My 87 year old father has been in hearing aids, and to various hearing Doctors, for 12 years and his hearing loss — even with the hearing aids — prevented him from hearing almost everything. He mostly read lips and tried to piece together conversations. He could not participate in family events, phone conversations, hear TV, or even experience the noises of nature which he so enjoyed on our Mt Vernon acreage. Dr. Sakellarides turned this around. Her exam was very thorough — and quite different that what we have experienced in the past. He left the appointment with new hearing aids and was hearing EVERYTHING around him. So much so that he is in the process of ‘retraining his brain’ to hear/​filter again. This has greatly improved his life!!! I cannot thank Dr Sakellarides enough. Run — do not walk — to this doctor/​facility if you or anyone you love is missing out on life because of a hearing problem. P. S. I am a VERY critical person demanding quality in the choices I make for my self and my family… so for me to give a review this good… well, I think it speaks for itself.

Dr. Maria fit me with hearing aids in December 2010. They fit so comfortably in my ears and deliver a natural, true to sound so that I nearly forget I am wearing them. No «tinny» sound with these. When I mention my hearing aids in conversation people are shocked and then make a point to see them. I began realizing my hearing was not up to par, but couldn’t face the fake sound I feared I would experience so put off as long as I could going in to be seen. Don’t make that same mistake as you’re missing out on so much with each day you delay. I am a 60+ year old veteran who visited Dr. Maria last week. My hearing aids needed some repair and maintenance and the VA could not schedule me for several months. Dr. Maria worked me into her schedule and treated me like a regular patient. She did an outstanding job on both hearing aids. She is most competent and caring. When it comes time for my next hearing screening, I definitely plan on scheduling an appointment with Dr. Maria.

Dr. Maria is fantastic! She has two offices, but is primarily in the Lorton office now. She really cares about her patients and takes the time to make sure they are fitted properly and the hearing aids are programmed to fit your specific hearing needs. I had been told I talked loud and then I noticed I was not hearing my granddaughter. It was amazing what I was missing. The hearing aids are invisible. After I got mine, my husband got his. We can actually talk without saying «huh» or «what» or just guessing what people are saying.
Go see her for any hearing issues you may have. We would not go anywhere else.
