I have been going to this Baja ever since it opened. Today I phoned ahead a lunch order. When I arrived for the pick up, I stood under the sign that reads ‘phone orders’. They had one cashier and two customers ahead of me. After serving the two customers in line the cashier went to prepare orders coming up and left me standing and waiting. I called to her that I as here and waiting for a phone order. She informed me that I was standing in the wrong place. There was no one else at the counter. I had to walk to the register and then she served me. Seems so absurd. I hope the cashier liked her power play in a dying fast food place.

No changing table in bathrooms. Hope you enjoyed when I changed my daughter’s poop explosion on your table. I already have about 5K moms banning you until you install them. Wtf is the matter with you? You obviously know babies come to your establishment since you have high chairs. Good job.

One of the best Baja Fresh locations we’ve visited! Still the same tasty salt-bath, but there seemed to be extra chicken on the salad, and this was, hands down, the most fresh-looking and attractive self serve salsa bars I’ve ever seen. Maybe they had just redone the kale garnishes or something? Parking here on a Sunday night was crazy… Maybe those honest folks across the street at church were helping themselves to some free parking? It sure seemed like quite a few were jaywalking across the street after finding a nice place in the decidedly-not church lot adjacent to all the stores and restaurants of the shopping center. Let he without sin cast the first stone, I guess… Anyway, since 2⁄3 of my offspring were asleep after testing around the Underwood Family Farm Harvest Festival, we enjoyed our meal in the truck, and even with the mêlée that often occurs in a to go bag, everything looked great, tasted better, and didn’t fall apart when you picked it up. We don’t frequent Porter Ranch too often… The annual pumpkin patch trip, and the occasional Reagan Library field trip, maybe. But glad to know this Baja Fresh delivers the goods, and is freeway convenient on those back-route trips along the 23&118 when the 101 south is a parking lot.

We eat here about twice a week and never get tired of it. If you subscribe w/your email, they send you coupons, $ 5 or $ 10 off meals! Healthy delicious food, and the staff is always really friendly. My favorite is the steak and shrimp burrito. Even if something’s not on the menu anymore, they will do their best to make it for you anyways. I also use them to cater my parties. We go to Baja Fresh all over the place, but this is one of my favorite locations.

All i have to say Baja Fresh has got to be better than Chipotle, the staff here is very quick and they listen to your specific needs when other places will give you what they think they heard. Baja Fresh is always nice and clean, they seem like they can handle a busy crowd with no problems. I didn’t have to wait long from the moment i order my food.

Not impressed with the service 30min wait for a salad? Which was all of my lunch break for work. I got the shrimp chile salad which comes with avocado and kale and speech and onions and tortilla strips and their was only five shrimps and three slices of avocado… not impressed. I had their tostada salad before which was decent but lacked flavor. The best thing was the tostada shell that’s it …

I just went into this location for my birthday. I received an email saying that they’ll give you a free burrito and went out of my way to come in. The manager told me that the coupon needed to be printed out. No where in the email did it say that and who has access to printers nowadays. They didn’t even wish me happy birthday or anything and completely wasted my time. Sorry but have to give this place a one star and very disappointed. Went next door for some good Thai food.

Surprisingly shocked. I can honestly say I’ve only been to Baja a handful of times. The service was nice and quick and should I mention that they don’t use microwaves? Well if you take a second to really look around the location this fact is clearly plastered along their walls. I got a Mexicano burrito with chicken. The burrito was decent in size but seemed a little under-sassy at $ 7. It tasted fine but just didn’t have anything to it. When asked by the server if I wanted it mild or spicy, I went with spicy since he said it wasn’t even remotely spicy and spicy it was not and this is coming from a girl with a fairly low heat tolerance. Perhaps, they just forgot the spice? Overall, I didn’t mind the food because it did the job and left me feeling light which is a nice change since you know some burritos can leave you feeling like death. Overall it’s alright… Tip They have a pretty fabulous salsa bar with a nice selection of pickins’

I will literally go this Baja Fresh for lunch at least five days a week. The restaurant is super clean and the staff there are so beyond friendly! They are really fast with your food. The best Baja Fresh restaurant I’ve been to.

