Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles

I’ve always used the Alzheimer’s Association as a resource in my work as a Social Worker, but what they stand out for most with me is in the trainings offered. I have participated in both the Dementia Care Specialist tier 1 and tier 2 trainings and they are phenomenal. The information presented has helps enhance my knowledge base about Alzheimer’s disease, how to assess, hoe to make recommendations to a provider, how to help families navigate the disease in the healthcare work and what resources are available in the community.
Jennifer Schlesinger is a wonderful facilitator and fantastic connection. She facilitates trainings and provision of this information Ina inspiring, positive and energetic way.
The resources available through the Alzheimer’s Association are incredibly robust and can be provided in many alternative languages and formats. It’s a fantastic resource for professionals, individuals and families.
