This was my first time to this club on Saturday. As mentioned by other reviewers it is located in an industrial Neighborhood of downtown Los Angeles. Not that, that is a bad thing. You get very little traffic getting there and it not very far from other downtown hotspots. Pro: Convenient parking($ 5 next door) $ 10 cove before 11 for guys. Short line. Cons: I was not crazy about the décor, it would be well suited for a strip club and not a night club. Weak drinks and bartender charged me additional $ 3 on my drink without my authorization, inspite of me tipping him $ 2 cash. I ended up paying $ 15 for a watered down drink. Very odd shaped small dance floor with crappy music. Croud was nothing to write home about. Overall, this would be my first and last time here. I think downtown has many other much better dance clubs.

we celebrated a friends sister’s Birthday here… and we had a freaking blast. Here’s the thing… it’s secluded, and it breaks the rules of last call. Food’s served past 9 and the space and layout keep the club form needing a shit ton of private tables. The birthday girl and my fiancé danced on the stage for easily an hour and nobody kicked them off. This place is a nice spot in hidden downtown… visit here only if you want to experience LA without being around LA

I came here with a group of friends recently for a friend’s birthday party. His girlfriend had arranged for bottle service and told the manager we were all dressing up as superheroes for the night. The manager actually liked the idea so much he decided to make it a theme for the night. It was fun and took the ease off us since going out dressed like Robin and Superman in public is pretty obnoxious. Overall, the club is nice despite its location on the outskirts of Downtown LA. The bottle service prices are actually pretty decent. The dancefloor is adequate but my one complaint would be there is no air conditioning or air coming through. It was abnormally hot in the club. There is another smaller room where they play different music. They also have an outdoor smoking patio which is always a plus for smokers. They also serve some amazing food. I got to sample the deep fried macaroni and cheese and delicious garlic fries. Not necessarily the best food to eat while at the club but it was yummy nonetheless!

The actual building structure, sound system and inside décor… 5 stars. Everything else, price on drinks, the patrons… the staff… 1 star. All I have to say is… too many latins. I like a mixture of people. I didn’t have fun. There was like 800 dudes and like 200 females. And don’t get me wrong 200 females is awesome. but awesomer if you were the only dude. I didn’t have fun.

I came in from out of town and Unilocal’d some spots in LA. This had fairly good reviews so my boo and I decided to come here. We had to pay $ 10 to get in. FYI, this is an old strip joint. This particular Friday night was lesbian night. I did not mind lesbian night at all but it sure wasn’t what I was expecting. How come no one mentioned the possibility that it may be lesbian night??! In addition, it was like a private party. There was no mention of that on the flier I saw either. Luckily, the dj played decent hip hop and r&b. I just have to mention that it was a lesbian joint, for you non-lesbinans.

I went on a Friday night with a friend to check out this spot for the first time. I love the venue… it’s a pretty big size club with lots of private rooms and two bars. The music was hip-hop and R&B all night! They served free appetizers before 11pm… yummers! Drinks were expensive… I think I paid $ 11 for a Crown and Coke. Other than that, I am excited to go back… somebody…have a party here!

Came on a chilly January Saturday evening. Walked in with a party bus and didn’t have to pay. I was the DD so I didn’t drink much alcohol except for a half glass of sour champagne from my friend’s bottle service and a really tasty Shirley Temple. The music was good, I danced and had a pretty good time. There were two rooms, one playing hip hop/pop and the other more Latin type of music. Each room had a bar. The one thing I didn’t experience was the restroom, which I’m bummed out about because a restroom really tells you a lot about an establishment but I just didn’t have to pee when I was there. I’m not sure what the cover is for this place but I wouldn’t pay to go in(as a female anyway), but I’d expect guys to pay about $ 10. It was a cool spot and I like that Industrial Los Angeles is up and coming and not having to deal with pretentious a-holes from Hollywood is always a Plus! A must visit for a local since it’s easily accessible by street and/or freeway.

