Came here for my anniversary Sunday January 31st at 8 pm. The place was so crowded but we were seated right away. But around 9:30-:45 there was a BLACKOUT! Before we could order dessert the lights turned off! After ten minutes in the dark the staff went around saying the food was on the house and gave us priority reservation. I’m not complaining! Chicken liver pâté: tasted like cream spam but weirdly tasted good. But I wouldn’t spend money on it. Veal tartare:($ 15) tastes better than it sounds! It’s a slice of bread topped with veal tartare, a light appetite before the heavy stuff. Roasted bone marrow:($ 16) bone marrow on top or spinach gnocchi kind of lacked flavor. Cavertelli :($ 29) the perfect comfort food! Give me a bowl of this creamy, salty goodness in front of a fireplace please! Skirt steak:($ 45) was so good! Flavorful, tender, and juicy! On top of a bed of fingerling potatoes and carrots.

The one thing that would improve this place greatly, and so many other restaurants, is better acoustics. It’s so damn loud. I couldn’t hear the other side of the table. Whatever else you have, order the lamb neck. I think about it almost every day. And I don’t even like lamb?

This place is a disaster. The service was great. The food was barely okay. Nothing special, nothing memorable. The atmosphere more like a middle management Christmas party. Noisy, loud, awful music, two really dirty toilets. It’s sad to see a restaurant get reviews because it’s a hipster hangout. It really is boring. Not for the hard of hearing.

This place has been on my bucket list since forever. I have a homegirl who works here as a pastry chef and haven’t had the chance to visit until recently.(Can’t wait to tell her about my experience!) I came here on a Friday evening without reservations and the wait wasn’t too horrendous. The hostess mentioned it being around 45 mins to 1 hour wait, but we got seated around 30 minutes! Sat at the bar and I absolutely loved the exposed brick and metals along the restaurant’s ceiling and walls. For our party of two, we just ordered the aspen skirt steak, bone marrow, and chicken gizzards. For dessert, we got the crème fraîche panna cotta. Lawd, everything was delicious. I love that it was also a place where you share the dishes and not just stick to a single entrée. The scenery is hella cute and people watching definitely kept me busy in between bites lol. I would absolutely recommend this place for those who enjoy spending a pretty penny on pretty good food! Hope to visit again soon!

I thought I accidentally stumbled into Asian professional networking mixer. By the time we left, the demographic was at least ¾ Asian and I thought maybe the kitchen would change it up and serve up some bao buns and XLB. Waiting and waiting for someone to order sake bombs and spicy tuna California tuna rolls, I came to the realization that we Asians must really love this hip, little pan-regional Italian spot and perhaps actually enjoy Italian fare at Bestia. Operating a tight and precise kitchen operation, Bestia has all the fine trappings of a fine Italian eatery, bursting at the seams with a sea of flavors and tantalizing smells all in a converted warehouse and industrial setting. The food? Here’s a suggestion for you. Get your napkin, blind fold yourself. Reach into your pocket because you’ve come prepared with a dart. Aim that dart anywhere on the menu and missiles away. You can’t really go wrong here. From the salumi platter to the pastas to the desserts, we enjoyed it as the tongue marks on plates and saliva on our clothes testify. If you want to appreciate fine art of cooking pasta perfectly, yes Mr. Sherlock, order the pasta. Their menu items are very rich– some pasta perfectionists would even say drowned in overpowering flavors– but hey, that umami flavor richness is a crowd pleasure. A bottle of 2008 Château Léoville Poyferré was a welcoming third companion in our magnificent feast for the senses. The cocktails seemed fine but if you’re having dinner, it’s really difficult to fully appreciate good Italian food without its fermented grape cousin. Would you sweep the floors without a broom? Dessert– check out the donuts. They’re delicious– freshly fried with that perfect crispy texture and a nice pillow-like inside. The ice cream is, well, to be nice, isn’t their strength. If there is one thing to poo poo on(and spread that filthy poo poo everywhere) is the service. That evening, it ranged from the spectrum of non-existent to that scene in Sphere of the black abyss. We had an early reservation(hi, I’m a senior citizen in training) so the servers weren’t busy as they usually are. But give credit to the bussers, working their butts off. Not sure if our server was multitasking his server duties while competing in an online Tetris tournament. $ 30 corkage added to our bill but not sure what we really paid for as the server was nowhere to be found. If you love Asians(seeing them, talking to them, hearing them, smelling them?), check out Bestia! Oh, and for great Italian food too ;)

