Good selection of beers I would have never known about otherwise. Good service, fair prices and the atmosphere is relaxing

Reminds me of a bar I used to hang out in years ago, but only infinitely cooler —

I loved this place. I wish they would open back up. I just called and they’re still closed with no idea when they could come back.

Oh elusive Beer Bar — I’ve been trying to reach you for a while now. The idea of all beer bar sounds amazing — but I just called(4÷20÷11 @ 5pm) and the number rang to Rambutin Thai & they’ve told me they are remodeling and to keep checking. So for now I’m sharing the info to fellow Unilocalers that they’re temporarily closed.

Great selection of beer, with taps that change daily. Mostly Belgian beers but a good wide selection from all over including a large list of California Micro brews. Connected to a great Thai restaurant, Rambutan Thai, who will bring your food into the bar for you. They also have a friend chicken combo plate that everyone who tries it seems to love. It’s the perfect bar for anyone who loves beer and a bar that isn’t to crowded or to loud. My roommates and I love this bar and have dearly missed it being closed for the last month. Anyone hear of when it will be back?

This place would get 5 stars, because it’s great when open. But it is always closed it seems now? Anyone know if they’re ever open any more? Stymied my past few attempts to drink here.

Quickly becoming my favorite neighborhood watering hole this slyly signless dive bar is tucked between good phở and good thai, and serves great fried chicken. They have a lovely happy hour, six taps, and plenty of interesting bottles, plus the seem to buy each beer in small amounts, as I see at least 2 kegs and 3 or 4 bottles change each week. Keeps a nerd like me interested without ending up with kegs full of stale beer, which seems to happen at some of these places in LA with more than 10 taps. The staff rock, and people seem to talk to each other in this bar, more than most of silver lake.

Sorry to say this place is weak. Hope the owners read this & wise up. Especially sad ’cause I can walk here from my birdhouse. $ 8 for a pint of alesmith? Great beer but why you charging Biltmore prices? You’re fooling the public or just don’t know better. Lower your prices, add more taps and don’t be so precious. I mean you’re calling yourself beer bar after all.

Beer Bar is the best new bar to open in Silverlake. Awesome location, the bartenders, Michael and Pete were the best: quick and friendly, fantastic beer selection, good location!!! Hop 15 in sooo good, and soo hoppy(if you like IPA’s) Just opened and definitely worth checking out, you won’t be disappointed! (this review was from the other Beer Bar Unilocal.don’t understand hows theres 2, but whatever :))

Great local bar with a large variety of craft beers. I ate at Rambutan next door and went to the bar afterwards. When I was eating, I didn’t even hear the bar noise, so I was surprised to find the bar packed with people. The bartenders are friendly and helpful in picking out a beer. The prices are reasonable too– 2 beers for just $ 10. They also serve food: I noticed that they had fried chicken on their menu. Definitely going to be frequenting Beer Bar in the future.

Beer Bar is definitely starting off on the right hoof. The staff is genial and unpretentious, the beer selection is huge(and growing), and the small menagerie of antlers on the wall feels more«eco-sensitive use of the whole animal» than«Dick Cheney’s game room.» That said, single women will enjoy the hunting grounds – my party of non-single women couldn’t help but notice that we were surrounded on all sides by herds of eligible-looking bachelors on a Saturday night.

Awesome décor and friendly/knowledgable staff on the huge beer selection. Plus there’s a tv in case you want to catch a game and thai food next door.

As a beer lover, I was curious going into this place because a lot of beer bars tend to have the same old microbrew selections but I am happy to report, that the selection here BLEWMEAWAY! I mean, dale’s Pale ale? I haven’t seen that since Colorado :) They also had a lot of interesting Asian beers and European ones too that I am excited to try. The atmosphere conjurs an old hunting lodge, with mounted antlers galore and maps of hunting regions — very cool, and they had one of those bowling arcade machines in the corner! This was a great place for my date and I because we could play the bowling game and talk about the versatile beer list together, all while taking in the Rugged environment. Candlelight provided the perfect supplement. I will def be coming back here, if you are hungry too they let you bring in Thai food from next door, perfect for spicing up your palate, only to wash it down with more beer, yummmmmmmmmm.

In true Silverlake«style», Beer Bar is hard to locate behind a signless, plain black door. But, once inside — it is unmistakeable. A wall full of various brews, sans the typical Bud/Miller/Coors, tells you to man up and have a few. If you don’t know what to order, the knowledgeable staff will help you decide. The old-school beer signs are a tease for those who like to suck down the swill they advertise, but if you care to expand your palette — Beer Bar delivers.

This place is too cool. Beer bar has beer categorized in regions, California, United States, Europe, Germany, and Asia. The Meantime Coffee and the Green Tea ones are good. The bartenders are very knowlegable and will recommend beers for you. Amiance is very cool, well polished without being too over the top. There isn’t a sign outside yet indicating where the bar is, just a markless door. But once you get inside, it’s like a whole new place with a long bar, tables, and a bowling parlor game. It’s attached to the Rambutan Thai, but on the Saturday night I was there, the restaurant wasn’t open, just Beer Bar. Great place. Will be back, surely. Currently featured on Thrillist:
