I went here a few years ago and loved the view and service. Food was not too memorable, though. Some of the reviews here, such as Dae K’s, is worrying. It didn’t smell like ‘garbage bin juice,’ as per Hayde J’s review. What happened to this place?

When we first visited Water’s Edge as a potential wedding venue back in April, we fell in love with it. The views, the upkeep, and the professional staff really won us over so we happily decided to have our wedding there. Fast forward 6 months later, and the owner, H. Singh, is being prosecuted by the city of NY for over 13 counts of fraud, tax evasion, bribery, and various other charges, sending the venue into serious financial trouble. There are no guarantees they will even be open for our wedding. This is of no fault of the people who work there who are all genuinely good people trying to make these weddings happen for their customers. However, the professional staff we specifically thought we would be working with is all gone — either quit because they weren’t being paid or were fired abruptly for not getting«in line» with the owner’s corrupt ways of doing business. We have talked to attorneys who advised us to cancel because it’s very possible they will file bankruptcy or be shut down before our March wedding and that is a risk we are not willing to take. When we spoke with the new General Manager, he actually noticed that our contract was NEVERSIGNED! The new General Manager actually tried to help us. Because of the unsigned contract, we were told the owner agreed he would give our money back with the first payment promised to us late last week. Guess what? No payment! Shocking!(Except not really shocking at all). We have been given the run around for over a month. Now we are being told that we are being lumped together with everyone else waiting for an answer, wanting to cancel. This man is a horrid human being and a crook. I tried to have faith they would do the right thing. My faith in them is totally gone now. The only good thing that has come out of this is how many actual professional, kind, wonderful venues have stepped up to help us forget this nightmare situation and try to give us our dream wedding. Kudos to the Water Club, the Green Building, 501 Union, Carlyle of Lawrence, and the Greentree Country Club — amazing owners and staff who actually care about their customers at all these places!!!

When we saw the article from Gothamist that came out on Friday 10/25, we panicked. We went to the restaurant immediately and spoke with the person in charge at that point. The staffs reassured us that everything will be fine and our wedding will still be held on Sat 10÷3÷15. Trust me, I cried every night for a week worrying that the wedding was not going to happen as planned or the restaurant won’t be operating. We went to the venue everyday and spoke with Asif, the new manager, Paul, the new matre’d everyday and Scott, the head bartender everyday. Sometimes even twice a day to make sure they have enough staffs, food and liquor for our wedding. They all understood our concerns and promised us that they will do whatever it takes to make sure our wedding will run smoothly. I also cried about the construction outside which blocked half of the view. There is nothing the restaurant could do. Paul did speak with them to have them lower the cranes before the day of our wedding. We were so disappointed but we understood that they did try their best. We were just praying for the sun to go down early because you can’t really see it at night. Up to the day of the wedding, the groomsmen went there at 10am to ensure the restaurant was operating. We felt relieved, when my husband met and knowing the ceremony and all the tables were set up. Everyday since the article came out, we had a back up plan to have a shot gun wedding in a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown if things didn’t happen as promised. The wedding turned out way better than I expected. The food was amazing. We received so many compliments on the cocktail hour food and everyone who had the seabass told us the fish was hot and cooked perfectly! Paul and Asif went out of their way to make sure everything was running smoothly. People have always warned me that things will not happened as planned for every wedding. I have to say. My wedding was perfect. My husband and I had no complaints. Everything was absolutely perfect. We had over 200 guests. We held our Chinese tea ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception from 3pm to 11pm. There were no hiccups and Paul made sure to communicate with our bridal party and my parents what to expect. We had our bridal party held up sparklers for our entrance and Asif accommodated us and even held a bucket of water to put them out. Asif and Paul made it happen for us. It was a fairytale wedding that we never had imagined. I always hear brides say«I’m glad this is over» after the wedding. We actually extended our wedding for half an hour longer. I wished we extended it longer. We didn’t want it to end. Our guests had such a great time and most of them stayed till they turned on the lights. Also, Scott, the head bartender really took care of our guests. We had 3 top shelf open bar and they were not cheap on the pour and served our guests all the alcohol they promised. Scott always gave us a handwritten card which was a very nice touch. Besides calls from our friends and family, we received so many texts, fb posts and emails saying this is the most beautiful and fun wedding they’ve been to so far. ***One last thing to add, my bridal party did see Mildred eating our cocktail food in the bridal room that was intended for the bride and groom. We had such a great time and it was left over food that we didn’t touch, so my husband told me not to make a fuss about it. I just wanted to point it out because my bridesmaids were really upset about that. I would’ve gave them a 5 star but I couldn’t due to all the chaos and stress that we had to go through. We hope they stay operating for other couples who have booked their venue and provide what was promised like how they did for us.

