Amy’s Hallmark Shop

Despite being a small store, there is a great assortment of gift items available in the store. I like how some of the items are personalizable.
The card aisles were a bit confusing. I had to walk through the aisles multiple times before locating the sections I needed. Though the number of cards per category is lower than at other stores, the cards they offer are exceptional. In other stores that offer cards, I feel that some cards seem low quality or forgettable. The assortment this store offers are sometimes pieces of art. Some of these cards are comparable to Papyrus (the higher end cards that are my go-​to brand to impress) and may cost less by a few dollars.
I love how for some of the cards, the decorative items attached to the front of the cards are ornaments that can be kept. Also, I was surprised to see a wedding card for same-​sex couples (the actual art features a heterosexual couple but there are extra pieces in the package for you to change out either the bride or groom to be two brides/​grooms). Very cool!
For the card I selected, the envelope was missing so at the cash register, Matt pulled out a box of spare envelopes and I chose an envelope of the right size and of a color I wanted.
By the way, thanks to Hallmark corporate for choosing to include recyclable material in their cards.

Great Hallmark with exceptionally friendly staff. Wide array of cards for all occasions, and really interesting gifts too.
I’m always impressed by the staff’s cheerful and helpful attitude! Even when the place gets busy, service is impeccable.

They’re very up to date with their holidays, in fact I just went in today to pick up a birthday card for a friend and they were changing the front displays for Mother’s Day and some stuff for Father’s Day.
Everyone there is extremely helpful and will help you if you need to find something specific.

The lady who rang me up yesterday asked me when I’m «due.» Lady, I’m NOT PREGNANT! That is etiquette 101… never ask a chunky woman about pregnancy. I was so embarrassed, I don’t even remember how I responded. But ugh. Thanks for pointing out that I’m fat.

This Hallmark store is currently closed. They will be reopening the beginning of November 2012 as a corporate store and will resume taking you Hallmark Gold Crown cards for points.
While they were open, they were absolutely fabulous. They were up to date on all the holidays that were currently being celebrated, they had helpful and knowledgeable store associates and they were and all around clean store. When they open back up, I will definitely be shopping here for all my card and gift wrapping needs.