First off I want to say how much I love the vibe here and how great the service was(our waiter was super adorable and very knowledgeable!). There’s a reason why it’s so hard to get a reservation here. Even with it being in a shady neighborhood. It feels so special and you almost feel cool knowing that there is this place tucked away in the DTLA Arts District. It’s across from the new H.D. Buttercup so you can pick up some lovely furniture too. There’s parking on Santa Fe but I recommend you fork over the $ 7.50 for valet so you don’t have to walk. On to the food: Our waiter was super helpful in picking a delicious wine for our meal. Highly recommend the Orangetraube Very crisp and light! Perfect! Genevieve’s Little Gems Salad — tasty but nothing to rave about, still very fresh and nicely prepared. Cauliflower — Sweet, salty in a good way from the nuts and just delicious! Mussels and Clams — My favorite! The Mussels were huge and meaty and the clams were tiny but it didn’t bother me because a shoe would’ve been delicious in that broth. It was spicy and rich almost like a curry. SOGOOD. Burrata Pizza — If you like that charred wood oven pizza, you will love this. It had the perfect balance of flavor with the olives being salty and the mild fresh taste of the burrata. Very good. Pappardelle de Ortica — I thought this pasta was ok. I loved the sauce that the yolk creates but who doesn’t. I just thought that the pasta was a little dense and even though I love mushrooms, I thought they were a bit soggy and the nettles didn’t really lend anything to the flavor. Would not order this again. Zabaglione Al Moscato — This is the same as the French dessert Sabayon. Which is just sugar and egg yolks whipped until they’re edible. Ha! It was good. Well done and one of the fluffiest sabayons I have ever had. This one is whipped with wine so it’s a little boozy but if you’re into that, you will love. It comes with a blood orange sorbet, brown sugar pine nut meringue and candied orange peel. The meringue was the best part but I probably would not order this again. A little too tart for my taste. Overall a great experience and I will definitely be back here just to have a bowl of the Mussels and Clams all to myself!

My top 3 favourite place in LA. Friendly service, knowledgeable staff, beautiful people, amazing food, extensive drink list and ever dish is well thought out. Bravo to the chef. My only complain is the wait :/.

Came here for the third time, and I decided it’s one of if not my favorite Italian restaurant. The urban hipster vibe, the 90’s throwback hiphop music, and the quality and savory dishes. How can you not love this place? My favorites: — Genevieve’s little gem or Bestia’s Chopped Salad — Roasted Bone Marrow(my MUST have) — Chitarra al Nero di Seppia Tip: — valet parking available — reservations is important, plan ahead. if not call around 4:30 and see what’s available that day(on a weekday, good luck on a weekend). You can also try to sit at the bar, but arriving early is key.

