Appliance Repair Pros

Appliance Repair Pros came to our home to look at repairing our microwave for a charge of $ 69.00 that could be applied to the repair. The technician took a look, did not try to even operate the microwave and assessed that the repair would cost at least $ 1,000.00. Again, the man did not even plug in the microwave or attempt to look at anything. It is a built in microwave that my husband and I had already pulled out and unplugged so access was easy to look at it. My husband paid the man with a check and the guy left.
I immediately called the office when I got home to complain about the service. After I explained what had happened, the owner told me we would be refunded the service call no matter how we paid. Two weeks later, he cashed our check, I called to ask about cashing the check and why we were not refunded only to be told the woman would call me. I let the woman know that if I did not hear by the end of the day, I would be writing a Unilocal review that would not be good. I did not want to do that as I would have been satisfied with a returned check and that would have been that, but did not hear back as requested.

Horrible experience with this company! Would give them zero stars if that was possible. My washing machine was broken and they quoted me a price for the part. Then it took five days for them to get back to me and tell me they had «bad news» that the price for the part from the manufacturer had gone up $ 175 prior to them picking the part up. Then it was discovered that they had in fact negligently ordered a part for a dishwasher even though I had given them the product code for the washing machine. Would not recommend them to anyone!

Showed up an hour late, ran their vehicle into our garage door (literally, see photo), then misdiagnosed our refrigerator repair (which would have cost us another $ 400 had we not received a second opinion!).
We are now left with a non-​operational refrigerator, a damaged garage door, and damage to one vehicle bumper. But the best part is… wait for it… their technician appears to have no auto insurance! Thanks Appliance Repair Pros!
UPDATE: 5÷26÷15: At the advice of our attorney, we attempted to cash the check (for half of the damage they caused) from their technician today only to discover that he had insufficient funds. Unbelievable. You just can’t make this stuff up!!!
UPDATE: 5÷22÷15. Received an email from Unilocal informing us that they removed our evidence photos. They removed all but one. Wonder who made that request? It looks like Appliance Repair Pros is more concerned with laundering their image than doing the right thing. Can’t wait to meet them all in court!
UPDATE: 5÷18÷15. Alexey Shakhleyevich, the technician, sent us a letter threatening legal action if we sue Appliance Repair Pros. See attached photos, last paragraph of letter.
UPDATE: 5÷18÷15. Eugene Luts informs me that Alexey, the technician, is not an employee, that he is an independent contractor, and therefore, THEY BEAR NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS ACTIONS.
UPDATE: 5÷8÷15. After giving them THREE weeks to provide proof of insurance, we will be filing a lawsuit against them on Monday.
SUMMARY: I guess my question would be — does the business have liability insurance? What is their state license number?
LASTLY: Almost forgot, today (5÷18÷15), Eugene told me that if I posted the letter from his technician, that I «could expect a response from his attorney.» WOW! This is how these guys operate? Looking forward to it Eugene. In fact, please have him send me a letter — so I can post it here as well. LOL.

I contacted this company to fix my viking stove. The technician was on time, very friendly and reasonably priced. I will definitely use them again and recommend to friends/​family.

These people are knowledgable, efficient and prompt. They diagnosed the problem and charged a reasonable fee. I’m happy to add them to my go-​to vendor list.