Surprised I had not come here sooner. I had been seeing the promotion for this place for quite some time #SSLA. It took a Unilocalers bday to bring me out here and I am glad I came! Looking up the directions to this place I noticed this place was a little far south on the map from the clubs I usually go to. When we got off on Alameda, it felt we were in the middle of nowhere. Upon turning on 15th street we notice a prostitute on the corner hahaha but sure enough the club was up ahead. Noticed a parking lot but opted for the street parking as it was across the street and still fairly close. Line was short, it was about 10:30 when we arrived. Past 11 place starting getting more crowded and was poppin. Drinks were cheap, they also have many different specials in terms of bottle service. 1 Liter Ciroc and champagne $ 199 + free appetizers before 10:30. If i recall correctly some of the appetizers were: chicken wings, fries, meatballs. Now I am not sure if this is all the time but on this night the girl to guy ratio was like 7:1!(Just for that I am going to add another star!) I will definitely come back here to pop some bottles. For any other questions hit up @amarier on twitter! That’s another plus, the sexy Anna Marie greets you at the door!

I had bottle service here on a saturday for my birthday and it was fairly decent. We hit a few snags in the beginning and luckily the personnel weren’t rude about anything at all.(Miscommunications on number of bottles, etc.) I was expecting one of those small bottles that clubs usually get you and jip which cost like $ 20 and are done within 30 min or so, but they brought me the large size(not Costco-sized, but a size below that) and lasted awhile. The only gripe I had was my server, who would periodically leave for like 20 min and show up and asked if we needed anything. She was nice and all, but there was just a lack of interaction on her part. Part of doing bottle service is having someone else pour your drinks and re-filling the ice in yo DRANK! Not myself and those in my party. The dance floor was always full and the DJ wasn’t so great(there’s only so many times I can here a Top 40 hit in the span of an hour) Sure the location is weird, but its isolated and its better than coming out of a bar/lounge in Downtown LA or Hollywood with a million people walking/driving everywhere. Plus it’s literally like right off the 10 freeway. There’s 2 dancefloors here: The major one is where you wanna stick to if you’re not tired of stupid Rihanna songs. The second one seemed to be more latin-style music. The smoking patio/area had me laughing. It literally looks like a prison yard. I was expecting to see someone shooting dice and a crew pumping iron and bandanas being rocked a la Tupac.

Came to this place with absolutely no expectations and good thing I did. The place was in the middle of nowhere on the outskirts of Los Angeles. We came on a party bus and the place was chosen because it plays Latin music as well as regular club bangers. There are both good and bad things going for the place, and let me list them for you. PROS: — Approachable and talkative bar staff. They’ll converse with you easily, and usually attend to you quickly if you’re up at the bar. — A photo booth machine without the booth. It’s free photos and pretty good quality. — Two rooms of music CONS: — A maze of a dance floor. The place has a very small dance floor for a club, with tables and booths in the middle of nowhere. Too many barriers, not enough open space. — It was pretty empty for a Saturday night. I only saw the dance floor half full most of the night. — Lots of fights. I saw at least 2 fights when I went, and the guys involved stayed in until they got in another fight. Lot of drama. — Not much eye candy, although lots of guys lurking. This club could be a good place if you have a large group of friends to hang out with. If you aren’t into the more stylish, jam packed clubs, this club would be better for you. But if you’re out there looking for a club like what you see on TV, this ain’t one of them… unless you’re looking for a fight. Hahaha.

I Flippin LOVE this Place!!! Coming from a dive bar, sports bar type of chick you can see why I don’t really like to go clubbing. But I loved this venue! It was a very nice upscale atmosphere with a really good sized dance floor, lot’s of open space, lot’s of booths/vip tables the music by Dj Lezlie was amazing. Towards the end of the night when I was trying to go to the bar to drink some water I couldn’t go since I couldn’t stop dancing(awkward right) Like I mentioned before I like to sit at bars and watch football and maybe get up once in a while to play some music on on a jukebox… well guess what this is my new spot! Not sure if it’s my mid-life crisis or what but I’m back to my «clubbing days» yeahhhhh budddy watch out! haha Seriously I haven’t had that much fun at a club in a long while. Ok so the location is on 15th street you’ll see a few bums/homeless on the way there, but who gives a shit get over yourself and go have some drinks and losen up a bit and dance your ass off. It’s called city of Los Angeles last time I checked so if you’re going to knock a venue over location then guess what? Maybe your not meant for the«city» and can go back to your little happy suburbia! Lol Not trying to be a bitch but after reading some low reviews and people talking about the barb wires and bums just makes me laugh especially when I saw you roll up in your old beat up car yourself with your Ross Sale sticker at the bottom of your shoe! haha Friendly staff, great stiff drinks average $ 10 – 13 pretty standard for a club in LA. So if you’re looking into some Fist Pumpin’ come pump it here! yeeeah budddy!