Someone told me that Bestia was so two years ago. That person was wrong, so wrong. Bestia is so THREE years ago. Nice try, hipster. I don’t care if it’s so five hundred years ago, this place is legit. That’s short for legitimate, and when I say that I mean that it is amazing even though that’s not at all what legitimate actually means. But I am a writer so I can bend the word and make it whatever I want it to be. That’s right, legit. I own you! I can make you mean anything I want! Now you mean taco-flavored. Every time I say something is legit in 2016, I will mean that it is taco-flavored. It will catch on and people will appreciate that there’s an easier way to describe something’s taconicity without having to use other made up words like that one I just tried. That one can go right in the graveyard. You are not worthy of my lexicon. Okay. Bestia time. What do you want to know? Yes, all of the reservations seem to be at 10pm or later. Yes, they stay open pretty late so that’s okay. Yes, the food is phenomenal. No, you cannot hire a Darth Vader sing-a-gram to come embarrass your dining partner on his or her birthday. Not because the restaurant won’t let you but because it is so loud from all of the hungry people who are just talk talk talking to each other in between their meals that you wouldn’t even hear him sing and it would ruin the whole thing, the whole reason you paid this adult to dress in a costume and degrade himself in front of you. These are real people, they exist in our city. I have seen one with my own eyes. I wish I hadn’t. I’m coming back to Bestia in a few weeks. I can’t wait. I told my mom and everything.

This review has been a long time coming. Bestia is easily one of my favorite restaurants I’ve ever been to. I’m heartbroken that I haven’t been back yet. First off: reservations. Anything from a week or two in advance to at least two months ahead on Open Table, there are no reservations available until closer to 10:30PM. So make them FAR in advance if you want to go at a decent time. I feel like its harder to make a reservation here than it was at CityZen back home! I absolutely love the warehouse setting of the restaurant. If this was a nightclub back in the late 90’s, early 00’s, it would feel like it from the outside. Service was impeccable too. Although we were a large party our waitress was on point every time and was more than happy to assist us with recommendations. I’ll start with my favorites through the tasting. Definitely get the sea urchin and squid ink pasta. Spread the uni through and mix it up. The creaminess and flavor of the uni makes it. Next, the bone marrow with spinach gnocchetti. We shared the large portion and loved scraping the marrow off the bones to pair with the gnocchetti. I loved also how it was just paired with a piece of bread like most places would serve bone marrow. My favorite bone marrow dish I’ve had in a long time. The foie gras terrine that was prepared with Stumptown coffee and lemon paste. This was an interesting dish. The lemon paste paired very nicely with the more bitter flavor profile of the Stumptown coffee foie gras. You also get the savoriness from the foie. Amazing. Lastly, the mussels and clams with their housemade nduja sauce. Our party absolutely killed this dish! The mussels and clams were good, but it was all about the sauce! We kept having to order more bread because it was so good. I could drink the sauce straight and been happy with it. I also loved their cocktails. We got to stand at the bar for a bit before being seated and I loved how open it was as well as the layout. Bestia is why I love the LA dining scene so much more than NY and DC. Sure its not cheap, but its also reasonable for the experience and the food you get. I’m mind blown at how good it was and I really can’t wait to make a return.

Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. I’ve wanted to try this place for a long time and finally got the opportunity on a birthday. We ordered so many dishes I’m not sure I got them all listed here, but I’ll at least review my favorites. Veal Tartare Crostino This is a small dish with a very large crostino that isn’t cut. You’ll have to split the dish at the table unless you want the whole thing yourself I I did. The veal is very good as a tartare and the flavors are on point. There’s a slight kick to it and it could do with a little more, but I still thought it was good. Crostino was crunchy and buttery. Persimmon & Burrata Salad I love anything burrata but add persimmon to it, and you’ve got my heart. There should be more burrata to the salad but other than that, the flavors are on point. The salad is not a bunch of regular leafy greens, but with pickled fennel, scarlett frill, fennel pollen, parsnips for lots of texture. Grilled Lamb Meatballs — yogurt, lime zest, carrot tops, pickled shallots, pickled chili, lentils, mint This is a great dish to share. Each meatball is very big and I actually only ate half initially, and then went in for the other half when people started to dwindle. The meat flavors are so hearty and delicious. I love lamb so I never taste the«gameyness» but for me, this is a must try if you love lamb. Roasted Marrow Bone This was on a bed of spinach gnocchetti, and it was absolutely delicious. We got the large portion to share and I love scrapping the marrow off the bone and pairing it with the gnocchetti. Pici al Sugo di Agnello– lamb ragu, saffron, capra sarda, fig leaf, breadcrumbs This is amazing. Get it if you love lamb like I do. Get it. Agnolotti alla Vaccinara — cacao pasta parcel, braised oxtail, burro fuso, grana padano, pine nuts, currants. Someone say OXTAIL?! BRAISEDOXTAIL?! Yes please, this is my favorite dish of the night. It’s a heavy dish, and looks crazy dark but the taste is heavenly. I love the strong flavors of the oxtail so this is a must get for me. Grilled Whole Branzino– pea tendrils, fried herbs, grilled lemon. I thought this would be a larger dish and thankfully it wasn’t. The size oF the fish is perfect, just small enough for delicious bites, and large enough to share. The fish is light and tender, not too salty nor lemony but just light and fluffy. Delicious. «Coffee and Donuts» — spiced chestnut zeppole, whipped cream, coffee ice cream. The«donuts» were more like light small round beignets without the sugar powder but it was fabulous. The coffee is not coffee literally, but ice cream and the flavors are so strong that you can’t help but think, «oh sh**, this is really coffee… and donuts.»