Awful experience here. 1.) I called a few days ahead of time to book a table for lunch for my girlfriends birthday(note i did have a groupon that I INTENDED to use) 2.) Coming up to the restaurant looks like an abandoned industrial park and smells like a week old fish market(think garbage bin juice) 3.) Arrive, no hostess, no reservation, just a guy telling us to sit wherever inside/out 4.) we choose a table outside next to a friendly group, nobody comes to our table for 30 min… literally it was 45 min before anyone got menus/water to our table, it literally got so bad that the friendly table gave us one of their crab cakes, and went inside to complain about being totally ignored. 5.) waiter finally comes back to inform us that our groupon is no longer valid because of new owners? no sign of management, just a busboy with a pink cocktail to say sorry 6.) food came after 1hour 20 min was ok, and after asking for some bread we got a chard cheap hamburger bun still, nobody aware, no manager to be found 7.) after a 2 hour experience finally get to leave with a sunburn and feeling extremely neglected after average food and morbid service. stay away from this place, there are so many other restaurants in the area of LIC to dine at even 3 more waterfront places, this place and their«new ownership» is slow and non existent management(if there is any) left me just me apologizing to my GF on her birthday.

I purchased a groupon(with a coupon so it was even cheaper) for this restaurant and it was such a great deal! Otherwise, prepare for a pricey meal. The location was easy to get to via driving but it seems to be quite a walking distance from the nearest subway. It is right by the water hence it’s namesake. When we went, there was a wedding going on upstairs. The view faces the East River and is beautiful at night. We ordered a bottle of wine and each ordered a entrée. I had the whole fish which was tasty but not that memorable. My boyfriend had the surf and turf and his mom had the lobster. Everything was huge! There was enough to take home and everything had sides. The food was nothing too special and not worth the high prices. I guess people pay for the spectacular view. During dinner there was also a pianist playing in the background(very classy). At the end of the night, we took photos outside(they have an outside deck) and the staff were very friendly about helping us to take pictures. Come for the view, not the food. Bring a camera and try to get a groupon or living social deal!

Waters Edge has a great view going for it, but without that, it’s mediocre at best. Primarily, the problems here are operational, but also, the food suffers from dullness. A weekday lunch should not take 2.5 hours. Our waiter was very kind, attentive, and engaged with us, but the kitchen and bar couldn’t seem to get things right, even though we ordered from a prix fixe menu that had a small number of options, and all of us selected only 4 different dishes. The skirt steaks were nearly all overdone, and even though I’m someone who puts extra salt on everything, I found my meal way over salted and lacking nuance. That said, the highlight of my lunch was the watermelon tomato gazpacho(I’d say it’s about 3.5 stars compared to other gazpachos). This was light, refreshing, and nicely presented. The calamari was over battered and then smothered in sweet chili sauce from a bottle. They have a pretty good wine list but all their house cocktails are sugarbombs. I made the mistake of ordering a classic, canon cocktail that wasn’t on the menu and this was literally the first time in my life I have ever sent a drink back. You CANNOT use bottled lemon juice in a $ 14 cocktail that only has three ingredients! The bartender has no business being a bartender if s/he cannot make one of the most basic beverages around. To top it all off, this meal was expensive. Nope, bye, I’ll get my views elsewhere.

