This morning when Sarah & I woke up she said she needed a little space. When I asked her what I should do she said«I don’t know! Go for a walk or something!» & that’s exactly what I did! I ended up @ this 7 – 11 and was pleased to find that they were offering $.50 coffee through Jan 24th. What a steal! I felt like a New Yorker reading the newspaper(I like USA Today — color pictures), sipping coffee & thinking about who I might vote for or whatever. So NY! In terms of service, this 7 – 11 gets FIVE stars. But the overall experience @ a 7 – 11 is ONE star. 7 – 11 in comparison to Whole Foods(or even Ralph’s) isn’t glamorous, so that’s how I came up w my ranking. So to get it straight, this 7 – 11 is a FIVE star 7 – 11 compared to OTHER7 – 11’s but a ONE star experience compared to EVERYTHING else on earth. I’m definitely getting coffee here every day through the 24th. I’m even considering doubling back today to grab a second cup of joe. Life’s for the living. I’d grab Sarah one but she’s moody this morning Pins & needles, gang. Pins & needles. No public restrooms. Pricey(except the coffee) Recommended(in comparison to other 7 – 11’s)

Been coming to this 711 for a few years now. I never had any problems with anyone who works there. They are always so nice and sweet to me. Every time we walk in they always great us. And when we go to pay for our things they always ask how we are doing. I don’t understand how they got a low rating. The manager is a very sweet and kind person too. I understand about the people in front sometimes being a small problem, but if you go to other stores in the area it’s the same propblem. It’s not 711 fault who walks in front of the store.

I USED to come here while en route to my home after bike rides to Griffith Park/Runyon/Hollywood Lakes. I am usually parched after a 14 mi. bike ride and this 7-Eleven is close to my house. This is usually a routine stop for me. I go in, grab some auga and Arizona’s, and roll out. Except two weeks ago, on a Sunday(my one and only day off) I walk in the store, completely exasperated grab my usual refreshment. On this particular day I forgot my wallet at home and had one loose dollar on me so I grabbed a 99 cent Arizona. My total(with tax) came to $ 1.04 — I was short four cents. I looked at him very sympathetically and said«I don’t have four cents». Do you think the attendant thought twice about wanting his total?! No. He replied, «$ 1.04! You need four cents». I looked down at the«leave-a-penny-take-a-penny» container… it was empty. Damn. I saw someone in the store and called out to him, «Hey man! You think I can have a nickel?» The attendant immediately turned and shouted at me, «Don’t ask my customers for money!» With a very confused looked I turned to him and asked, «Am I not a customer?! Am I not allowed to ask my fellow neighbor for some change?» He told me «No» and that if I continue to «bother» his customers he would call the police. He proceeded to pick up the phone(thinking this action would intimidate me and prevent me from continuing to ask my fellow neighbor for change, it did not.) Mind you, it’s very early on a Sunday morning. Maybe like 9am, a very calm morning. And because I was short four cents this attendant accused me of: A. Not being a customer(since I could not round up four cents) B. Disturbing his customers by asking for change C. Which he interpreted as pan-handling(this mother f*cker, at 9am in the morning… because I was short four cents accused me of PAN-HANDLING!!!) This is where my calm Sunday demeanor was lost. I began to explain to him although Pan-handling does imply that one begs for money, I on the other hand WASNOT begging. I ASKED my fellow neighbor(who by the way was more than willing to help me out) for some change. I in no way was seeking charity, I politely asked the gentlemen for a nickel. This attendant was ready to call Five-O on me FOR A NICKEL!!! ON A SUNDAYMORNING!!!(Somebody in the church say Amen!) I can tell he felt very undermined by the fact I didn’t do anything wrong and that people were willing to help me out along with the few other customers in the store who seemed to all have a look in their face like, ‘Why is this guy trippin’ so hard over four cents’ After the very helpful gentlemen supplied me with the change and I handed it to the attendant, he was still barking at me and making irrational threats. I simply turned to him, before walking out with my paid for Arizona Green Tea, looked him in the eye and said, «Have a great day». I will never support this particular 7-Eleven ever, EVER again. Can’t believe dude was ready to call the boys on me over four. cents.

This place is awesome! There’s a teen club which doubles as a gay club down the street so there’s always a collection of drunk 15 year olds, gay people, homeless people, tranny hookers, regular hookers and bicycle pimps. It’s not safe at all but it’s awesomely epic!!!

This was a sketchy location. There was a security officer on a bike tending to the front. I just wanted by diet coke fix, but I’ll try not to go here from now on.
