Love this place for the fabric selection. But they only get 2 Stars because of the dishonesty! The fabrics for sale are Previously Iron Pressed into Folds, then laid out for sale! The sales person says each fold is 1 yard in length! But the folds are a little over an inch shorter than a yard! And in the fabric business accurate yardage is very important! Based on my previous purchases from here I have been jipped out of over 2.5 ft of fabric! DONTBESOMESMERIZEDBYTHEBEAUTIFULFABRICSTHATYOUPAYMOREFORWHATYOUREALLYGET!

Picked up a few head wraps for my Mom from here today and it was a really pleasant experience. Great service from helpful and friendly smiling faces and I walked away with some really beautiful materials for my MamaQueen … She’s gonna like what I found, I’m sure of it. Thanks Ashanti Fabrics… See you again soon…

They have a large range of african wax fabrics. The prices range from $ 5, $ 6 and $ 8/yard. I bought 5 pieces and I was pushing it for time on the day and needed more room in my suitcase if I bought more fabrics.

I live part time in Ghana and bring traditional wax print fabrics every year. I went in to take a look at the shop and I was pleasantly surprised. The owners and staff are all very friendly and helpful. The selection of fabrics is great and the prices are very good considering that they are imported from West Africa. I found a really beautiful super wax pattern and bought what we call a «half piece,» which is 6 yards. I’ll definitely be back.

WARNING! CALLBEFOREYOUGO!!! Google led me to this place when I typed in what I was looking for. When I went to their website it says open Monday — Saturday 8:30 — 5:30. Well I just came from there and its a monday, its noon and by the time I left at 11:45 it still wasn’t open. I got there at 10:20 was hungry, went next door to eat hoping they would open nope, walked to my usual fabric spot about 3 blocks aways, stopped shopped still not open. I came down here specifically for this place and I wasted gas doing so as they are not open. As a business they should not post hours that they done adhere to.

i spent six months in west africa, and finding this place made me very nostalgic. their sales staff is really nice and super helpful. And they remembered my name even though i’d only been in there once before. they have a selection of wax print and kente cloths and really reasonable prices($ 3-$ 8 a yard). they had a lot of that nigerian lace cloth that’s probably more expensive but i didn’t ask because that stuff is too gaudy for me. they also told me they would accept orders for african style dresses, which is exciting. i only wish they were larger, and it was like the mile long markets in ghana.