Oh Bestia you stole my heart! I’m more of a call last minute for a reservation instead of wait for months. So I called on Sunday at 3PM and was lucky to score a table for 2 at 7PM. The neighborhood is still up and coming so I recommend valeting your car and not taking your chances with street parking. We showed up and were seated right away. I loved the hip ambiance and thought the service was incredible. We started with cocktails and once I understood the level of dishes I was dealing with I ordered a glass of Grenache to do them justice. We started with a Burrata pizza and it blew my mind. It’s seriously the best pizza I’ve ever had. Roasted marrow bone followed served with equally delicious spinach gnocchetti. Spaghetti Rustichella was very good but not the best I’ve had. Grilled whole Branzino was perfect. We finished the meal with mascarpone rice pudding served with persimmon and it was the ideal way to end the meal. Coming back for mussel and clams and more pizza and bone marrow.

All-rite! Finally made it to this establishment after years of wanting to try it. I know. I know I’m a tad late. It has this industrial look which I seriously dig. I feel restaurants can only pull off this look in big cities but let’s face it, the seats and tables were so uncomfortable. I must have kicked my cousin sitting across from me I don’t know how many times. The booth at in and out is more comfortable to sit in. I’m telling it like it is. Food: Veal tartare crostino-this dish grew on me as I took each bite. The tonnata sauce was interesting and I would def give it a try that is if you like veal. Chicken liver crostino-I didn’t like the texture of it. I always compare dishes like this to the chicken liver toast at Animal and everything always falls short compared to it. The bone marrow-I love me some bone marrow and it did not disappoint. Def a dish to get here. Spaghetti Rustichella-it was good, def more of a fishy dish for those of you who don’t like sea food much. I love sea food! However, I enjoyed the Cavatelli pasta dish just as much. More creamy, a tad more heavy. The Salumi was a great beginner course and I would recommend it. We did the smaller one and we all loved it. Donuts and coffee was a nice little dessert. Served with a side of coffee and cream. Simple and did the trick as the name would suggest. Overall, nice establishment. I expected a tad more but it was a great dining experience.

The atmosphere of this place is really cool. Hipster meets chic. I like how the restaurant is really big & there’s different types of seating areas available, so you can get a different feel of the restaurant, depending on where you sit.(ie. bar, in front of the kitchen, stools vs tables, etc) Onto the food. Calamari salad: My favorite of the whole dinner. Loved the flavoring of the calamari. So perfect. Chicken Liver crostini: I really like the flavor of chicken liver, it’s really rich. But I wish it stood out a little more in this. Overall still good Bone marrow: They recommend you to mix the bone marrow with the pasta. Make sure to add the juice from the bone marrow as well. It makes all the difference & really takes the flavor to another level Cavatelli alla Norcina: The sauce on this pasta was really good. However, the sausage is totally overwhelming & just doesn’t complement the dish at all. I could do without the sausage overtaking the other flavors Pear tarte: A nice & light dessert to end the meal. Served with black pepper ice cream. Strange if you eat the ice cream solo, but pair it with the pear & it’s a nice balance

