We recently took a kayaking trip with Colin at Cascadia and had a blast. It was the first time my wife or I had ever kayaked. We started with some onshore instruction on how the kayaked worked and how to effectively paddle. The instruction was kept simple and to the point and we were soon underway. Our tour was a ~5 mile trip out of Mud Bay, through Iceberg Point, and back again. It was pretty clear that Colin knows the area like the back of his hand and was great at pointing out wildlife we probably would have missed. We saw jellyfish, deer, herons, seals, and starfish. At one point we even paddled into a cave which was simply breathtaking. With any tour, it’s the guide that can make or break the experience. Colin was always there to answer questions or point things out without ever getting in the way of the amazing scenery. They’re great people and the trip was a fantastic day trip from Seattle.
