Had the house special fried rice and I’ve had better but this was still pretty good. The only thing I missed was more BBQ Pork and prawns. There was very little BBQ pork and only little bay shrimp in it. I prefer prawns. I also like it better when the meat is flame grilled too but still, this was pretty good. Got it to go and ate it at the lake and it was a good picnic. I haven’t tried anything else there but I will. They do have two huge holes in the ceiling in the dining room. I wouldn’t want to eat under either hole and they’re pretty big!

Nice people and they food is good. Too bad Panda built a place next door. I would pick this place any day over Panda. The dinner plates are huge. We will be eating this tomorrow too.

The half order is good. I used to go here all the time in highschool. Everything else is a little to spendy

The best in Longview! If you get a hankering like I do for Chinese schezuan cousine this is the place. I’ve traveled everywhere and this home cooking brings back fond memories. Check out the lunch specials and the hot n sour soup, it will be a reason to come back again and again.

Was kind of forced to eat here when our motorhome broke down. So glad we did. Everything was excellent and portions were abundant. Great prices too.

Not as bad as these previous reviews make it out to be. If you are expecting authentic Chinese food go somewhere else. If yo want decent food for a decent price it’s not bad.

Only two reviews in two years and both bad. So, I had to try it out lol Interior looks fine, table was a little sticky but it was promptly cleaned when I asked. Lots food going out the door, the owner lady was very friendly, the man(her husband, I think) helped serve people with a big smile… Price is about average. Food was OK.

I love that they use fresh zucchini in the sub gum chow mien. Also New Moon never uses MSG and in our family we have an allergy so that is very important. The owner is almost always there and she makes you feel part of her family the first time you come in. We eat at New Moon about 1 – 2 times a month and I can’t seem to refer enough people there. The food is the BEST Chinese food I have had. Try the sesame chicken.

Loved this place for several years. The portions are huge!!! The prices are great. I quit going because the service was terrible. Totally got ignored for water refills. I went another time and was seated and handed a menu. We were looking at the menus and the lady waiting on us walked by and literally yanked the menus out of our hands and given to other customers who were just seated. She laughed and said it’s okay, you wait. Very rude and strange. That was the last time.

The food at New Moon is quite good. Better than the food, however, are the people. Rarely have I eaten at a place where I felt more a part of the family. Good food, great people!

I’ve eaten all over the world, really I have. That includes eating all over this country too… and while doing that I have learned the ability to look at my food and know that it will probably suck. I’m seldom wrong, like for example, this place. My slop was thrown in front of me as I looked at it in horror… I sat back, looked around the room to see who would be able to pump my stomach if I took a bite and there was really no one, but what the hell, I took a bite anyways and as I predicted, it was DISGUSTING. I really don’t think I’ve ever had Chinese food that was this bad. It was soggy, bland, tepid… and I have no idea how they have the audacity to call themselves a restaurant, let alone a Chinese restaurant.