My gawddd! Great restaurant, great food, great service, and great drinks! I’ll start off by saying that it took us about two months to get reservations on a Saturday evening at 5pm. It gets pretty busy here so plan ahead and make reservations if you want to check this place out. If you don’t mind eating at 10pm then you can make reservations close to the date. The area is very sketchy so don’t be fooled by that because the inside of the restaurant is pretty nice. Food and drinks are great, we got the following: Liver crostino, calamari, bone marrow(double portion), lobster spaghetti, donuts for dessert. It was a lot of food with good enough portions. Everything was outstanding! As for drinks we ordered the cops and robbers and path to Honduras. Both amazing drinks! Definitely a restaurant you should check out!

I 200% get why Bestia is on all the foodie lists now. After going through so many lists and hearing about all the fabulous places in LA, it’s hard to understand what’s worth the effort and what could be saved for another day. Being an SF foodie, the LA food scene intimidates me since it seems to cover a GIGANTIC area. That being said, when we were able to snag an 8:45PM reservation at Bestia the day after Christmas, we took the opportunity. Bestia is definitely a restaurant where one wants to be «seen at the scene» where the space is loud, trendy, and screams«cool kids.» We sat towards the back of the restaurant, tucked away into a little nook where people watching was the absolute best. After perusing the menu, here’s what we went with: Appetizers: Veal Tartare Crostino — While it’s not the most glamorous of dishes, I was surprised how much I really enjoyed the texture of tartare! The bread it was served on was crunchy and toasted, and the shallots and lemon in the tartare made this taste like a really light dish. Farro Salad — We threw in the farro salad at the last minute and I’m so happy we did since it was my favorite dish of the night. The salad came with an avocado purée and pomegranate seeds and I would have licked the plate if it were socially acceptable. Everything about this salad was well-balanced and something that inspired me to try and make on my own for a larger meal portion at home. Salumi plate for two — This came with three types of salumis and two large pieces of toast, one of which was covered in a soft cheese with little mounds of date paste on top. The salumis were delicious and interesting, but I think the cheese toast was a little on the rich side… I still ate it though. Mains: Margherita — By the time the pizza showed up, we were toeing the line of being full. The pizza is a thin crust variety, so at least there’s that. Topped with delicious San Marzano tomatoes and mozzarella, this was definitely a great pizza dish. While it’s not the best pizza I’ve ever had, I definitely appreciated the effort that went into it and thought it was a good choice to order. Cavatelli alla Norcina — Ah finally, the dish that everyone has referenced as a must-get item here. It was a no-brainer that we were getting this even before we read the Unilocal reviews. Loaded with garlic, pork sausage, and of course, black truffles, this is easily one of the richest dishes I’ve ever had, but almost one of the most flavorful. The cavatelli shape always amuses me, but it definitely helps highlight the fantastic flavors of the sauce. Nothing was wasted here where we polished off everything. We waved the white flag after this and passed on dessert, which is a shame since I love dessert. Service wise, our server was pleasant and helped us navigate the menu in terms of how many dishes were recommended for the two of us to share. But, what is a trip to a super trendy LA restaurant without a celebrity sighting? As it turns out, Andy Garcia was dining at the table behind us, so if it’s good enough for Mr. Garcia, it’s good enough for me. I will definitely be back to Bestia, hopefully with more friends so that we can tackle more of this delicious looking menu!

