They should definitely have four to five stars if beverly elite next door has 4. The bagels are fresh, the prices are reasonable, service is fast and polite. Tuna fish bagel was great.

We had a Groupon for this place, but weren’t able to use it. The operating hours for this place are a total mystery. They’re very observant with Jewish holidays so I suppose you need to keep that in mind. We tried several times to get something to eat here but it just didn’t happen. Can’t recommend buying a Groupon for this place — chances of actually being able to use it are slim.

So… I gave up. Went back for a THIRD time and this time the place was closed down and completely covered up(not kidding) I believe as part of a Jewish holiday. I just am not«in the know» enough to be able to figure out the complicated times that this place wants to/is able to do business. And I honestly do not think they want new customers. So, they’re not getting one here. I got a refund from Groupon.

I was here about a week ago and the food was amazing and the service was also nice. I had a chocolate pancake, butter bagel and a coffee. The pancake and coffee were amazing, but the bagel was not so good.

We pre-ordered 5 breakfast platters for a very special event. The platters we ordered included egg salad, tuna salad, salmon, and cream cheese, Along with 12 delicious bagels, included with each platter. We also ordered 2 delicious sushi platters, which were so fresh and outstanding. For dessert, we ordered 4 dozen doughnuts… Amazing!!! Everyone loved it so much, they had to have some to go! The service was amazing! Ask for Raul, he will take extra special care of you and your event. This is an exceptional choice for your guests if they are strictly Kosher. The food and service are exceptional.

I’ve been to Beverly Elite Café many times. It’s almost non-descript at first glance — located in the back corner of a little strip mall near Beverly and Fairfax. The service — eh, is just ok. Luckily they don’t serve at tables, you stand in line and get your own food. The saving grace of this place is really that the food is very, very good. My fiancé and I come here on a weekly basis for their breakfast burrito — it’s not too heavy and the perfect thing on a Saturday or Sunday morning. No bacon obviously(everything is Kosher), but the burrito comes with delicious cut potatoes cooked to perfection. The bagels are also excellent, I think perhaps my most favorite bagels of any establishment in the area. You can’t go wrong with the lox and bagels with cream cheese. Their paninis are also very good. Highly recommended.

This kosher cuisine is to die for, but not really. The service was horrible and leaves a lot of room for improvement. Why should I come back?

Brought up in a strickly kosher home(but not longer observant) I always thought kosher food was tasteless and bland. However learned about this place when strickly kosher cousin came to town and we took her out to dinner. Wife and I shared a chicken schitzel sandwich this time and share a polish«sausage». Onion rings were the best we have ever had. not sure what batter they use but very light and non-greasy. Main food items super tasty. Our friends with us had the falafel and a «plain olé hanburger» which both raved about. What is really exceptional is the Latino waitresses who have served us before… they are sooooo customer oriented, sweet and pleasant with EXCELLENT service… Live in Riverside but when in LA and in the area(except for Saturday of course) will be eating here again… the menu is humongous and varied. and the deli looks super appetizing. Great place!

My husband and I pre-ordered three plates of food for our event and when my husband came to collect the order is received only two plates The owner expressed no regret about what was happening and even offered compensation Luckily we ordered other things as Mafia Although it is quite destructive to us from the event

Being Israeli and living next dor, I had to try this place. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s Kosher and it’s not expensive. The bagels are excellent and a bagel sandwich won’t cost an arm and a leg. Being that it is an Orthodox area there are many orthodox there but the owners are very friendly.

I guess I’m the first to review this place. I was stuck at a light on the intersection of La Brea and Beverly. I see a sign plastered on a wall next to an alley that reads Hungarian bakery. Considering I’m traveling to Hungary in two months I was tempted to try a couple things. I never found that Hungarian bakery. It must have been an old sign. I did find a coffee shop that was filled with Jewish people. I ordered a small coffee. The dude behind the counter was very cool. Didn’t say much. It’s self serve coffee here. The creamer is located inside of a fridge that you need to open. Before I left the guy noticed I had a $ 100 bill inside of my billfold. He asks,” You want change for that $ 100?” Sure. They have sit down benches inside with chairs. Outdoor seating with shade. Nice joint. Coffee was great!

It took my mom’s visit to LA and her unwillingness to avoid nondescript establishments in weird strip malls that brought me here. Thanks mom; you’re truly hipper and more adventurous than your son. And thanks to Café Elite for justifying my mom’s curiosity with your impressive breadth of foodstuffs. My mom got the baked ziti, which did the job quite well for a small café. Deli sandwiches, breakfast specials, falafel, and pasta dishes looked good… but with my mom taking me out for lunch, my arrested development surfaced full-force and I ordered a deep-fried pizza pocket. Remember those? You were celebrating your 13th birthday at the local bowling alley and stole yourself away from bumpers to bite into a crispy satchel of grease, sauce, and cheese. Relive it without the acne and funny voice! As for the bakery section of this all-in-one eatery, I haven’t been enough times to properly comment on how well-rounded the baker’s skills are, but I can say he or she knows how to make greasy-but-great donuts with awesome custard filling. Oh, and their menu proudly proclaims they cater for bris, so there’s that, too.
