I have been coloring my hair (and others) at home for easily 20 years. When I moved to LA, I had a hard time finding the brand of color that I used. I found this store about 5 years ago. Not only do they carry my brand, but they have ALWAYS been super helpful with my in-​home color needs. Just this weekend I had a hair color crisis with my cousin! She had previously colored her hair with a product that I was not familiar with (Elumen) and when we tried to change it, we were in for it. We tried a couple of different processes, but when nothing worked I had to ask for help. This shop doesn’t carry the Elumen products, but when we told Albert (I think the son of the owners) what was going on, he had some advice that we also tried. We tried a couple more things, but weren’t happy with the results and went back the next day. He had done some research on Elumen and his (I think mother) recommended another option, but said if that didn’t work he would get some Elumen Color for us so we could get it right. Amazing!!! A shop that would go out of their way to find the product that we might need just to help us! Come on — that’s awesome! These people are great! I don’t know what happened with the other reviewer, there just must’ve been a mistake in communication. Don’t let Miette discourage you from going to this store.

This used to be my go to beauty supply store in hollywood until today. i bought my conditioner and was suprised when he told me the total was $ 18.96. it is usually around 10 $. when i looked at the bottle after he gave me my receipt, i noticed the tag on the bottle said $ 12.39. It stopped me in my tracks because i couldn’t figure out how that led to a $ 6 tax. when i pointed this out to him, he said «no, it’s $ 17» and just waved me away. if i had not been in shock i would have asked for a full refund. i just couldn’t believe it. i hope he enjoys the $ 6 extra i paid because he’s now lost out on all of my future business.
