SECRET: sign-up online for a FREE birthday scoop! Disclaimer; it is a child size, spend the extra money [at time of writing $ 1] for an EXTRA scoop. The Cherry Garcia from a ‘Scoop Shop’ tastes different from the grocery store. This is the second time I have visited this shop and have had a very positive customer service experience [The people they hire are very laid back] the guy who served my 79 year young Mother was very patient, spoke in an unhurried way. SECRET, SECRET: Eat at Phillippe’s The Original and use their parking to walk to Union Station and get a scoop!

Ben & Jerry in Union Station, Los Angeles. A traveler’s sticky dream. This little store is a spotless and well lit island of ice cream dreams. The guy scooping the ice cream was friendly, and maybe even a little generous. There’s nothing quite like sitting in Union Station waiting for the Pacific Surfliner while holding a B&J cone topped with a massive scoop of Cherry Garcia. Ah yes.

Loved coming here. Came by yesterday, and got a delicious milkshake recommended by David. All though, I initially wanted a frap from Starbucks, the line was too long, and didn’t have much time. Came by here, and asked him if they had any drink, similar to the java chip frap. He made a milkshake, even better then the Starbucks drink. I highly recommend, their coffee milkshakes.

There was a guy there named Kevin. It was a hot day and I was waiting for the train to get to Riverside. I had never been to a Ben and Jerry’s. I told him it was my first time being at one and he was very patient with me. When I saw the menu, I knew I wanted a smoothie but I couldn’t decide between two. I asked which would be best and this gentleman told me that they are the same in citrus factors but one is more refreshing than the other. I ended up getting a smoothie called«Life’s A Beach» and it was refreshing! This man knows his smoothies! Thank you, Kevin. You made my first time there and at the hot station bearable.

I love Ben and Jerry and I went here to get one scoop of ice cream each for me and my fiancée and we could taste the samples, the staff were really funny and friendly, it was clean and lastly, its ben and jerry. Nuff said. Although I would still just buy at the ralphs or whatever and eat it rather than paying 10 box for buying two scoops of ice cream though. :P

Boy oh boy do I love Ben and Jerry’s! They have frequent buyer cards and yummy buy 1, get 1 deals from now until February. A scoop of phish food, chocolate therapy, or milk & cookies always makes a stressful day — or beautiful day — more delicious. In addition to wonderful thick creamy fat scrumptious ice cream, the cashiers are also so friendly and willing to strike up conversations with you. I don’t know why more people don’t buy ice cream here — Ben and Jerry’s is a god send and always brings a smile to my face when I pass through on my way to and from work. You can eat the version in pints at the market but I swear the ice cream tastes much much better at the actual shoppe! If you haven’t stopped by or perhaps thought it was too expensive/sweet/fattening — please reconsider! Don’t you want to be happy? The experience is more than worth it, and their kindness is more than welcome — especially if you’re a weary Amtrak or Metrolink commuter and your train was late/canceled or you are just overwhelmed by Union Station.

The only bright spot in an otherwise icky food service seen at LA’s Union Station. And I mean that literally. It seemed to be the cleanest concession by far — probably because it appears to be new. And of course Ben & Jerry’s ice cream is excellent.

The customer service was great and he was extremly funny. I lived in DC Metro area for several years and have been to a B&J… This is a small located within Union Station and has a nice selection.

LA’s hot weather was making me want something cold & sweet! Luckily Ben & Jerrys came to the rescue at Union Station right before catching the Pacific Surfliner to SD. Tried the Caramel Machiato. This kicks starbucks’ arse! Plus, the worker helping me was very kind and friendly.

Yesterday was a fantastic day for Union Station! We got Ben and Jerry’s! Sweet! Unfortunately, it represents the end of the line for my gut. Thank goodness its $ 3.95 for a little rinky dink ice cream cone. That should keep me from eating there every day. On a related note, there is an ice cream called«Late Night Snack» consisting of fudge covered potato chips, vanilla ice cream and a salty caramel swirl. It may sound odd, but it is so, so good…
