Good food fresh great management sweet service and speedy love the food cooks on top of every Order and food is cool to order so it’s hot never cold

I have been coming here for a few years now and after eating at various restaurants I think this place has one of the best tasting food items and it’s a great value. I’m strictly speaking for their DUI which is chili cheese fries, pastrami and carne asada. Unfortunately, they raised the price from $ 7.xx to $ 9.10 including tax but it’s still great. This is one of the few restaurants I revisit.

First and last time coming to this place. First, they didn’t give us the right order. Second, the fried chicken had feathers on it

kids like to eat here. Chicken dinner is great and the breakfast burrito. Everyone is polite

Stopped by to grab a burger after work. One of my favorite stops in East Los.
On the bad side Cashier Alma has bad customer service and Horrible attitude. she also uses a lot of foul language.

Awesome burgers! Fast service, always clean even something small like a side salad was really good, have been living up the street from this place for 6 years now… I have no idea why I don’t come here more often, definitely would recommend this place!

Ok guys this place is pretty good. You get what you would expect out of a little dinner looking place. I have had the burgers and there great, cant say anything about the rest of the food. But they have high traffic witch means the food is freasher than most places. The service is good. Again for burger joint, cant really ask for much. Over if you hungry and you live close come here. If you live far dont travel for this, you can get about the same close to home

This is now my favorite hole in the wall. I have had a burger, (Awesome). Chili, carne asada, pastrami, cheese fries, (Unbelievable), and the works breakfast burrito, (Fantastic). My co workers had the chicken burger sandwich combo for under 5 bucks, she loved it, and another the Fried chicken. he thought that was great. I can’t stop going back. Plus the Customer service is fantastic, the main chef, possibly owner check up to see how you like your food, and is very appreciative of any good things you say, and will immediately try to rectify any issues you have.
Not that we have had any but I have seen him with another customer, who left happy. The last time i went back he remembered me, which is better than I would do myself. Love this place will be returning again and again.

Magical pancakes. The texture & flavor is one of the best I’ve tried. Very simple but delicious.
Their breakfast ham burrito with the green salsa! Fluffy scrambled eggs and hash browns inside really make the burrito amazing.

Been coming here for years. My grandma used to take me after church. Love the pastrami and cheeseburger specials. Its been remodeled and looks different from before. Service is good and place is clean.

Good food but unfortunately I won’t be going back… Been coming here for yearsssss but about a month ago we were eating there and seen some roaches… It made me look inside the kitchen and the floor looked so filthy super dirty like if it’s never been cleaned…

First timer. Good bacon cheeseburger. Meat was tasty, bun was soft, bacon pieces were large and thick, veggies were fresh (shredded lettuce, pickles onion and tomato). Thousand island dressing nice touch. Nice size burger. Fries are typical, nothing special, not over cooked, just fried enough. Soft drink is what it is, but it didn’t taste watered down.
Service was fine. Didn’t get a smile but I also didn’t go there to make friends. I had my meal delivered to my table with a cup of ketchup and a cup of yellow banana Chili peppers, nice touch.
Place is what you expect out of a hole in the wall joint. Great food, just not the cleanest looking place. Don’t get me wrong; it’s clean, probably cleaner than most McD’s, just don’t expect it to be sparkling. Furniture is a mix of modern and old diner. Restroom has the expected graffiti and it’s average upkeep. Plenty of parking.
Cost: average $ 8-​$ 10 for a meal.
Is it worth it? I say yes, I rather pay $ 8 there than at Jack in the box.
Definitely will return!

A real good friend of mines recommended this place to me one time and i have yet to be dissapointed. Small place, parking is also small but the food packs a punch, Chili cheese fries with carne asada and pastrami! I recommend the chicken dinner and the wet burrito plate. Small bathroom, unisex, first come first served, to me the staff has always been courtious to me. Never had a problem with them at all… even when i show up minutes before they close.

Continuing on my East LA burger quest, I decided to eat my frustrations away after a long day at work. I chose Alex Burgers because it’s literally down the street from my house. It seemed pretty slow on a Saturday night. Only one customer ahead of me. The restaurant has seen better days, and is in need of a remodel. I ordered the burger and fries combo for $ 5.50 including taxes.
The burger was good. But it lacked that certain kick that you find in burgers at other joints. Maybe it was because the 1000 island-​esque sauce they put in the burgers was a bit too watered down. The fries were really lacking. They seemed a bit hollow, for the lack of a better term, and really weren’t seasoned much. Plus they were a bit stingy with their portion. Overall a mediocre experience.
