The food was really good and fair priced. This is a great restaurant for truckers because the food comes out fast and in large portions. All together a quality dinner.

I don’t understand how people can toss around 4 and 5 stars so easily. Take Unilocal seriously and rate it right. Maybe it’s worth that many stars for breakfast. I ate here for the first time ever for lunch. I phoned in an order 10 minutes prior to arrival. I got the long haul burger. Which is a cheeseburger with egg and ham on it. With a side of tots. This burger was by far the worst burger I have ate ever. The ham was burnt, like it was cooked on an insanely dirty grill. The bun was soggy, the beef patty was bland and overcooked with crunchy edges. With very little sauce on the burger. The tots were good. I ended up throwing the burger away after eating half of it. It was to burnt tasting. Even if it didn’t taste like it survived a house fire the burger would still be gross. I ended up paying almost 13 dollars for the meal. I felt like I got bent over the counter! I will not go here ever again. I wish I could take my decision to go here back. And get my money back. The 2 stars is Cuz the tots were good. If they sucked also ot would only get 1 star

Ate here 2 times. BOTHTIMESFRIENDLY nice staff. Generous portions! both my 4 yr. old and I shared one plate for $ 8.99! We had the Indy hash browns stuffed with ham, egg, bacon, cheese, onions, topped with country gravy. with side of toast. yum

Been here twice now and both times service was very friendly. The food did not take long to come out and the portions are generous. This is almost a hidden find as it is located inside a gas station, but has that diner feel to it. The first time here, I had the dip with curly fries. The second time, I had the small portion of chicken fried steak meal.

This place is still unclean. It would be nice to find another breakfast restruant, but I have to consider my health.

Sat at the counter for ten minutes before the people that just walked in were given menus and water. Decided to go somewhere else.

Love the food… quick little stop… however not a lot of seating so sometimes you have to wait for a booth to open up

Was looking for a new place to brunch in the Longview/Kelso area, and after checking Unilocal, decided to give this place a try, despite there being no published menu. Wasn’t disappointed. It’s a throw-back, no frills, truck-stop diner that shares space with a mini mart grocery/deli in a Chevron station in the industrial area of Longview. Nine counter stools and about as many four-seat booths, all full, with a short wait to be seated mid-morning on a Friday. I’d estimate 75−80% local clientele. Only real down sides were parking, wait time and the«neighborhood». Wait staff was friendly and attentive, despite running their tails off. Coffee was good, but not quite as good as that at Peper’s 49er up the road at Castle Rock. Menu was is pretty basic(poor quality pics attached — sorry!), but everything was priced very reasonably, given the portion sizes. We all did breakfast/brunch and I had my usual steak and eggs(w/hash browns and toast). Although the meal size itself was a little smaller than I’m used to(6 oz steak and 2 eggs, instead of 8⁄3), was cooked perfectly to order, and priced accordingly. The«boss» ordered mushroom and cheese omelet, that came with three BIG pancakes, al of which she said were done perfectly, and again, priced right. My brother had the«Irish Skillet»(w/toast) which he said was great, and again portion size vs price was excellent. None of us noted any grease to speak of, and, looking around, other folks’ meals were as hearty and appetizing. It’s an easy 10 minute side trip off I-5, just far enough to be inconvenient, but if you’re passing through for any reason, it’s worth the stop.

Yes the portions are huge and the service and prices are good. But the food is very ordinary. I had the pancake sandwich and hash browns. The hash browns tasted like shredded paper and it took my stomach 2 days to recover from the pancakes. Sorry. I’m sticking with The Pancake House, where the pancakes are the best.

Asked the locals and they sent me here. For being a diner in a gas station, it was 2 thumbs up. Showed up hungry, left stuffed. The local flavor was a hoot.

Super food! Great menu, awesome waitress(who is usually serving the whole place herself). Big portions and cooks that know how to make it just right! Stop in. It is totally worth it!

Bit out of the way, but the breakfast was totally worth it. Staff was friendly and attentive. If I wasn’t just passing through, I’d eat here regularly.

My grand dad and I are just out for a drive and we got hungry so we checked Unilocal fit recommendations and as a result we can’t to a place we would have normally skipped because it is part of a gas station. We really liked it and we are glad to have stopped. We both had the prime rib dips which were pretty good. The place was filled with locals so they are doing things right. The service was great as we expected considering it was a service station. Get it service station. I crack me up.

Based on the Unilocal reviews we detoured a little out of the way for this place… and it was worth it! Ordered a beef rib dipper sandwich with curly fries and a Cobb salad… both very good and fresh. The diner was having computer issues the day we went and despite the slight customer inconvenience it was all forgotten due to the friendly service… I just love being called honey and darling by a semi frazzled waitress… nice and authentic.

This place was great. Very friendly service very happy people. I wish you got this kind of service at higher-quality restaurants really good for a little out-of-the-way diner. If I am down this way again will definitely revisit.

Yes! Syrup is warm! Both berry and maple are warmed as not to make your French toast or pancakes cold. The 3 Pigs-in-Blanket are enough for 2 people to share. Coffee is good and hot and fresh. Coming back to try their Friday/Saturday prime rib special!

First of all the service was great but the food was the shining star. Everything we had was great fast and piping hot. The pie is also something to try. I from talking with the locals I think they take this place for granted… sort of like we do in Saint Louis with the arch. If you are visiting from out of town and want a comfort food breakfast or dinner stop in.

This place is awesome because they offer tator tots on the menu. The waitress was very helpful. I ordered the prime rib dip sandwich and my guest(anne) ordered something different, a Hawaiian chicken sandwich! Iced tea is very good. The tator tots are awesome, I highly recommend them. The prime rib sandwich with Au jus was good, it just needs more meat on the sandwich. Anne enjoyed her sandwich and the curly fries were well seansoned. Shout out to Anne for finding this place for dinner on our way to Oregon.

Thank you Unilocal for this dinner recommendation! Heading south toward Portland around dinner time my driver Mark C. announced that it was time for his navigator(me) to find dinner ‘not too fancy’ ‘not too expensive’ that ‘had diner-like food’ to please both of us. It was a bit of drive off the I 5 and pulling into the parking lot you notice it is a hybrid diner/gas station/convenience store. Our hostess!/waitress was a doll and our food was brought out hot and fast. What can I say. The food was good. Really good. My Hawaiian Chicken sandwich was flavorful and juicy and Mark C. did not stand a chance to try a bite. And just when I thought it could not get any better I had th the option of three different types of fries. Opted for curley seasoned and each bite was a mouthfu of fried goodness. Mark C. thought he died and went to heaven when our waitress told him he could get tater tots. Some might question this 4 star rating but the food was well balanced both in taste and flavor and it was just what this weary traveler was looking for to refuel. To me anything less would not do it justice.
