Helen Mahoney, MD

I got lucky and chose Dr. Mahoney at random from a list of providers. I’ve been seeing her for 7 years now, and you couldn’t pay me all the money in the world to see anyone else. She is kind and caring. She takes her time with you during and after the exam; never feel rushed because I know she genuinely cares about her patients. She has limited days and hours because she also works at the V.A. in Long Beach. I actually decided to make my next yearly appointment a year ahead of time because her hours are even more limited than when I first started seeing her. I would recommend her to anyone.

I love Dr. Mahoney! She is kind, gentle and really down to earth! Going to the Gyno is never something that us women look forward to and she gets that! She is very concerned with our natural aversion and does everything within her control, to make it comfortable and fast!

I’ve been seeing Helen Mahoney, MD for my annual female exam for several years and she is awesome. Her business card lists her as Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She NEVER rushes and takes as much time as she needs to answer my questions. She is very patient and seems genuinely interested in making sure I am comfortable. Her staff members are friendly, thorough, and sweet.
Her office is located inside Healing Arts Medical Center which is made up of a few private practice doctors that share office space and facilities. It seems as though they each have their own staff, files, and examination rooms. The waiting room always has music playing and I think that helps with confidentiality. It is a relatively small office, but it is cozy and pleasant.
