This was a good restaurant with great Chimichangas. Sadly, it is gone now. It has closed and been replaced by a Phở restaurant.

Very authentic Mexican restaurant, definitely not a Tex Mex but it’s great food at a great price we had lunch there I had the chicken enchilada and my wife had the chicken chimichanga. I enjoyed the enchilada but she didn’t quite like the chimichanga cuz it was missing some texMex essence, such as no sour cream. The salsa is disappointing, it tastes like tomato soup.

This place is a hole in the wall. Their carne asada is absolute delicious however they do occasionally Jack it up and instead serve a plate of utter crap but for the most part it’s great about nine times out of ten. My only real issue is their awesome sound system… it’s so awesome you can’t hear the voices of someone closer than arms length. You can’t hear your thoughts either. The place looks scary as hell… But the carne asada is worth it. The splitting headache from early nineties music being blasted at your face is also Worth it. The creepy bald guy that stares at you the whole time making you uneasy and never speaks to you is the manager or owner I think because he’s always here and never eats… or drinks… or sleeps… he just watches… All that aside great place. ***update They switched to Spanish karaōke. The silent bald guy sang to us through his ear splitting sound system of misery. I found out Thursday through Monday after eight they do this karaōke/torture thing. I will never ever return during these times. I’d rather have cigarettes put out on sensitive parts of my body while listening to pigs at slaughter. It would be much more peaceful that way.

Went here with my wife and kid on a weekday night(around 6pm) The place was empty except for the two waitresses. The food was great. But the place was so dirty, shabby, and run-down, that I kind of question where it came from. I mean, if this is the face that they are willing to show to the customer, what would they want to keep behind closed doors? The waitress did not speak English. zero, zip, nada. This is not necessarily a problem, and might actually be an indicator of some good, authentic food. But I could see this bothering some people. The menu says they have horchata, but they don’t.

Just had Las Colinas after a year. Absolutely the best Mexican/Spanish food in all Springfield. Had the carne asada burrito and pupusas. Perfection.

Forget about the dirty carpet, the raggedy bar stools, the waitresses who sit at tables with customers. Forget all of that crap! Because the only thing that matters is the food. Let’s be clear here: I may not be Mexican(or have any origins that stem from a Spanish speaking country), my three years of Spanish has surely failed me, and I doubt that I can navigate myself through Downtown LA let alone Mexico if I vacationed there(which I have, and trust me, these facts hold true), but what I can tell you about is Mexican food. Because I am a CALIFORNIAN.(1) I spoke Spanlish with a waitress. I asked about her origins(this undid in complete and perfect Spanish, which even surprised me!); she was from El Salvador. This was an indication that the food should half way be authentic.(2) I inspected the menu. It was old and plastic covered, which is okay with me, because the taco joints I used to frequent didn’t even have menus(I just want to be clear here). The menu looked legit.(3) I inspected the food. Here is where the problem arises. There was no salsa. I’m not talking about pico de gallo. Number 3 was the most critical of my inspections, clearly. When I finally got home, I opened up my boxes to find my Papusas(the cabbage was bagged thank Heaven!) just a little too big and too fried. Good overall, but not what I’m used to, but as I understand it, people on the east coast like their tacos and Papusas extra large and crunchy. There was no distinct flavor in them. I could tell which one had beans and which one had pork. Which brings me to my next point, the tacos. As I said a few sentences ago, apparently east coasters like crunchy, large, hard shelled tacos stuffed with ground beef. Yeah no. These tacos were just short of that nonsense. The tortillas were large and in charge. The carne asada was tender, but it barely had any seasoning(again, I’m from California where they have carne asada roasting on counter tops and tacos are package in aluminum foil). They also put refried beans and Spanish rice on the plate. I wasn’t impressed. Real tacos don’t need a bunch of extra stuff. Will I be back? Probably not. A bad taco is unforgivable…

We love this place! The food is extremely reasonable and very delicious. The portions are large. My daughter usually gets the chimichanga burrito, which is full of meat and covered with a tasty red sauce and cheese. The carne asada plate comes with rice, beans, salad, tortillas and a large portion of carne asada. The only improvement I can suggest is more salsa choices and an authentic guacamole would be much appreciated. Also, don’t forget dessert — the flan is great!

The taco salad was actually delicious, but OMG… this place looks sooooo filthy!!! The hallway floor that leads to the bathroom was SO sticky and greasy, like it hadn’t been mopped in years. I literally had to tiptoe so I didn’t slip and fall. Oh and – there was no soap left! I hated myself for even entering this place, but it was too late I already placed my order and I was starving. Surprisingly the taco salad had tender cuts of beef and it was SO delicious, my husband agreed. Unfortunately I won’t be returning because this place is just too dirty. The tables were dirty, the chairs, there was spilled liquid on the floor that my husband slipped on, luckily he didn’t fall. I know it’s a «hole in the wall» type of place. I’m not expecting some fancy restaurant, but dude, clean up the place! Wipe off the tables after people have eaten on them, dry the floors when drinks have been spilled. This place could be a real gem. The guy who took my order was just sitting there doing nothing, umm… get your butt up and clean something! What a shame, they have such a big, open space, a great location and good food. They really need to clean this place up. While eating I kept thinking… if the FRONT of the restaurant is this dirty, I wonder how dirty the back is! Ughhh!

No bueno. I am sorry but this is not good Latino food. I was very disappointed in the pollo la brasa and the steak. Too salty and just not good.

My going-out-girl and I were in Lorton for an event nearby, and had originally planned on going to another restaurant that I found on Unilocal. We got there, and it was closed! We figured that we’d drive from that place to our final destination, and see what else was around. We just happened upon this place, and figured that we’d give it a shot. We both walked out full, and happy. Our only complaint was that they brought out the appetizer and mains at the same time, but at least everything tasted good. My wife had a grilled chicken dish, and I had a ‘sort-of’ combination plate, that had chicken, chorizo, beef, and fish(more than a little of each). Two dishes, pupusa appetizer, and two draft Modelos each, all for $ 42 before tip. Yeah, the place isn’t fancy and looks a little worn, but it’s novel, walking in the door and feeling like you’re in another country(with Telemundo on the TV). If we happen to be in area again, we’ll stop back in.

I am a frequent customer, food is delicious by far the best Salvadorian/Mexican food in the area ! Customer service is exceptional, the waitresses are always attentive… Great place to eat, have a drink and maybe play a round of pool… Menu has a lot of great options even for the kids !! .Highly recommend it !!!

How this place is still open baffles me. The place is not good. The interior is old and somewhat dirty looking. Nearly all the benches are ripped and the tables look like they were bought at some kind of used restaurant supply store. I don’t generally expect much from hole-in-the-wall Mexican places but the food here wasn’t very good.

This was great food. I was expecting something worse for as cheap as it was, but this was excellent. The salsa tasted like the red sauce that you get from enchiladas. I think this place is worth every penny, and there is a very nice woman who works here. The chimichanga was excellent and was full of chicken.

If youre in the mood for Mexican or salvadoran food this is a promising place. Its pretty laid back & casual during the day, but at night it turns into a karaōke bar of sorts. This place has an extensive salvadoran menu which is not easy to find. Their Pupusas are tasty & authentic and always served with curtido at no charge, this place even has my favorite Lorco y queso pupusas. Their horchata is served cold and flavorful. Good price, good food and they serve some good beer selections too. It’s good if youre in a time crunch or if youre in a budget too. Its worth giving it a try
