I came here last night for the NO listening party and I immediately thought to myself, «Can I get married here?» Not too hard to find unless you really don’t have an address to go by, Dilettante is located in the Arts District of DTLA. If you drive pass murals and the Art Institute of LA, then you’re probably heading the right way. We were impressed with the space and loved how the band and gallery owners turned this open space into a laid back lounge complete with rugs, large throw pillows, a couple pews against the back walls and mood lighting. We were in the church of good indie music and art. Luckily, some nice contemporary pieces were on display and we navigated easily around the gallery to take it all in. There are two upstairs lofts with what looked like more sculptures and other pieces; however, I can’t be sure as access was blocked off for the listening party. I would very, very much love to come back and visit Dilettante if not for another event such as last night’s then most definitely for an art opening. This was truly my first taste of LA’s art scene and I will have to make it a point to come back for the monthly art walk.
