OMG, if you have to kill time at LAX or one of the nearby hotels, make the short trip to this Greek restaurant. Totally authentic. Get the octopus, the fried cheese any kind of gyro and the sour cherry drink. So good!!! I could have eaten two of everything.

This is by far the tastiest Greek food I’ve eaten. It’s a real gem anywhere, but especially near the airport where the food is almost always overpriced. It’s worth a short drive away just for Eliki’s cuisine.

Wow! What a little gem. I would never have expected to find a lovely and authentic Greek restaurant anywhere near LAX. Aliki’s is unassuming and charming. It has the feel of a hidden treasure that only locals know. The food was totally on point, and the owner, Aliki, and her husband, are so loving and gracious. I had a whole grilled fish on both occasions, and it was awesome. Right off the grill with olive oil and lemon. So simple and yet so delicious! The side salad was fresh, lightly dressed, and provided a perfect complement. I also highly recommend the octopus, which is done in a lovely onion and spice sauce. And the hummus! Do not leave without ordering the hummus! It may be a while before I return to LA, but I will definitely make a stop back at Aliki’s when I do.

I was in LA for work and was putting up in a hotel near the airport. I had 2 vegetarian friends with me so I searched Unilocal for some vegetarian places. This place stood out because of the love displayed by fellow Unilocalers. I had a grilled sea bass which was served with rice and veggies and it was really delectable. The fish was grilled perfectly. It was brown on the outside and juicy on the inside. One friend had vegetable Mousaka which had layers of potatoes and eggplant with a really good presentation. Other friend had falafel gyro. Both had their plates spick and span so I don’t need to say anything else. Overall, a great experience. If you are near LAX, try this place out.

A true Mom & Pop restaurant, Should be on «Diners, Drive ins and Dives’ Lamb sandwich was five stars. Outstanding. Best I have had. Pita bread was the best. Greek salad was disappointing three stars. Surprisingly. Service was six stars, Most friendly staff. Ambiance is a one star. Would never return if the food was not so exceptional. The restaruant needs some tender loving care and money put into it. Value was four stars Backava was four stars. Jack H Playa Vista

Quaint location. It is right near the airport and easy to get to. When we arrived, we seated ourselves. The place was clean and smelled good. Two things that make or break a first impression. We all ordered Gyros Sandwiches, and not the plate. I ordered the chicken gyro while my sister and mother ordered the traditional. Our food came after a short wait. Nice presentation and a good taste. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Disappointed is what comes to mind. Who makes Tiropita with puff pastry? The menu states phyllo, even asked about it and the Greek server said it was puff pastry. So sad! The Pasta ala Greco is supposed to have brown butter, that’s what makes it so good. We got buttered spaghetti with melted butter and Parmesan. What about Greek Mizithra cheese and Bucatini Pasta(like spaghetti but hollow) with butter that is actually browned. The Horiatiki Salad was the best part of the meal. We come from a Greek family and cook delicious Greek food, we were so excited to find this and see it had more than 4 stars, and so disappointed when we left. Did not even want to try the baklava. If this is the best L.A. gas to offer… don’t bother.

5 stars for the welcoming owners, delicious food and AMAZING pita bread! Street parking, small place and deceiving exterior. As we were walking in, the people leaving said«amazing food here». They were not lying! All the plates leaving the kitchen looked so yummy, but I had my heart set on a salmon salad. The feta cheese on the Greek salad was We also had the eggplant dip — recommended. My friend ordered the chicken gyro plate and I had some of her rice. It’s insanely good! I told the owner I would write a review, since that’s how I found the place. She was so sweet to chat with us and tell us more about the restaurant. This is a gem that I’m so glad we found! Will definitely be back.

Place looks rundown from the outside. Needs some updating(renovation) and the grass outside needs grooming-trash all over it and needs to be cut and watered-anyways…I digress. I ordered the gyro sandwich with fries, calamari and baklava: –Barely got any fries, they tasted very bland and a little soggy. — The Gyro sandwich was ok but could use a little more«flavor.» –The calamari tasted so weird and dry –Baklava had way to much honey on it, very sticky, not flaky, warm and moist as its suppose to be. Last time I will eat here!

OH. MY. GOD! The food here is AMAZING!!! I was a little put-off by the location and the graffiti all over the outside building, but don’t let it scare you away. We went in on a busy evening. We didn’t have to wait long to be seated, but we had to wait a while to have our order taken and to have our salads come out. My dining partner and I both got a greek salad with gyro meat. I can’t say enough about how amazingly delicious it was. They also have coolers with Greek foods to go. Don’t pass this place up. Delicious!

Drove by many times heading to work at LAX. Finally got an opportunity to stop in. Menu was extensive and impressive. Way beyond the normal offerings of most Greek restaurants in the US. food and service were exceptional! So many choices — will definitely be back soon! Can’t wait to try so many of the items in the menu!

