Five stars for BERLIN! I followed her here to get my haircut and deep conditioned! She is so amazing. Her service was amazing! She taught me how to take care of my hair and cut all the dead off for me. She also taught me how to blow dry my hair like she does. I’m more than satisfied with her work! And she did just what I asked. Cut enough but kept it long. Thank you Berlin!

I needed to get my hair done for my friend’s wedding. While I have my girl who normally colors my hair, my boyfriend got me a living social coupon for Bella Mia. He knew I was interested in them when I thought about getting a balayage. So trust me when I say that I really wanted to like this place.
The number I had dialed to book an appointment ended up being Jackie’s cell phone. I mistakenly referred to the deal as a groupon and she dismissed me right away, saying I must have dialed the wrong number. I thought she was going to hang up on me. So immediately, things were off to an odd start.
When I corrected myself, she informed me that the deal was only valid for shoulder length hair and was actually for a color touch-​up. I told her that my hair was passed my shoulders and that I had highlights, but was really only concerned about covering the grey. Because of the length, she told me that it would likely be an additional $ 75-​$ 80 charge. The promotional value for the coupon was $ 200. I debated whether I should keep it or opt for a refund, but decided just to go. I just figured they must be worth the splurge. After hanging up with Jackie, I took another look at the fine print on the deal and while it did mention the shoulder length hair, there was nothing on there about touch-​up color only.
Katerina was able to fit me in. I told her I was open to whatever she recommended. Because I’m not great at maintenance, she recommended going a shade darker than my natural color so it wouldn’t be so obvious when it grows out. For the cut, she suggested layers to frame my face. I wanted to keep my length, just because I’m about a year away from a hair donation.
The cut was nice enough, but it wasn’t anything I haven’t had before. Layers around the face, thinned out in the back. I could have gotten the same cut for $ 60, quite frankly. The deal included a heat treatment, but I don’t see any difference in my hair texture from it. Katerina only charged me an additional $ 50. She was as sweet as can be and I definitely paid and tipped her for her services, but I don’t plan on going back, especially if I’m going to be charged $ 250 for a simple cut and color. I’m also not too keen on the bait-​and-​switch for the living social coupon. This was the first time an establishment gouged me on a promotional deal.

First off, they could fit me in on a Saturday morning with only an hour notice. That in itself was amazing.
My experience at Bella Mia was amazing. My stylist, the wonderful Berlin, made my dried out and boring hair special again. I didn’t intend on getting it blow-​dried and styled, but we went for it so she could explain the best way to curl and shape my new cut. She helped me with a little bang tutorial and recommended a few products. I highly recommend this salon if you’re in the area.
Tip: bring your check book instead of just credit card

Gentlemen, I’ve been going to Berlin for 8 years now. She has consistently given me a great cut… and I can always count on her for great advice when I get tired of my hairstyle and want to «switch it up.» I sometimes go to other hairstylists for convenience sake and always regret it. The last time I «cheated» on Berlin with another hairstylist, I walked away looking like Beaker from the Muppets. After asking me «what the heck did you do?» — when she saw the carnage left by another hairstylist, she proceeded to give me the best cut of my life.
So grateful for this powerhouse of a hairstylist in Eagle Rock. i will no longer stray.

Jackie Brown at Bella Mia is by far the best colorist ever! And I always like the way she cuts my hair! When my hair started to thin out after surgery she recomended a treatment that really worked. Even when she was out withvan injury her staff stepped up and never disappointed me! She’s a Rock star

Berlin cut my hair And did a great job. Chopped of all my hair, went super short and she was a wizard with all her tools and gadgets. Very happy!

I’ve lived in the LA area for years now and I’ve never found a hairstylist that I liked, until I met Berlin! The first time she cut my hair I was complimented by so many people, even by a stranger at the airport! So I went back because I wanted short hair, and she did a fantastic job! I’ve had my share of bad hair cuts, but it’s all over now thanks to her!

Absolutely love Berlin! Have used her for many years and I’m sure for years to come! She knows what she’s doing and I always trust her opinion. I know whatever she recommends will look great. Got a cut and color today and couldn’t be happier! She knows how to color very well and doesn’t take shortcuts. Always a great experience with Berlin.