Now that I’m not working there anymore I can leave a review of the quality of the food. Working at this one for a couple months, I saw the dedication of keeping their food absolutely fresh. When something tasted a little off, they would make a fresh batch. I visited the baja fresh in moorpark,(now closed) and I noticed that they dont make fresh guacamole every day. Not only that, they even brought chips that were already cooked from the fridge! Who does that? They left the guacamole In the fridge overnight and when I ate their baja burrito steak, it was absolutely disgusting. The cook in porter ranch, Rudolfo, comes early every morning just to make the salsas and guacamole every morning, and not to mention the meat here is absolutely fresh. The owner constantly checks the food throughout the restaurant to make sure everything is FRESH. He’s big on customer service and food quality, and those are the two things I absolutely admire about him. If you guys really want fresh food, come to this one!

Usually I have no problem with Baja Fresh. They usually accept my coupons no problem. Unless it’s the birthday coupons. They did not accept my coupon when I presented it. So much for a «free burrito to help celebrate my day.» Maybe the coupons shouldn’t be sent out if they won’t be accepted.

The rice was a little dry but their tacos were good. I can’t really say anything else about the other food since I haven’t tried it. The pico de gallo was really mushy and you could taste the tap water they used to wash the tomatoes or something. Even my mom said it kind of tastes like soap. You have to ask for limes now. They don’t leave them out. I asked and they have me three and when I asked for more the girl there said she can’t give out that much. I’m like, there’s two people. And the limes were dry. I’ll still come back to Baja Fresh but maybe another location where they aren’t stingy.

Sadly this place has lost it’s luster over the last decade. With Poquito Mas, Rubios and so many other worthy competitors around Baja has taken a back seat. The best times are behind Baja and it’s evident. Their food reminds me of another popular chain Moe’s Southwest Grill(in the eastern part of the country) that has bland food and a weak salsa bar. There’s nothing wrong with their food here. Meanwhile, it doesn’t pack enough flavor to crave a return.

We have been eating baja a lot lately. Usually the veggie burrito and chicken salad. I think it is generally decent but a healthy burrito just seems wrong. So I’m not sure if this is baja’s or my fault for ordering it. the salad is disappointing but the wife likes it. Pretty much chopped romaine and ice berg lettuce and some slices of tomato. gave them an extra star because the service is great, the best one I’ve had at a baja. would I drive out of the way to get there? no. is it A-ok? yes.

I used to love eating Baja Fresh every week. Thank god this location is still the cleanest out of all of them around town. Their salsas are really good for it being a fast food joint. Also, their Pico de Gallo is like no one else’s.

Nice clean place, helpful staff and the food is fresh and made to order. It takes longer than taco bell but you can tell the food quality difference. The fish tacos use Wahoo fish and they tasted a bit dry but the salsa and tomatoes are unlimited so pour it in your taco and you’re fine. It’s a bit pricey but just 99 cents extra for a third taco, easily can share. Overall, good fresh food and well run location.

Baja continues to be my favorite mexican-themed fast food restaurant, for a couple reasons: 1) food is ALWAYS made to order, unlike hunks and chunks of chicken and meat sitting for hours at chipotle or freebirds. 2 Salsa bar, while pissed that one salsa is now more watered down, still the best salsa bar of any food chain. Cilantro, pico de gallo, jalapenos, red and green, and my favorite salsa, dont know the name looks like muddy sewer but tastes great(the one on the far left of the bar) I call it «sewage salsa» its good used to be very good now they added more water so it isnt thick like b4. And they thought no one would notice. 3) Place is generally clean and you can see cooks cook your food and handle them with plastic gloves. 4) Diverse option and besides the farm raised shellfish and fish which is garbage, I like the chicken and meat. 5) has buy $ 100 for $ 80 gift certs… haha betcha love it now dont ya? 6) Dont have to beg for condiments. Except for their infinitesimally small salsa cups, you can get toothpicks, napkins, hot sauce, etc. all with no hassle. Just ate a steak burrito today, was quite good… not one piece of meat was cold, unchewable, or tasteless. And, take notes chipotle… it actually… had…MEATINIT! DUUUUUHHHH let me go to chipotle DUHHHHHHHHH its crowded must be good DUHHHHHHH I’m a shitface zombie DUHHHHHHH

I stop here routinely as I get my nails done next door at The Nail Forum. They are always quick, friendly, and my order is always correct. Plenty of seating, esp with the outdoor patio, which has umbrella’s so you could enjoy the day without being in the sun. One time(and only once) was the soda super watered down. But I told the girl behind the counter and they fixed it right away and apologized.
