanks for being in the neighborhood.

Biggest Pizza I’ve had in my life. If you’re looking to get full inexpensively this is the place. Not b the greatest pizza I’ve had but not bad at all. It’ll satisfy a pizza craving. Definitely a huge slice of pizza. The slice is almost the size of a small personal pizza.

I came here to pick up a bunch of pizzas for my graduate class upon a classmate’s suggestion. She kept hounding me to give it a try — said it’s the bomb and that she has coupons. The cost was $ 74 bucks for 5 medium pizzas, two of them being cheese pizzas(not my choice of pizza, seriously, what’s the point). Did the coupon even knock off a couple of bucks? That’s like 13 bucks for a medium pizza. We got pepperoni(which got hard and cold real fast) and the cheese pizzas were kinda bland, A medium pizza can’t even feed 3 people, which is not filling despite people saying that the pizza’s are huge. HELLO! The SLICESAREJUSTTHIN!!! Not worth the try or the price!

I got the pesto pizza here which was so good! Slices are HUGE — it’s basically like paying for two slices so it’s worth the price! They close at 10pm on Monday nights, but when we came at 9:45 pm, they still served us with a smile. They were out of the pizzas that we wanted, but they still made all 3 of us fresh ones. Great service but if you come late like we did, they will probably ask you to take your food to go instead of letting you eat in. Heads up — it’s an extra 50 cents for ranch!

I came here on a whim as I was craving pizza and my son kept hounding me to give it a try — said it’s the bomb. Granted, he’s only 20 so it’s not like he’s got decades of pizza consumption behind him to make a really valid comparison but I digress. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and a bottled water for $ 8. The slice was HUGE! Biggest slice of pizza I ever did see — and it was decent. I was expecting more flavor, but was a tad disappointed. The sauce was bland as was the crust. The pepperoni was really the only tasty thing on the slice, which is unfortunate because the pizza has a great deal of potential. The service is excellent. They keep this place clean and well stocked — which I definitely like. They are warm and welcoming, even to the transients — RESPECT! I would probably come back if I found myself in a bind and wanted something decent and affordable. If you are fan of delicious pizza, I can’t really recommend this place.

Big Mama’s & Papa’s Pizzeria in Downtown LA offers HUGE slices of pizza. They say that each slice is the equivalent to 3 normal slices, and it’s easy to see why. The slices are from the«Big Mama» 28 inch pizza. If you’re feeling really hungry, order a «Big Papa» 36 inch pizza! The box is so big, they have to open the double doors to get it out of the store! Recently, BM&PP started offering whole wheat, gluten free, and«mezze» options. Mezze is a pizza on a 12 inch tortilla style crust. They also offer«The Mafia Cake» a 14 inch Chicago style deep dish pizza. If you’re feeling really adventurous, BM&PP offers an «egg gondola» pizza with either 2 or 4 eggs(depending upon the size ordered) cooked sunny-side up style on top of your other toppings. I have yet to try any of their other types of pizzas beyond the«Big Mama» slice. The pepperoni pizza tends to be pretty oily, so I go through a ton of napkins to soak up the grease. The sauce is tangy and delicious and the crust is a bit crunchy. The pizza can be inconsistent, depending upon when you arrive. If the pizza is fresh, it is awesome. If it has been sitting out for awhile, they’ll reheat it for you, but then the crust gets too hard and not worth eating. The elderly gentleman behind the counter have been here for years. It seems to be a family-run operation, with Mike as the owner. I think he’s a son or nephew of the older men. They offer delivery specials on their site. In store, you can get a frequent customer card signed, which gives you a free Big Mama slice after your 6th order. I recommend coming at normal lunch hours during the week for the best pizza. Downtown LA gets really slow at night and the weekends, so your pizza could have been sitting around for awhile and not as good.

Late night boozing never leads to great decision making… and in this case, our DRUNCHIES led us to order pizza from Big Mama’s & Papa’s Pizzeria. We ordered a Big Mama to share between 4 people. Gawd what an awful mistake. Four people DONOT need that much pizza. Regardless, the delivery took wayyy too long. After a good half hour plus of waiting, the boys decided to walk across the street(yes, we live one block from the place) and pick up the pizza instead of waiting for the delivery. When they got over there, the pizza was not ready yet. In fact, the boys came back to report that it didn’t seem like they even started making our Big Mama. Eventually the pizza finally comes in a MASSIVEBOX almost larger than my dining table! It’s hard to imagine that it comes in a bigger size – the Big Papa! The pizza was okay. Not the best crust and quality ingredients, but no complaints on quantity. It more than satisfied 4 drunk adults. I will say that the pizza tasted A LOT better the next day once we reheated it on the stove! I don’t know what that says about their pizza, but the day after was GREAT.