Been here two times and love the view, food and the service. Yes, it is pricey and Groupon helped a bit. The view — 5* The food — we loved most of the dishes wine — Fat Cat Merlot $ 12 — we liked it the first time and ordered it again. appetizer — Calamari $ 12 was a huge dish, tender and good enough for 4 of us. Chinese dumplings which is part of RW and it came with 3 pieces and we loved the sauce. steak — 12 oz skirt steak $ 26 — it is a VERY long strip. Ordered it rare and it was seared perfectly. It was sweet and tender. We all loved it, 5 stars. We also had 8 oz filet mignon(part of RW) and 24 oz cowboy ribeye, but my skirt steak was the best. side — ordered«tower of onion rings» $ 6 and it came in a small bowl. This was the most disappointing dish of all. dessert — ordered crème burlee(part of RW) and trio of sorbet. It took a long time to come and got chocolate lava cake instead of crème burlee. The waiter apologized and quickly delivered the correct dessert and he also comp us the laval cake. It turned out that the lava cake was the best of all three. It was hot and not too sweet. Yum. service — I had the same waiter both times. Very good service and did not treat us any difference when using coupon or RW meals. Definitely will come back…

The only ‘Restaurant week’ restaurant in LIC. While the walk to the restaurant can make you question your restaurant selection, the end destination is worth it if you are dinning with people who can appreciate a little adventure. The restaurant is indeed located on the waters(east river), but is surrounded by industrial buildings and warehouses. There will be moments where you are walking down the street mainly due to DOT cars and equipment taking up all of the sidewalk and their parking spots. Don’t worry, keep walking. You are heading towards the right direction. When you enter Waters Edge Restaurant, the scenery delivers. The view of the 59th street bridge, the view of Manhattan skyline, and the waters are absolutely tremendous. They offer outside seating which I would highly recommend on a nice day. The food options for RW: Appetizers: Tomato & Watermelon Gazpacho, Calamari and Chopped Salad. When I am dinning out, I usually avoid ordering the salad unless there was something interesting standing out. The real options were the gazpacho and calamari. I ended up ordering the gazpacho but I got a chance to try the calamari. The gazpacho was light, refreshing but with a little zest to it. It’s a good choice. However, the clear standout to me was the calamari. The calamari was on the tender side(idk, some ppl like extremely crunchy calamari). The calamari had an incredible sweet chili sauce that was just perfection. If I had to do it again, I would have gotten the calamari. Entrée: I order the salmon, but I got a chance to try the skirt steak. The salmon was spot on and do very well. The skirt steak was good, but it didn’t have the same quality that you would get from a steakhouse. Dessert: While the website only listed crème brûlée and molten lava cake, the menu at the restaurant also had cheesecake. I ordered the cheesecake, but tried the crème brûlée. The brulee had a nice light and creamy custard. The cheesecake was on the lighter side and enjoyable. It is important to note that 20% gratuity is automatic charged to your bill. Normally, I dislike it when gratuity is automatic especially when there is poor and slow service. It is like entering into a relationship with a girl and she already want something. You want to avoid those because its a sign of trouble. anyways, side tracked… that’s another conversation. However, the staff at Water Edge and food service was on point and they were very attentive to me and my guests. They earned and justified the 20% gratuity. An overall great lunch experience. I will be bookmarking and intent to return to dine again.

