As for prices, I’m not sure about the comparison since I haven’t been going to a lot of places and there aren’t so many around here. Don’t know if all Bead Source stores have the same pricing. Also, might depend on the neighborhood of a store, Reality is: rent is higher in some areas which will most likely lead to higher prices. Gas will possibly cost one more to drive to an area where the prices are less etc. Sometimes you can park in the back and go in through the alley which is nice. I like the way this store is clean and organized. So much has to do with customer service… I was here awhile ago and the employee was ok but did not have such a friendly demeanor. She did offer help but seemed annoyed when questions were asked. Not«warm and fuzzy,» for a store that usually brings people enjoyment to be in. This time a different employee was very friendly and offered help.

The store is clean and well-organized. I didn’t really see much here I liked. I got all my starter supplies here and the service was very helpful. I just wish there were nicer charms and beads. I’ll definitely keep checking back.

Really fair prices, good selection, but not great(I hear the other Bead Source has more inventory), and amazing customer service. I’m looking forward to returning and someday checking out the other location.

Sorry, folks. I wish I could give you a better rating. I’m giving this Bead Source 2* only because the people are so great. The Bead Source on Beverly is WAY overpriced. The people have always been helpful, friendly, and creative with fantastic ideas. The store is small and they don’t have a lot of inventory, but they are fun to visit. Sometimes, they have some great finds, so they’re worth a visit if you’re in the area. Here’s the problem: they are VERY expensive. There are places that I can get 1,000 crimping beads for $ 3.25; they charge $ 3.75 for 40. Do you like working with Swarovski crystals? Me, too. I can find 12 of them(4 mm) for $ 4 each; they charge about $ 8. I bought some beautiful cloisonné beads for $ 6.95EACH. Found several beauties– $ 9 for a half dozen.

Ok, so this is ANOTHER Bead Source — and in the location of a former Bead store. They have SIX locations according to their business card. And thanks to Unilocal,I was able to find this newer store by virtue of a previous beady tenant via a Search. You still with me? Awesome. So, I don’t know much about Beads, Austrian Crystals, Charms, et al, but this place offered many beads, some very inexpensive. I went here for a one-off project, and did just great. After hitting Blick down the street and getting most of my art supplies, Bead Source saved the day with its many colorful offerings.