Great experience here. Food was amazing and atmosphere was really hip, like modern industrial décor. Be warned, it’s super loud inside with all the conversations going on. We had a reservation at 9:15 pm(all earlier times were booked) but we didn’t actually end up being seated until almost 10:00 pm. The parties in front of us apparently took a long time paying. We were pretty disgruntled but I guess the staff knew this because they offered us some complimentary sparkling wine. That was nice. FOOD: Everything we ordered tasted AMAZING! Even the stuff I thought was going to be no big deal. I feel like the chefs are masters at combining and balancing a variety of flavors. Everything was cooked perfectly and the pasta all had great texture. I can’t even pick a favorite from what we ordered, they were all good in their own way: D Grilled calamari — Actually grilled pieces of octopus on some top of a salad that included endives, pears, and watercress. It sounds likes no big deal, right? But the combination of these flavors in my mouth was surprisngly perfect. Mussels and clams — A bowl of huge mussels and tiny clams in some mildly spicy sauce that contains ground up sausage. These mollusks were perfectly cooked and the sauce had a good kick to it. There were also a few slices of bread to soak up the sauce and bits of sausage. I just wish they the clams were larger(small clams have such little meat) and there was more bread to soak all the yummy sauce up. Bone marrow — A roasted bone marrow that you spoon out and mix with spinach gnocchetti. The roasted bone marrow tasted sooo good and fatty mixed with the pasta. Not really a complex dish at all, but maybe its appeal lies in its simplicity. Cavatelli alla norcina — Pasta with pork sausage and black truffle sauce. I’ve never been a fan of truffle oil but I even thought the black truffle sauce here was delicious. A super hearty dish though. Spaghetti rustichella — Spaghetti with lobster, and the sauce is supposed to contain uni and squid ink. This dish still tasted great but didn’t really justify the price. And personally, I think it’s a waste to put uni in any kind of sauce… it has such a delicate flavor that gets overwhelmed easily from other flavors. Pork Ragu — Thin flat noodles with some pork based sauce and fennel seeds. Worst description ever because I didn’t really read the menu description on this but I loved it! One of my favorites. My only complaint is that the portions are small and the prices are pretty steep. I guess they can do that because their food is good and they know it. The restaurant is packed and you need a reservation to guarantee a meal here. I’d definitely come back again to try some of their other menu items. They might sound totally plain and unimpressive but I know that Bestia will surprise me.

It’s as good as it gets. Well… it could get better… I had to make a reservation for my birthday dinner two months in advance for a Monday, 5:30pm reservation. Who eats at 5:30pm? Luckily, we took the day off so we weren’t rushing after work. The usual reservations that seem to be available are 5:00pm and 9:30pm. We’re too young for a 5:00pm and too old for a 9:30pm dinner. The other area where Bestia can do better is sound proofing. My husband, mom and dad complained that it was too loud. Now that I got that out of the way, onto what’s great… the drink and food. To drink I had the Make My Day with Tequila, China China?, agave syrup, pineapple juice lemon juice and barrel aged bitters. It made my day. My husband and dad opted for a Saison and Kolsch beer. My mom saved herself for the Turley bottle we brought. Corkage is spendy at $ 30.00 but it’s my birthday damn it I’m worth it! Onto the food… Grilled Octopus with Green garbanzo purée, charred cherry tomatoes, potatoes, Basil salsa verde and herbed salad.-Delicious! Prosciutto Cotto Pizza with San Marzano tomatoes, Grana Padano?, fennel pollen cream, wild fennel and baby arugula.-Tasty. Spaghetti Rustichella with lobster, sea urchin, garlic, Calabrian chilies and squid ink bottarga. –Wow! Grilled Aspen Ridge Skirt Steak with Cipollini Agrodolce?, heirloom carrots, fingerling potatoes and fried sage.-Delicious! The fried sage was a nice touch. Roasted Young Broccoli with a caper anchovy sauce, lemon zest oregano and currants.-Very good. For dessert we had the Pear Ricotta Tart with Black pepper ice cream and the Valrhona Fair Trade Bittersweet Chocolate Tart with salted caramel, cacao crust, olive oil and sea salt.-What a great ending to a fantastic meal! The service was great from start to finish. We’ll be back.

