Do people realize how sensitive a baby’s ears are? I was offended by how incredibly load the PA was. Waaaaay too loud for the little ones. Bummer too since my baby was into all the lights and other kids. We left immediately.

We took our boy to BLD when he was about 2 yrs old. It wasn’t very fun. It was too many parents and not enough little kids. Today we went to the Free event at the Americana and it was pretty much the same. I know it was free and all(which was better than $ 20 which it was before) but even free, it wasn’t much fun. The lines for the various things to do were gigantic and again way more parents dancing than little ones. Baby Boogaloo was much much much better when it was going on. :(Oh well.

My 13-month old son had a good time watching kids and dancing away at Baby Loves Disco at their event at the Northridge Fashion Center CA. Only wished they had coordinated a better dance floor for the younger kids/babies since there were kids ranging from age’s 1 – 8 including parents dancing on the same small dance floor area, it became a bit stressful having to make sure no one accidently kicked/punched/stepped on your child as the parents/kids were dancing away to the music.

Okay so this is a moving activity that takes place once a month in the Los Angeles area and different cities in the United States. It is for parents and their young children crawlers to about age 8 or so. They get a nightclub and rent it during the day on Saturdays from 2 – 5 they have a DJ, Bubble machines, Hula Hoops, Little egg shaped maraca’s, Lots of snacks, fresh fruit and veggies, Juice for the kiddies, Dancing and games(simon says, anyone?) The best part is A full bar for parents. They are cautious about serving any one person say more than 2 drinks. But I was walking distance(it was at the Derby) so I was okay! They have local vendors selling a few items and the such. Also they had a Henna tattoo lady giving the kids really cool tats. And it was a big hit! It is not cheap $ 15.00 pp. But I loved it and we will go back again. My 4 year old had a blast and I must say all the parents seemed to be having a really good time as well. Very fun! ps. I had to put the Derby address so I could post this review but I believe that they will in a different location next time. Also they are taking the month of Sept. off and will be back in October.