Came here twice in one week, had some friends visiting and felt like this would be a nice place to visit, similar to what others have said, I would say the food is good, but overpriced and service is pretty terrible. I think if you go into your meal with that in mind, it’s not so bad. If you want to have a 3 – 4 hour dinner, watch the sun set and you aren’t starving, this place is GREAT! The food is good, you’re paying the premium because of the view. Servers aren’t rude are mean, they are just non attentive and not experienced. Both times we went for dinner, we were at the restaurant for almost 3.5 hours. On the weekend, I’m okay with this, great time to chat, see the beautiful view, enjoy company of those we went to dinner with, but the other time we went on a Monday and 3.5 hours is way too long! The frustrating part is the first time, our waiter said our food took over an hour(from when we got our appetizer, so even longer from when we ordered) because we ordered right after a big group. Strange thing was, the following time, he did not use the same excuse, he just said, ‘food is on its way’ when we questioned why it was taking so long. The food: Chilean Sea Bass $ 30 Sea bass was cooked perfectly, very tender, no bones. Loved the veggies and corn that this was paired with. Porter House Steak For One 24oz. $ 43 A GOOD size piece of meat! Very tender and I would choose this over the Bone In and Filet Mignon. We tried the porter house right next to the bone in and we(all 4 in our group) that the porter house was more flavorful and tender, not sure if this is always the case. Filet Mignon 12oz. $ 42 Was a little disappointed with the cut, was not as tender as I expected or fat free. I have very high standards for my filet mignons, and this did not meet it, I would not recommend this. Sesame Crusted Tuna $ 30 Baby Bok Choy, Red Onion, Soy Sauce, Ginger Flavor of this dish was amazing, the tuna wasn’t the best I’ve had, but it was tender enough. In general, I love tuna, bok choy and ginger sauce, so this was a winner in my book Lobster Mac N Cheese $ 12(very small portion size) You can never go wrong with mac and cheese, however this was an incredibly small dish, just a few bites and it was gone. I also didn’t actually taste any lobster … I feel like for $ 12, there should have been more! Truffle Fries $ 7 Delicious, again small portion size,(not as small as the mac and cheese though). I prefer my truffle fries to have more of a truffle flavor, this one had very little, but was still good … Overall, I think there are much better places to eat in the city, however the view is pretty spectacular and I would say rare. Coming from New York, this place is a 10 – 15 minute walk from the subway, kind of in the middle of nowhere. I would not recommend this place to others, or come back, but I wouldn’t say I had a bad experience either as I had read reviews and knew what I was getting myself into. And overall, the food was good.

Apps. Calamari a little dry. Not the best I have had. The crab cake was good. A small portion to share maybe maximum 2 people. Main dish. I got the Filet mignon, medium well. It was ok. The source is not to die for. The mash potatoes. That was very good. It was done well. I would have liked it a little more juicy. But over all it was good. Desserts Chocolate molten lava cake. It was just great. I love dark chocolate.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here, I happen to stop by during the week. We came in at around 845pm had reservations no problem being seated, we sat inside since there was no room outside which of course u can expect now since the weather is changing. Once seated we decide to go with some wine with our meal Pinot Grigio for me, good wine & Cabernet for my friend good as well these were our choices for the night. On the Appetizers we tried the Hand Rolled Gnocchi Ham, Shiitake Mushrooms, Truffle Oil combo made the gnocchi taste really good, the gnocchi itself practically melts in your mouth wished this dish was bigger. Main meal I went with the NY Sirloin along with some Truffle Fries, Nice piece of meat steak was juicy & tender. Truffle fries were delicious. My friend tried the Porter House steak w some Mashed potatoes. Good piece of meat as well, excellent mash potatoes really creamy they certainly wiped the heck out of them potatoes. The place itself is lovely, really can’t beat the great city views. Service was pretty slow when it came to getting our food, so much so that our waitress offered us a round of drinks on the house, nice that they acknowledge this. My friend had a groupon deal so our meal was decent In price, prices here are pretty high although I don’t really understand why? Our food was good but for what they charge it’s pretty over the top. I was debating on the Stars & settled on the 4th star simple because of the views & not so much the food & service. Nice place yes, great views, our waitress was lovely but the service was slow good for a pricey evening if u are looking to impress someone definitely not an every day or even every other day place to visit save it for a nice occasion.