I came here for a birthday. It was Saturday. The location is odd because I was in an industrial area with warehouses. A little spooky. We were on a list. Why were we on line then? We asked one of the people in the front and they told us to wait. Red flag #1. We get in and let me tell you its pretty inside. I’m not going to talk shit about that. I liked it. I feel I went deaf though from all the loudness of the music. I’m not prune. I know music is supposed to be loud. I physically had to yell to be heard. After a while, I just stopped talking and just did hand gestures and head nods. It was super dark in there too. I couldn’t see. Kind of a catch 22 if you ask me. The restrooms were awful and filthy. I mean purely disgusting. I walked in because I had to pee and just decided to hold it. It was a combination of smells and there was no ventilation. No one was in there keeping things nice. Maybe she quit and I don’t blame her. One girl was walking in there with a chicken wing in her mouth. Fucking gross. Red flag #2. Then where we were it wasn’t even like a table service type place. It was one couch length-wise so only 4 could sit comfortably. People would be directly in front of you so it was difficult to stand or dance. We were dancing and then the dj’s power unit goes off. For like 3 minutes. Then some mc man starts yelling happy birthdays on a microphone. Over and over again. It’s like shut the fuck up and fix the music. The music comes back on so he starts the same song again and the same thing happens. The music goes down. Birthdays come up again. Fuck no. Red flag #3. I left 3 minutes later. I don’t recommend this place.

The 2 stars may seem a bit harsh considering there was nothing really wrong with this place. The thing is, there was nothing really good about it either. Let me start off with the positives: 1)The staff was very friendly. From the guys at the door to the bartenders, there were no attitudes or power trips. 2)The crowd was also friendly. Even though the bottle service seating was conducive to some shit going down(there were no definitive dividers in some spots, meaning people from the party seated next to you could technically overstep their bounds and cause an «Excuse me, you’re in my way» situation), everyone seemed to respect each other’s «territory.» Same thing with the dance floor. It could get a tad crowded(especially if this place becomes more popular), but no one was tripping over each other or growing any alcohol-induced cojones. The reasons for the 2 stars: 1)The music. Don’t get me wrong, the DJ didn’t suck per se, but I really miss DJs who have an identity of their own and don’t play the same Top 40 crap everyone else plays. You’d be surprised at how much better people will respond to some old-school throwbacks(whether it be hip hop, house, or even polka music). 2)The drink prices. 12 dollars for a Jaeger bomb and most mixed drinks started at 10 and went up from there, I believe. While these prices are not outrageously high, I also don’t believe they’re justified for a place that hasn’t earned a name yet. This isn’t Hollywood and I’m not(insert current popular actor/actress, soon to be DUI’er, here). 3)The lighting. You may think this is a stupid complaint, but I could barely see the face of the person I was speaking to at any particular moment. The lighting they did have was the kind that makes it look like you didn’t wash your clothes and should brush your teeth a little longer. Would I try this place again? Yes. This place has potential… to go either way. But, like the 2-star rating states, «Meh. I’ve experienced better.»

