I purchased a dining table and 4 chairs from Versailles. The owner, Mr. Sal Mehran is really very sweet, nice behaving and knowledgeable gentleman. He knows what exactly you are looking for and without interfering much he tries to explain pros and cons of different items. He understands the needs of a customer and tries to compromise with the convenience of the visitors at his showroom. He is very attentive, polite and extremely good in following up the delivery. I certainly recommend anyone who wish to have new furniture to visit his showroom. I am sure you will not regret with the quality and variation at this place.

Unbelievable… The service is beyond bad. Really the worst experience ever my life. 5 changed delivery dates. Several empty promises. Lies, lies, lies. We gave them patience. We gave them understanding. We gave them compassion. There is no reason on earth a customer should be treated this poorly. Every time we expected delivery, another excuse was given as to why we would not get it. 1. Driver lost, 2. delivery truck broke. 3. Too much snow(the day it snowed ½ inch). Factory out of stock of 1 of the three pieces. They used this particular excuse twice. The first time they said it was missing the«Loveseat» but the chair and sofa was in stock. I said deliver the two pieces and«next Tuesday» when the other piece becomes available, they could deliver. They said they could not deliver partial orders and pleaded for us to wait. The second time, they said the chair was out of stock and the sofa and loveseat was in stock. Again, I asked to please deliver the two pieces they do have and why didn’t they deliver the pieces they had in stock to begin with. Same excuse, we cant deliver partial and please wait. If anyone goes into this place to buy anything they are asking for trouble, frustration and inevitably disappointment. If your lucky, you wouldn’t have lost too much money while trying to give these people business. The most ridiculous place ever. Luckily we paid mostly by credit card. Next is a lawsuit if there is no refund of the cash payment.

I’m giving them 1 star because it won’t let me write a review otherwise I wouldn’t give them any stars. Do not go a near this place. My boyfriend and I bought 2 couches here they arrived to us tied on the top of a van red flag straight away. One of the couches got damaged when the so called delivery guy took it in, when I called to complain the horrible owner was far from nice about it and wasn’t willing to exchange the couch. My boyfriend then found the price tag from the shop display under one of the couches which proves we got the couches from the shop floor while the owner tried to tell us they came from Philadelphia so we are now waiting for him to come and take the couches out and bring us new ones. I will never buy anything from this man again he is rude, a liar and clearly a very bad business man.

STAYAWAYFROMTHEM I recently bought a couch that was 300DOLLARSMORE than what they had online. I called the store to explain the situation and the guy was RUDE and said there is nothing he could do i.e. NO refunds and No exchanges. There was no explanation as to why there was such a big discrepancy between the prices online and in the store. The store is a disgrace! STAYAWAY

This review is to counter the rating average of the 2nd reviewer. My opinion is his was an isolated case and you should take some of it with a grain of salt and it is not deserving at all. For us the only issue was that we never heard of this place because it is kind off of furniture row — which are generally Queens Mall/Woodhaven. It is located in LIC near the bridge. Sal, the owner was extremely helpful and courteous to us. There are 4 things that we have an issue with when it comes to buying furniture 1. price 2.Sales service– balance between aggressive sales and helpfulness 3. selection 4. delivery time. This later point is particularly problematic usually. Versailles passed each of these tests with flying colors. Our situation was we were after a particular coffee table that we saw at Jennifer Convertibles but a slightly different model. We looked all over online. This issue was we needed before Thanksgiving — at that point 3 days away. Online buying was out of the question given time frame. We went to Versailles’ site online and saw the product and popped over there. When it turned out the product was out of stock we were discouraged. However when they told us they could order it and deliver/assemble in our house on Wed for a price that beat all the competitors we really didn’t believe. Guess what, it happened. And we are thrilled with our new coffee and end tables. Also thanks to our delivery guy, Jose. We got this huge thing up to our walkup apt. Not an easy task. we’re thrilled. Thanks Versailles. We will be back!