Was here with a party of 6 and two living social vouchers. Wait staff were very brief in explaining how the voucher would work, which they later clarified. Food was meh for the price. The service and chef just seemed like they were use to serving weddings and that the view would make up for their lack of enthusiasm. I’d go back for drinks on the deck with that view, but why get mediocre food when you’re in NYC!

Was it the best food I have ever had? No. But the views, the service, and the evening were all awesome. Came with a groupon. You should know that they charge you tax for the amount the groupin says it’s worth so no matter what you are gonna get charged tax for $ 125. So spend that! If your date orders a cheaper entrée, get a more expensive one or add a side! We got the lamb lollipops to start, pretty good. Decent flavor. For pieces with crustini and an apple relish. I got the duck. Fat could have been crisper, but it was good. Bf got one of the fish dishes, it was pretty basic, but tasted fine and the side of mush was really good. Service was awesome! Not sure why other people have had problems.. Our waitress was attentive without being annoying. She checked in on us and made suggestions. It was nice. The view is really why you come. It was awesome.

I have been here twice, both times with a voucher from Living Social. I want to love this place… I just cant. The view is amazing and I think that could be why I even gave the place a second shot. The first time I dined at Waters Edge it was just my boyfriend and I. We had a reservation for maybe 8PM and were literally out of there by 8:50. That is with a bottle of wine, an appetizer and two entrees. Rushed much??? The waiter did not seem to want to be working, and didn’t explain the voucher well at all. He said your not suppose to be able to order anything besides a specific section but don’t worry ill take care of you. I don’t know exactly what that means, if he was going to hook us up? if we would just pay the extra as we would anywhere else? Just very weird. The food on this visit was OK. We enjoyed our food but the rushing killed everything. I chalked it up to a bad waiter and gave it a second chance as a party of four. I will break down the second visit in pro /con style. Pro: –The waiter was very friendly and explained the voucher properly this time. Explained that each couple’s check(we each had vouchers) would have a deduction of $ 105.00 each. Did not make it weird as the other waiter did. –The waiter offered our table a bottle of wine VS the four separate glasses that were included in our voucher. Just a nice touch, where as some places would decline. –My friend loved his filet mignon and the other guests who had the skirt steak enjoyed it, but wished it included a side of some sort. –The shrimp included with my shrimp and lobster tail was yummy. –As promised, the check had a deducted amount of 210 total for our vouchers and no pre included tip. Con: –The calamari appetizer was crispy and flavorful but the octopus itself was SO tough. This is a simple dish that should be nailed at a fine dining establishment. — The Gnocchi appetizer was really awful. The Gnocchi was overcooked, and the green beans or whatever type of bean it was — gave the entire dish this weird after taste. It sounded amazing on the menu but disappointed. –The Shrimp and Brazilian lobster tail really disappointed. I enjoyed the shrimp — but the lobster tail just was way off to me. It was like mush almost? To my knowledge, I have never had a Brazilian lobster. I don’t know if this is just a trait or something was wrong in preparation or freshness. I have never met a lobster I didn’t like or LOVE actually. I have never met a SHELLFISH I wasn’t in LOVE with! So this was bad for me. I wish that something was stand out amazing for me, even something small in either trips– but I can’t say so. Our waiter on the second visit was very nice, but the negatives ruined it. Hopefully something changes because the property and location is amazing.

it’s certainly a very pretty restaurant — make sure when booking you ask for a seat by the window. Looked like mostly two tops though and the 4 tops was in the next row over. We ordered crab cake, oysters, carpaccio for apps. And, the chilean sea bass, duck, pork chop, and the special of the day steak. Sides: lobster mac & cheese, truffle fries, and asparagus I only saw two servers the night I was there and I don’t know if that’s why things were off. The meat we ordered was not cooked to the right temperature — well done for a med rare for instance. Sides were forgotten to be placed so they arrived after our entrees were done. Dessert that I pre-ordered prior to ordering entrees(it was my mom’s bday so I tried to get her a cake) was sold out by the time we were done with our sides because no one put in the request earlier. Normally, when stuff like this happens the server will comp something. A side, the nominal drinks we had… but no. the bill was full. and after i paid & was about to sign the bill, the server came over and asked if i wanted ice cream as a replacement for the cake since it was my mom’s birthday. too little too late. the food is good & the view is great. but the prices are high. so, come on the groupon. i did. and don’t compare this with similarly priced places

