Ancient Thai Massage

I’ve been to many of the Thai Massage places near me and this one’s my fave. Nook is my go to gal. She’s a real healer. Very highly recommend her.

This is my go to massage place. I come here often with my husband and we get a couples massage. Every time we come here, we walk out relaxed like never before. The price is unbeatable, 1 hour for $ 45/​person, and everyone who works here is phenomenal.

Having experienced a ton of massages to anything from Thai, Korean, Foot Spas to Burke William’s type spas I know what a good massage is. My only experience here definitely felt lacking. Something I’ve noticed about small spots like this is the temperature, excessive use of oil and not being able to get what I want even when I communicate it. I found this spot local to me after snowboarding left me in need and I didn’t want to bother any of my massage therapist friends.
The MT asked if I wanted strong pressure. «Yes I think so!» I laughed my response because I find it easier to tell someone to hold back than to apply more once they start going and I access what «strong» means to them. In the past this has not been a problem at any Thai massage spots I’ve gone to. I thought maybe she was warming up before I realized she was moving on to the other side of my back and asked her to please go firmer. The pressure was still very light compared to any Thai massages I’ve received. She never walked on my back, the whole time my back waiting like an itch that needed to be scratched because I knew it would crack if she did. If it was a matter of upgrading me she never asked, but when I checked again there didn’t seem to be a difference in price for the Happy Hour (before 2pm) if I had gotten the deep combo. But then I was never really asked until I was on the table about the pressure that once anyway. I’m beginning to think she wasn’t as experienced…(but her flow wasn’t horrible so doubtful) OR she thought I wasn’t experienced with massage and decided to phone it in. Either way disappointing.
The room was cold, no heater on the table and when you’re slathered in oil you feel the air a lot. Also because there was so much oil I didn’t get the friction that makes a massage better or helps warm the muscles. Bummed :(

Luckily I live right around the corner to this place! The $ 35/​hr deal before 2 pm is legit!
Alise (i hope I spelled it right) was my masseuse. I would never want to get into a thumb war with her… She has the strongest thumbs ever! I asked for strong and boy did I get it. She worked my neck so well asking me if I was okay because she knew it hurt but it was exactly what I needed and the stretches were so nice.
Thai massage may not be for everyone but it you really want to release tension and get your body to the way it should feel it is the only way to go.

Just left and I have so much more movement in my neck, and the pain is basically gone. She didn’t skimp, did a wonderful job towels and linens smelled fresh. I’ll definitely be back.

I had my first massage here on a whim and got Sophia. The place is small but clean. She did a great job, I got the thai combo. I felt so much better afterwards. She really payed attention to the knots in my shoulders and worked on them several different times which I really appreciated. If you like thai massage and are in the neighborhood this is the place!

A real thai massage place. Julie and Alice are the best, they even speaks english. I was so tense from working out but now I feel alive again.
The combination massage is like heaven. I will recommend this place to anyone who loves massages. I wish I could come here everyday. I have tried many other places but todays’s massage was the best of all.

I woke up in complete and total pain one morning and this place was a block away from where I was getting my new car stereo. I came here and took advantage of their extremely competitive one hour special. Boy am I glad that I did! The woman who worked me over worked out every knot and kink in my body. I was a new man after! If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely go back.

Sofia was my therapist today, and it was so relaxing. She made all my bones to crack, but after her massage you feel like sleeping, which is a great experience, she made all of my stress gone. I will be here next wk again… sofia is scheduled next week tue and wed. thank you! job well done

This place is amazng!!! My brother recommended this place to my mom and I and we absolutely love it!!! My first time massge experience was this place and I don’t think I would like to try another Thai massage. Ill stick to this one!!! Ever since Ive been coming here with my mom We always had Julie and Nana. They are so good at what they do and they really work your body to brand new!!! I cant wait to go back there again. This place is great. Friendly staff, clean, offers privacy, and all at a very reasonable price. It’s not exactly at Beverly Hills but you will be fine; I live in the area.
All masseuses are doing a great job. My personal favorite is JULIE who deserves 12 stars, one for each cool trick she will apply to relieve knots and chronic pains. She is smart, friendly and she listens; just tell her where the problem is and she will fix it. And don’t forget to tip well your masseuse.

I always struggle with knots and lower back pain due to sitting at a desk job that requires me to sit in front of a computer for 8 – 10 hours a day.
I’ve been to plenty of Thai massage places and foot massages, but ancient thai is something else.
I got an hour of Thai and Swedish combo ($ 45 plus $ 15 tip) with Sophia. How does this tiny women have so much strength and power? She was able to stretch my entire body, work on my knots while I was still laying there relaxed.
I know my shoulders will be sore for few days, but that’s ok. It just means my money was well worth the massage.
FYI — Sophia works Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s

I’m a massage snob and I left here regretting ever going elsewhere. Had a 1.5 hour deep tissue massage from JULIE and she applied every odd and amazing maneuver on me. Standing, crawling, stretching… She pulled out all the stops. The space is a no frills shop in a not so fancy part of town but the spectacular service and great price is just what the knot doctor ordered.

Great spot! It’s a hidden gem :) I called one hour before and I was given an appointment that night. It was such a amazing massage. I have been an Ancient Thai Message customer for years. It is a great establishment. Simple and small, but comfortable and professionally operated. I recommend the combination Thai and Swedish message for $ 45. If you are extra tight get the full Thai message. If that’s too light go for the hard core deep message.

Currently working out my carpal tunnel and tennis elbow from playing guitar… This place is the best around town!
A one hour massage is only $ 35 before 2pm and they definitely make sure you get fully worked during that hour.
Fyi, the treatment can be painful, but that’s what it takes to work out nots that have built up over a number of years. No pain, no gain, right?
If you’re into a more relaxing massage, they can be very relaxing as well. Just let them know what you need and they will take care of you. I’ve had both treatments and I am always satisfied afterwards.

I’ve never gotten a Thai massage before, and I went here at the recommendation of a friend maybe because I was curious as to what the difference is between this and a normal spa-​style place would be.
So, maybe the first time I wasn’t really prepared for that difference, and the bodywork was much more intense than I could have expected. Maybe the massage was too deep for me? However, upon leaving, I felt like I went to a yoga class and really had a very good stretch. It made me feel better, and I walked a little taller as a result.
I think the nice ladies there could tell I wasn’t really accustomed to this style of massage, but they were super friendly and got me to relax. The only reason, had a similar massage experience with a Chinese-​style place in New York — very thorough, but that place wasn’t as clean or as accommodating as Ancient Thai.

Amazing!!! Clean, professional and diligent. I wish I could come here more. Tell your friends, tell your neighbors and tell your coworkers! This place is reasonably priced with the finest masters in Thai massage! I love this place!!! As an avid Thai massage enthusiast, I frequent many places in the area and have been to Thailand on numerous occasions. I have to say hands down one of the best massages I have ever had the honor of getting.
Their kind, strong and diligent hands made me feel relaxed like a noodle. This place is clean, reasonably priced and no funny business.