Absolutely wonderful. I called them at my lunch, nervous I wouldn’t be able to get an appointment for tonight (labor day weekend) but they got me in even after closing time.
I got there and Berlin was my consultant. She talked through my cut with me (I had super damaged hair) and about the ways to take care of it. Products. And about coming back for my color.
It’s always scary the first time you try out a new salon and all I had were a few Unilocal reviews and knowing it was «local». If recommend this place to any of my friends and will for sure be going back.

Just a quick update to say that Jackie responded quickly and kindly to my review, privately as well as the public response she posted. Her sincerity was genuine, and she immediately offered a free haircut or massage. I wasn’t able to take her up on the offer, as I was pregnant and in the process of moving to the Bay Area, but I wanted to come back and make sure to note the excellent customer service she’s providing. Bella Mia is the best! I got my hair cut by Jackie and she’s fantastic! She’s extremely knowledgable and knows so much about hair. I wasn’t sure what style I wanted to go for, just wanted something new. Jackie gave me great suggestions and I love the cut I ended up with!

I haven’t left many reviews on Unilocal since I am a busy motivational speaker, but I feel such a debt of gratitude to Jackie at Bella Mia and to other Unilocal users that I will take the time to tell you why I gave it five stars. First… she gives the most amazing haircut. The kind of cut you can style yourself from the first few days to the end when you need to get it cut again. Before coming to her it seemed I had one good week where I could actually be happy with the way it styled. I trust her enough to say «I need a change… do something different». She never disappoints.
Let’s talk color. I have had so many compliments on my hair, especially the color, from friends and strangers it’s hard to pick one to share. However one stands out… I was at a car show and a man complimented me and when I casually thanked him… he said «wait…I run a famous hair salon in Beverly hills… this is more than a compliment».
Finally… The salon is clean, the people who work there are friendly, Jackie is kind and fun and actually listens when you tell her what you want. Make the appointment… you won’t be sorry.

I have always followed Katerina everywhere she goes. I love her. She does great color and cuts and I can always trust that she’ll fix me up the way I want her to. Jackie, the owner, is also super nice and really fun to talk to. I like the family feel here too. Free drinks on the house also!

I would highly recommend Desiree Greco at Bella Mia Salon and Spa to my family and anyone I know. She does my color and she is very knowledgable as to what color matches you best. She has taken me from long deep red hair to short chocolate brown hair and every style has looked great and I have gotten many compliments on it. She has also done quite a few Brazilian blowouts on my hair and it comes out wonderful and silky smooth every time. She also gives great facials and manicures and pedicures. She is a great and easy person to talk to during appointments. She makes it very easy to book appointments with her. She does a little bit of everything at Bella Mia salon!

I have been going to Jackie since high school and absolutely adore her! I have been to other stylists before and she is so much more attentive than anyone I’ve seen. She knows my hair and adjusts my style to fit my needs! The customer service from everyone at Bella Mia is amazing as well! I always feel pampered when I go!

Where to begin …
I met Desiree, one of the stylists, at a friends get together and was looking for a new place to get my hair done. I had just moved to LA and needed to find somewhere decently priced yet good quality.
My first experience at Bella Mia was literally life changing, I walked out of there and went home and cried — not because i was upset — but for the first time ever I actually felt beautiful. I had gone in just expecting to get a cut and she asked if she could try out a different look for me, I decided to go for it and she completely got everything i had ever wanted my hair to be and made it happen.
Desiree has an eye for not only hair but makeup as well, she can really tell what fits each person that walks in and she takes time to get to know her clients. I would recommend her to anyone. She is the true gem of this shop, and deserves much more recognition than she gets. She has the raw talent that you don’t see a lot in hair salons now a days and actually takes the time to figure out what works best for each individual client.

2.5 really but I’m rounding it down. Came here for a mani/​pedi. It was done ok – nothing phenomenal at all and it took longer than it needed to. Caught a glimpse of two stylists doing clients’ hair… wouldn’t let this salon touch my hair for my life. Just glad I’m able to cross this off my life and move on to the next salon and spa.

I have been going to Jackie Brown (owner) since I was in the 6^th grade. I moved to Seattle and while living there I unfortuantely had a bad dye job and I thought my hair was ruined forever. NOT TRUE!!! I came to Jackie when I was home for Christmas and after some serioud corrective color, she fixed me and made me look fabulous. Granted, I’m partial because I’ve known her for so long but she does the best color and cuts and listens to what you want. She’s a perfectionist which means until it looks perfect on you, she won’t let you leave. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that you’re going to be there forever until it gets done right, it’s done right the first time. Go here, you won’t be sorry.