I came here for a date night with my boyfriend and we made the mistake of reading all the reviews. We came here a little skeptical and while we made a reservation, we made the mistake of sitting to the side and since it was a weekend, I think the hostesses couldn’t see us and kept seating people who came after us. It was no big deal though. We figured it was our fault since we were sitting in the corner instead of at the bar. The food was decent and well portioned. We had a living social deal(monetary value of $ 106) and so it wasn’t too expensive. We ended up sharing the crab cake appetizer, which was delicious. Though perhaps we should have ordered two appetizer, they didn’t seem like they were meant for sharing. My main dish was the lobster risotto which was really flavorful and filling. I liked that there were plenty of vegetables along with lobster. My boyfriend got the pork chop and it was delicious as well. The view was beautiful. I recommend bringing a cardigan or something since the tables by the windows can get a tad chilly. I was a little cold since we were sitting very close to the window. I should have brought a thicker cardigan. Overall though it was a good night. The waitstaff were very friendly and the atmosphere was nice.

Came here on Friday night at 6pm for a belated Valentine’s day dinner. Got seated immediately by the window so had an amazing view through out the meal and was able to see the last of sunset. We had a groupon voucher which was good for $ 125. We don’t drink so we both got juice(mine was pineapple/orange. yum! $ 4.50). They took the $ 125 off our bill in the end and said we could order basically anything on the menu. nice! I was very satisfied w/the apps. For appetizer, we tried the Tuna Tartare $ 15 which came with 4 crispy tortillas and under the tuna tartare, there was a nice layer of avocado. It also had some kind of sweet sauce(menu said cilantro soy sauce. it wasn’t soy-sauce-ish!!). I wasn’t a fan of it but it did balance out the saltiness of the avocado(it was salted a bit too heavy handedly IMO). Our other appetizer was Maryland Crab Cake $ 15 with lump crab, chive slaw, cajun remoulade. It was yummy! the crabcake didn’t have much filler and is exactly how I like it. For entrée, we got New York Sirloin 16Oz. $ 39 we weren’t asked which sauce but I think we got the Au Poivre sauce. No sides came with the steak though. but it was ok. we were quite full from the bread and apps already. We asked for Medium but I think the steak was more medium well. We didn’t ask for a new one but it might have been more moist if it was truly medium. We also got the Shrimp and Brazilian Lobster Tail 7Oz. Francese $ 40 which had white wine, lemon butter sauce. The dish came with 3 large shrimps. It must have been slightly breaded w/it was a bit gooey since it was in the sauce when it was served. The shrimps were pretty good. The lobster was a pretty good sized lobster tail, already removed from shell which enabled graceful dining. It was ok in terms of freshness. I sometimes buy live lobsters and cook it myself and feel that tastes better than the lobster tail i got, but it wasn’t bad. All in all, the view and the food were pretty decent and we enjoyed a good meal. but Not sure if I’d go back again for full price.

