Worst take out experience in quite a while. Took over an hour and a half to arrive, food wasn’t very good, and refused to offer a discount. Will never order from here again. 0 stars would be my preference.

They always come through in the clutch with the food! Best Chinese take out I have had in a while especially with the fact that they deliver on base! Can’t beat that! #kudos

I’m sorry… I don’t mean to me cruel… but, the food was inedible. I ordered the ginger beef noodles and the cold sesame noodles. The noodles, on both dishes, were way overcooked, making them mush. The ginger beef did not have a hint of ginger… in fact, it was flavorless. I put 2 packets of soy sauce on it, and it still had no flavor. I am giving them 2 stars, because th e staff is very nice.

This place used to be great. I have been ordering from here for years but they have steadily declined in quality as time went on. Tonight I ordered delivery from here. I was told it would take 30 – 45 minutes. Okay thats fine. An hour and fifteen minutes pass and there is still no sign of the delivery guy. I call back and they say he is about to be on his way. I wanted to cancel the order and I should have. The food finally arrives and THEREIS A HAIRINTHEFRIEDRICE!!! DISGUSTING! The order was wrong too. I ordered sweet and sour SHRIMP and they sent sweet and sour CHICKEN. The girl who took my order on the phone could not have been older than 10 or 12 years old. I will not ever order from this place ever again. For all of you that are reading this, you have been warned about what you will get if you order from here. Don’t do it.

Great Pad Thai and dumplings. Good prices. Delivery speed is average, and you have to have a lot do of patience when placing an order over the phone.

Hands down the BEST Chinese food I have ever had! I decided to try this a place today and couldn’t believe how good it was. I had the orange chicken and sesame chicken. The chicken was great quality and the sauce was beyond tasty! I’m so happy I found this gem! I just wish I would have tried it sooner.

Delicious! The Gen Tso Chicken was tender and in a great sauce. The Lo Mein combo(small portion) was huge and well seasoned. We’re going to be regulars here. We ate there, which was ok for a 2pm weekday late lunch, but clearly this place is a carry out gem for high volume periods.

This place is sooo inconsistent! One day the food is incredible, the next it’s literally the worst Chinese food ever! We’ve had cold food, burnt soups and incorrect orders so many times that it’s unreal. We keep trying new places in the area and finding that they are as bad or worse… The bottom line is, don’t get too comfortable with this place, when you do they will disappoint. Lorton seems to be a terrible place to order Chinese food…

After hearing about this place, I decided to give it a try. I ordered beef and broccoli and colleague ordered hunan beef. The dishes didn’t have that kick to it. The dishes were practically identical. The hunan beef didn’t have a variety of vegetables I’m used to. The food here is plain and typical. I am curious what the other dishes in their extensive menu tastes like. I think I will continue going to China Café which is up the street for my typical carryout fare. The dishes up there has that zing to it.

Yup, went here just because I was intrigued by the name as I was passing by the area. The hole in the wall location, and giant pile of old newspapers on the table might be a little off putting, but I gave it a shot. The Ginger Beef is fried breaded strips of steak(the breading gave it a strange texture) with carrots and peppers in a sweet, little bit spicy and very gingery sauce. Came with a good size helping of fried rice and a fresh spring roll. Nice to try something different than the usual Chinese takeout. About 8 dollars for the combo meal. 3.5 stars

Wow, what an awful dinning experience and unsanitary. Called in an order for pick up and the person on the phone was more interested in getting me off the phone than paying attention to what I was ordering. Also I was put on hold 3 times, which I can understand if the place is busy, but when I showed up 5 minutes later to pick up my food there was no one in the restaurant. When I arrived I went up to the counter and someone from the kitchen had to ask me what I ordered… seriously? Whats the point of taking my order and my name if I then I have re-order it when I show up… shouldn’t they just say«whats the name» or something to that extent? At this point I am wondering who took my order(because the person from the kitchen’s voice didn’t sound like the one on the phone). After I’m standing there for 5 minutes this elderly lady(grandma I presume, looks like a family run business) then decides to get up from her meal, walk around the counter, and tell me my food will be ready in 5 minutes. BINGO, this is the lady that took my order over the phone(same voice). What sort of customer service is that? When a customer walks in you dont continue chatting and eating with your family and then several minutes later decide to pay attention to your job. We ordered the chicken with garlic sauce and the twin flavor chicken with a side of egg rolls. We both tried each others dish, and apart from the meat being different, the sauces were exactly the same, so clearly they didn’t make what we ordered. The egg rolls were disgusting and for some reason they had beef in it… last I checked egg rolls do not have beef in them. To top it all off I found a HAIRINMYFOOD… that is disgusting and unsanitary. The restaurant itself is a mess. There is a hole bunch of cluttered junk all over the place and there is only 2 tables with enough seating for maybe 8 people. Never coming back here again. Recap: 1. inattentive/uncaring customer service 2. food was nasty and not what we ordered 3. found a hair in my food, unsanitary 4, restaurant was a mess