The sign outside looked like a Public Storage sign. I had to check twice to actually see that we were at the right place. It did look a bit sketchy, but it is DTLA. Cover was $ 10 for guys and girls. We sat in the booths and ordered a round of drinks and some fried food. Service was great. Our waitress was very courteous and attentive. Of course, this review is for my overall experience so… It was quite empty last Friday, but we didn’t mind because we just wanted to see the burlesque show. 11 pm came around and still nothing. 12 am came around and still nothing. At this point I think they were getting ready in the back. Disappointed though, we just ended up leaving. The music was mostly 80s and really blown out through the B A D cheap speakers. Such a pity. I am sad we missed the show, but we didn’t want to stay any longer. Not sure that I would want to come back…

Saturday Night –Girls got in for free, guys had to pay $ 5 –Mixed crowd. hispanics, blacks, asians, tiny sprinkles of caucasion here and there –Drinks were bought for the girls, so cant tell you how $$ it is –Smoking area was decent size. Had heat lamps and little seats –Dj was playing all the popular hip hop songs –Location seems sketchy and smack dab in the middle of a creepy alley, but once you step inside its pretty nice! –Come early and you can park for free on the street –I smelled food and there were a bunch of chefs in the smoking patio so Im assuming they serve food here?

I went here for grindhouse on Friday night. We got there super early. We were third In Line. They didnt let anyone in till about 10:50. That was kind of stupid because guys are free before 10:30. I didn’t like that part of it but really cover was only $ 5 so can’t complain there. The music was AWESOME! The Dj played a perfect mix of house, top 40, old-school hits, and mashups. The venue is small, pretty packed, but nicely decorated and furnished. There was a stage for the burlesque shows. Two girls were pretty the others were alright… when we started dancing again they let us dance up on the sage so it was pretty awesome. I definitely Would go again. The biggest downer though was that the drinks are almost Vegas expensive. Vodka redbull was about $ 14.

Came here for Part II of Antonnette F’s bday. Ladies got in for free while the dudes had to pay $ 5(this was before 11pm). I believe after 11pm it’s $ 20 which is just stupid for a place like this. Usual club scene, dark lighting, noticed a lot of purple, over priced drinks… Music sucked!!! Also, there was a lame ass performance which had everyone standing around wondering WTF was going on. Parking was $ 5. Probably won’t be back here.

So let me help out my fellow Unilocalers. Wednesday NIghts — Comedy Night Thursday Nights — Rock Bands Friday Nights — Grindhouse(Burlesque) Saturday Nights — Varies from week to week I was there on Friday night for Grindhouse Friday night is really fun with burlesque and dance music. There are two burlesque tease acts at 11pm and then at midnight. The music is a mixture of 80’s, indie, electro, top 40& house. Good mix of downtown locals and party goers. Drinks were priced right and strong. Allot of seating areas Ample parking & $ 5 valet, but i recommend the valet. Definitely a cool spot for friday nights. I’ll be coming back! This is where I got my info on the burlesque show and venue at I hope this helps!

NOT your Hollywood Club Are you sick of all the girls wearing the same cocktail dress, flat ironed hair, slightly bouncing to the music, getting no attention from the bartender, and major DB everywhere? I was reluctant to go to 1616 club because of the location but was really glad I did. On Saturday night they have live music, great hip hop with a nice dance floor and a fantastic crowd. The DJ that played before and after the musicians was one of the better ones I have heard in LA. What made this place was the crowd. The people here really dance. No, slight bobbing, stand in your place just sway the hips. The floor had people really moving, enjoying themselves. People came here to dance, listen to music and have fun, not to be seen.

Despite its janky DT location, this spot definitely has a lot going for it. See reasons below: Número uno: Ample parking. That’s free — just be sure to carry a stabbing device with you. Or you can be less of a risk taker and use their valet if you’re too scared to park on the street. Numero two-o: Pretty sweet digs. Once you step inside you are transported to a far away club land that doesn’t remotely feel like you re below the 10 freeway. The colors are pretty and the chandeliers are sexy. Numbero three-o: Even though it’s a club, I am assuming they probably aren’t strict at the door(though this is not confirmed as I was there for a special event), seeing as you traversed dangerous roads to get there, though it is still a club, so don’t dress like you’re going to a Dodgers game Numero four-o: They have food and there are booths to eat this food in. Numero five-o: It’s hidden, and hidden spots are often diamonds in the rough(real rough).