I never expect much after reading all the reviews but you always have to give it a try especially this place has a great view. a Michelin rated view. On a cold but clear night, my boyfriend took me here. I will never have a chance to explore other places outside the city without a car so I requested my bf to take me here. They have a valet parking which was nice. you just step in, check in your coat and have a seat. We requested the table next to the window. Upon seating, we were served with warm garlic bread. There is also a pianist which add on the atmosphere by playing some awesome music. I always love restaurant that have a pianist. He played happy birthday couple times too. I guess there were a few tables that have birthdays going on. Anyway. Started of with appetizer. We ordered the lamb lollipop. It was medium and the texture was perfect. I am not a huge lamb fan because I don’t like the smell but the lamb lollipop here was good. As entrée, I ordered the long island duck breast. The taste was good but it was a fat duck. hahaha. my bf agreed. If it wasn’t as fat it will be a really good dish. I ordered it medium and that’s how I love it in a western restaurant.(well, in chinese restaurant the roast duck is always fully cooked). They cooked it with balsamic sauce over(i think) and it was perfect, sweet + sour + saltiness. mmm My bf ordered the sea bass. sea bass was just. meh. ok. but we def had better one. the texture wasn’t as good. I like my duck better. :p We skipped dessert and decided to explore other places instead. The crowd here was slightly more mature. I guess you won’t take a subway here and walk all the way from court square to this restaurant. Overall, it was a great night.

It was a sporadic Thursday night and I was looking for a nice spot to dine. I had previously purchased a living social deal to this place for a group of 4, which had expired in November. However, as per the terms of ANY voucher deal, u can still use the monetary value when u purchased the deal, in this case $ 106. Place is Not to far from where I reside, about 15min drive and it sits literally on «the edge of the water» in LIC. Place has valet parking and they even conduct weddings here, pretty impressive. The place wasn’t too busy for a Thursday night, after we checked in our coats, we were promptly seated with a beautiful view of the city. The menu was vast and too my liking, particularly due to various selections and specifically due to the incorporation of butternut squash(one of my favorite vegetables and probably one of the most delicious vegetable of all time). The jury is out on this one. The full meal consisted of: 2 Stella Artois Butternut squash soup Lollipop lamb chops Butternut squash stuffed ravioli Bone in Rib eye(24oz) Sides: mashed potatoes and Lobster Mac n cheese. As you can surmise, the meal was more than filling. The soup, which wifey, graciously enjoyed(and I had a few spoons of) was on point. Finally!!! A well prepared squash soup. The lamb chop portion easily resembled an entrée, but it was an appetizer. And the lamb chops were MUCH better than the B.S. they serve @ Da Noi(read that review). The ravioli were scrumptious and were consumed real quick, like 0 – 100 drake type ish. Next, the steak entrée rolled out with the sides, we were stuffed, like your grandmothers thanksgiving turkey. Lol Food and service were on point. They accepted the value of $ 106 and I had to pay extra $ 50, for the extra food we had on top of tax and tip. All in all, a good meal, a beautiful view and a good nights rest. Definitely a good spot to come with friends and throw a potential bday. but come equipped with that PayPa thoooo… Elite out.

Bought a LS voucher to try this spot out. My parents raved about the restaurant. I think my father knows the owner. Whatevs… I always try out a good deal to see if it’s worth a return visit at full price. Although driving to the entrance feels like a trip to an industrial graveyard, there is valet parking at the end of that tunnel, along with some spectacular views of the NYC skyline. Beautiful. Hubby and I made reservations but arrived early. We were seated immediately. I was a little bummed that we didn’t score outdoor seating and I suggest, if you have the time, have a couple of drinks at the bar and wait for one of those coveted tables. Our server was very accommodating and there is plenty of support staff to make sure that you’re not neglected. We started with the Tuna Tartare. A little pricey AND spicy with its ginger and wasabi flavors but it tasted very good and lacked the unnecessary wonton chips that usually accompany tuna tartare. Hubby went for the NY Strip and it came with an onion tower. Flavors were nice and temp was perfect. I had the Lamb Chops w/Lamb Meatballs, which were generous cuts with great flavor. I had to go for an extra and ordered the Goat Cheese Potato Flan side. It was SO good and had truffle oil to help enhance the flavors. Not overdone. Unfortunately, I was stuck with a house Rosé but it did it’s job. While we enjoyed our dinner and all the breaks in between our courses, we basked in the breathtaking views of NY’s east side across the water and the best moments were those minutes that we stared out at the lovely colors of the sunset. Another #voucherwin! Happy to find a new place to visit and enjoy a great night out.