Horrible excuse for a Chinese restaurant. And the signature dish ‘Ginger Beef’ is terrible.

Everything I have ordered has been excellent. They can even customize quite a few of their dishes. The workers at the front are always interested in your opinion of the food. I usually go in with a co-worker and eat-in, so we are away from the office. I would prefer to see some better housekeeping. Organization in the front area could be much better. General cleanliness in the front and back, where everyone can see, would reallly improve this place. Cleanliness and upkeep is the final step to making this place King of the Hill.

First, this place serves bad meatThe food they serve is not fresh and, if you order on a weekend and you spend less than $ 20, they will deliver first to the people who have spent $ 40 or more. They told us delivery will take 30 minutes. 1.5 hours later they said it will be 20 more minutes. Finally, we just cancelled our order and went with Hong Kong. There are better take outs than this place.

ordered at 5:30p on a Sunday for deliver. An hour and 15 min later it finally arrived. So far, its the best chinese we’ve had since moving here 6 months ago and it’s our 6th try. General Tso’s shrimp is to doughy but sauce yummy, reminded me of funnel cakes but I rarely order anything breaded. Garlic Eggplant was very good. Overall, decent for the east coast. We will order again for sure.

I know this place gets great reviews, but the food sucked to me. It was the first time I’ve ever had ginger beef and I didn’t like the taste or texture. I also ordered general tao“s. The only pro was that they used white breast meat, other than that, it wasn’t so great. I’ve noticed it’s hard to find good takeout Chinese food in the DC area. I’m from Philly and I’m use to our Chinatown and New York’s. This crap down here is horrible!

You know what they say about best things coming in small packages. Well, you got a small package here! A little hole in the wall located in a strip mall. I’ve been here few times, and I found their foods are excellent in every way. This is strictly a carry out or delivery place, but I could see they have good followers, every time I’m there waiting for my food, their phone ring off the hook. Ginger Beef is not just the name of the restaurant; they do serve a dish named Ginger Beef, something you have to try. It is strips of beef stir fried in a tangy spicy sauce with carrot strips. Interesting enough I notice there are no other restaurants in the Washington area that offer this dish, till I spoke with the owner. I found this dish is actually famous in Calgary Alberta, and there’s actually two other Ginger Beef in the Virginia area who are related to this one, but this is the original Ginger Beef, at its best. Beside their Ginger Beef, I recommend their fried dumpling, to die for! Try their General Tso Chicken and their daily special. And yes, they offer lunch special for under $ 5, you can’t beat that now a days, especially for the quality of the food. This family-owned restaurant that has some of the best service I’ve seen, you don’t find that now a days. Good food came from a good chef, and I think they have few here.

This is my other regular place for lunch. You know you are in a restaurant with fresh ingredients when you see the chef dismembering whole chickens in the back of the kitchen. Chicken dishes are my favorite here; take your pick: General Tso’s Orange (and the less good) Lemon Singapore noodles is sure to please with a healty dose of curry and enough food to serve 2 for around $ 8. Lunch specials are a great deal at $ 4.25 or $ 4.50 with a can of Coke. It’s so cheap its nearly un-American. Then again the portait of Mao on the wall might remind you are not in an American restaurant. Cold beer is avaiable to drink here or take away. Finally, the owners’ grandkids are often around and generally well behaved. If you have a chance to chat with their British son-in-law he’s a hoot and a really nice guy.
