Super hip boutique. It’s located right next to Poketo and it has many different types of gifts and nick nacks. They sell some skincare items, some clothing and shoes, and also some accessories. I think the best part of the store is the Warby Parker section. They have majority of the optical glasses and glasses on the shelf for you to try on. The only bad thing about the optical glasses is that it’s ONLY for single vision prescription. :(but if you do have single vision prescription, you’re really lucky and they offer free shipping once you have your prescription and place an order with them. The frames itself feel of decent quality. It’s not too bad, for the price you definitely can’t beat it.

This is for the Warby Parker part of the store. The optician could not have been more helpful! I received my awesome Warby Parker glasses earlier in the week and they needed to be tightened just a little bit. We decided to make a day of it and go out to downtown Los Angeles for lunch and to visit this downtown branch of WP that is in the back of Alchemy Works. We were in and out pretty fast but there long enough to see that they carry the whole WP line, have people there to assist you and extra cases(they replaced mine that came marked from the company). Alchemy Works looks like it has beautiful things and I’d like to return to look around more.

I can’t really speak for the rest of the store because I went in here to buy sunglasses in the back, but I had a good experience here. I usually don’t walk into hipster lifestyle stores cause that’s not really my thing but the service here for sunglasses was really good. I wanted a pair of Warby Parker aviator style glasses to replace my Ray Bans that I broke. I looked up shops that carried them in store and I ended up here. The guy that rang me up for the glasses answered all my questions about the product. Pricing is reasonable for polarized uv blocking plastic lens glasses. $ 158 bucks out the door. They were cheaper than my ray bans and look just as nice. Frame looks well built. Nice touch putting a coffee shop at the front entrance, they got me with that one. I ended up buying iced coffee on the way out. Cause I’m weak like that. Solid 4 stars.

love this shop! this is seriously the best place to treat yourself or a friend! my fiancé and i came in with a coffee from blacktop next door, just browsing and we actually found our wedding rings here! they were so reasonable in price and were both made by local L.A. artists which I love! there are tons of brands i’ve never heard of, as well as a few familiar names. don’t be surprised to find some very reasonable items amongst the pricier items. everything here is well made and of very high quality. if you want to pick up something that will last, come here! plus everyone is so sweet. you can browse without feeling pressured and they’re there to help you if you need more info. i love coming here.

Alchemy Works is oh so chic. I like to call these types of boutiques life style boutiques since they not only carry clothing and accessories but home goods. The space is beautifully decorated and is full of light and inspiration. You can tell each item was hand picked with much thought and care. The staff is always friendly and greets each person who walks in. I love wandering around this boutique(with a chai latte in hand from Blacktop Coffee next door) staring at the huge, shelved wall of goodies. This is the perfect place to buy a gift for a friend or treat yourself to something whimsical. They have a section of Warby Parker frames in the back so make sure to check those out! — Parking: Located at the east end of 3rd Street, there is free street parking. typically more spots down 3rd street before you hit Santa Fe. The area does get busy on the weekends, but there are a couple of pay lots around.

This small shop is located right next to Blacktop coffee… as a matter of fact, there’s a small opening between both stores so you can grab your coffee and walk right into Alchemy Works. Although I didn’t look around the actual store too much, I did make my way directly to the far back of the place… to the glasses area. That’s right… glasses and sunglasses by Warby Parker are sold all the way in the back. You pick the frames you like, give them your prescription, and they’ll create the set for you and mail it to you in about 7 – 10 business days. Prices for both glasses and sunglasses will run from about $ 100 to $ 200. The store itself had a giant sail right in the middle of the store with other items sounding it. There are books, ceramics, clothing, stationary, and other nice quality curated items. I am afraid to touch so many things here, especially while holding my coffee in one hand, for if I break it… I might not be able to afford buying it. Regardless of it all, this is a very cute store and worth a browse!

Open spaces, gallery-esque, adventurers’ club of world findings and sinfull pleasures. It’s got that dynamic theme to it. When you have a 1959 Fiat Abarth Spyder sitting in the middle of the space in one month and a vintage sailboat the next month. You might raise an eyebrow or two or three. This place sells art pieces, from classic Americana(Shinola + Pendleton) to one of a kind bespoke leather items. I bought my wife a Daniel Wellington time piece and a Warby Parker signature frame for little Freddy. I’d like to come back one day and take home a beautiful Will Adler print. Hopefully sooner than later.

As much as I hate the word«curated,» I can’t talk about this store without mentioning how extremely well curated their products are. Most of their products are made in California, with prices varying from«oh, that’s it?» to «oh… let’s put that back down.» What really makes this store special is that it doesn’t feel like a store. It feels more like a living room than anything else. Grabbing an issue of Kinfolk off the shelf and reading it on the couch with a cup of Blacktop coffee isn’t just acceptable, it’s encouraged. The owners want this to be a place where people feel comfortable coming in just to hang out, even if you don’t buy anything. On top of all that, Krista is always helpful and genuinely interested in interacting with her customers.

Awesome customer service from the new yorker! Very friendly. A lot of space to shop and look around. Expensive– but it’s quality that you are looking for. It’s next to a coffee shop that offers sight glass coffee– my favorite coffee served.

BEST Warby Parker showroom in town. They have all the frames and the friendly, knowledgable optician was very helpful. I’ve ordered from WB before online(the first few months they were in business) and that was fine, but this time I had an afternoon free and drove down. It was great… I ended up saving time and buying glasses I liked better than the original pair I planned to get.

Really good selection of products. A good place to shop for a unique and special gift. The prices are a little expensive for what is provided but it’s price for the rareness and selection of the items. Definitely worth a look either to buy or even inspiration. I noticed they opened a cute little coffee bar next to it, have yet to try.

I love places like this, though I will no doubt ever be able to afford anything, they don’t mind me browsing and chatting with them. Updates: The fiat was sold. Now there is a table with goods on it in its place. There is a Warby Parker showroom in the back. It’s super cute and architectural. It has every pair of Warby Parker’s so you don’t have to go to horrid Hollywood and fight the hoards of ignorant people in that tiny store in the Standard only to be able to try on a fraction of the company’s frames… now you can just come here! Speaking of which, I need to get my frames fitted… Blacktop coffee is open next door and Guerrilla Tacos is out front most days of the week. This is the place to be.

In love with this store. Perhaps a bit pricey for the average working stiff, but that didn’t stop me from buying a Vivian Chan dress last week. The workers are also really friendly which you don’t expect in a designer oriented store. It also has a Warby Parker pop-up now which is another brand I adore. Everything, even the vintage car, is on sale. Also I love the fact it’s right next door to Blacktop Coffee.

A beautiful curated store in the heart of dtla’s arts district. The jewelry clothing leather goods magazines and even home goods are all stylish unique and well made. I will definitely be checking in to see what’s new the next time in downtown.

Incredibly stylish. Want a long board? They have two for sale. Need a weekender? Got em. Owned by the same folks that own Apolis Global citizen down the street. There is a fiat car parked in the center of the boutique. You know it’s good when they carry Kinfolk and Darling magazine. There are shoes, jewelry, and sweaters. Lots to deck you out stylishly for an LA weekend.