Recommended by the hotel concierge and walking distance from our room. Already expected it to be a «mom & pop», but had no idea the food was going to be so amazing. My wife and I ordered the falafel and gyro plate. The falafel was crispy on the outside and moist inside, paired with the hummus and packing plenty of flavor. The gyro plate included greek salad, rice, pita bread and gyro meat. The pita bread is fresh(judging by flavor and flour on the owners hands), and gyro meat is the best I’ve had. The meat is moist and perfectly seasoned. The Greek salad includes tomatoes, onions and feta. The rice is just amazing… Staff is very friendly and food comes out quick. There are several Greek restaurants surrounding me, but none that can top this.

Farmers Market Scammers. I see this place have a booth at the farmers market in Hollywood every Sunday and I buy feta cheese from him claiming its premium home made feta as he calls it. I buy one little slab for $ 5, that’s lightly seasoned with an herb. I take it home and cut the end and I find an imprint of an «R» which I quickly recognize to be the same R on the VALBRESO cheese that my family has been using for decades. I grew up on this cheese so I recognize the same taste and texture. I did a little Google search to refresh my memory and the pictures prove me right. Same VALBRESO Cheese, same imprint of the name on the cheese and it’s not even Greek it’s French feta. Word of advise to the owner, if you’re gonna scam us into paying quadruple the price for a piece of cheese that you cut up and resold as your own, be smart enough to scrape off the original name that’s engraved on the cheese. Not all of us Americans are foolish to not understand the difference between foreign products. Greek is not the same as French, and factory made is not the same as homemade. Look at the pics and judge for yourself, but I wouldn’t trust this place for food either considering how crooked they were at the marketplace.

This is definitely a hole in the wall restaurant. The inside reminded me of a cross between a diner and grandma’s cozy kitchen. I ordered the gyro sandwich, which came with fries. It came out to be around $ 10+. A little higher than what I’m used to paying for Greek food. Food: The meat itself was tender and well seasoned. The bread was fluffy. I prefer my sandwich to have a lot of the pickled veggies, because I like the sour taste. So when I bit into the sandwich, I didn’t get too much of the veggies– a little disappointed. Portion size could be a little bigger considering the price. Overall, I would recommend giving this place a try!

Great hidden gem by the airport. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but great family run business. The food was great! I would come back if I was in the area again. They have a huge menu & are super nice. The chicken wrap I got was super tasty. Tender chicken and good flavor!

Lovely place to grab some Greek food when you’re waiting to pick someone up from LAX. The place isn’t overly busy so they don’t mind if you sit for awhile after you finish eating. There was a table of 2 ladies who were there before us and still hadn’t left after we had. No dirty looks or obvious hints that they wanted the ladies to leave. We ordered the gyro sandwich and the beef moussaka. Both were tasty and filling. I love how fluffy their pita bread is! Their food is not the cheapest, but for being so close to the airport it is worth the extra $ 1-$ 2 compared to other Greek restaurants in LA. No complaints about service. Parking is in a small lot right next to the restaurant. Have never had a problem getting a spot. Great option near the airport if you don’t want fast food!

If you are looking for a good restaurant near LAX and don’t want to go to a fast food joint, this is a very viable choice. This is a classic mom and pop establishment with friendly staff and home style greek food. I ordered the chicken gyros($ 14.99) which also included a fresh greek salad and seasoned rice, this hits the spot. Some of the comments mentioned that this place is a bit overpriced, I counter by saying that it’s cheaper than the restaurants in LAX and much better quality too, which would you choose?

Don’t judge a book by its cover– Aliki’s is LEGIT. Met one of the family members at the Greek market, and he told me about this place right by my house– I had to check it out. It was my mom’s birthday and she wanted to «try something new», so we took a risk and went here! In a kind of diner-y looking setting on Arbor Vitae, and you park in a motel? Décor is very old-school, and the blue and white tablecloths scream Greek. We finished everything we got– sizzling feta, chicken and beef gyro plates and the pork skewers. Everything was delicious, but if you can’t make up your mind, go with the gyro plate. The OG beef/lamb one. It just has a little bit more kick/flavor than the chicken one. My least favorite was the moussaka, which was good but I just liked everything else better. Thank you to the waiter for being patient with us and giving all the suggestions, as my family had never had Greek food before. He was right on suggesting the sizzling feta– so tasty. It was gone in about 2 min. Food takes a little while, but it’s worth the wait. My one suggestion is simply for them to hire one more waiter– the waiter seemed a little overwhelmed! We needed to ask a couple of times for our waters to be refilled. Don’t forget to take some greek yogurt and pita chips home for snacking!