My friends took me to Bestia for my birthday, which was a great surprise since I’ve wanted to eat here since they opened but just never had the foresight to make a reservation a whole month in advance. I’d heard mixed reviews — from it being the best place ever to being totally overrated — so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Because it wasn’t my birthday I didn’t see the bill, so being blind to the price I can say that everything was truly outstanding. I know that it’s pretty expensive to eat here, so if I had paid maybe I’d only be giving it four or four and a half stars. I’d call the vibe«rustic chic» — don’t expect white tablecloths or anything fancy for the décor. It’s got a hip, vibrant vibe, and the crowd to go with it. We started off with a bottle of champagne at the bar, followed by a bottle of Sangiovese at the table(Fonterenza Rosso di Montalcino 2012 — very smooth and highly recommended!). The wine list is quite large(over 100) and organized by category and grape varietal: Fizz, Rosé, White and Red wine. On to the most important part, the food:
Chicken Liver Crostino — chives, marjoram, aged balsamic, sea salt — a generous serving size, I loved it because I am a fan of chicken liver(but not everyone at my table was). Cavatelli alla Norcina — ricotta dumplings, housemade pork sausage, black truffles, grana padano — THEBESTDISHHERE — Amazing — a must order. Seriously so flavorful with pasta cooked to perfection — just great. Quadretti allá Carota — mushroom ragu. summer squash. squash blossoms. carrot purée, carrot tops — also great — pasta is where they really set themselves apart here(and what I think really matters when selecting an Italian restaurant). Burrata Pizza — san marzano tomatoes, castelvetrano olives, oregano, fermented chilies — Again just really flavorful, more so than I’m used to with Pizza. There was just the right amount burrata such that the pizza wasn’t soggy or overpowered by it, and the other flavors paired perfectly with it. Grilled Whole Branzino. charred sweet peppers, basil, parsley, red walnuts, preserved oranges — I love branzino and it’s a go to dish for me — but what was really special about this one is that it is served whole — yet deboned! We took one look at the whole fish and were sure there must be on the bone, but somehow, they managed to debone it while keeping its structure. Impressed. We had a really fun time here from start to finish. Great food, great service, great drinks, and a great vibe.

It’s as good as people say! I was wondering if Bestia was hyped up because so many people talk about it but it is really that good. We got the Roasted Bone Marrow, Veal Tartare Crostino, Spaghetti Rustichella, and the Mascarpone Rice Pudding for dessert. Veal Tartare Crostino with shallots, parsley, lemon, tonnato sauce — Just wow… this is a must! All the ingredients worked so well together and each bite was just pure deliciousness. Roasted Bone Marrow with spinach gnocchetti, crispy breadcrumbs, aged balsamic — This was amazing! The bone marrow and the spinach gnocchetti complemented each other so well and the gnocchetti helped to cut the richness of the bone marrow so it wasn’t overbearing. Spaghetti Rustichella with lobster, sea urchin, garlic, calabrian chilies, squid ink bottarga, breadcrumbs — This was surprisingly my least favorite but still really good. I think I got too excited when I saw that there was sea urchin(I am an uni whore) but I couldn’t really taste it very much. The lobster was cooked perfectly and so fresh and sweet. Mascarpone Rice Pudding with hachiya persimmon, orange blossom pistachios, persimmon caramel — I don’t like things too sweet so this was perfect to my taste! Once again, all the ingredients were harmonious and blended so well together! Service was awesome. Our glasses were always refilled, finished plates taken away quickly, etc. Our server Brett was great too. He recommended the crostino, bone marrow, and the rice pudding so I completely trust him now. I already made another reservation because I wish I got to try the Mussels and Clams & the Cavatelli alla Norcina too!
