Super Deli Friendly

they make good heroes.
it is hilarious that they are called «super friendly deli» when the one guy follows you around and watches you the whole time (making sure you dont shoplift), and then proceedes makes fun of you in foreign language to the cashier while you pay.
but thats a damn good hero

My girlfriend used to live across the street from «Super Friendly» (as we called it). We were there all the time. Everything is incredibly cheap and it has a great selection considering how small the place is. It didn’t take long for the man behind the counter to identify me as a regular customer and he was even willing to spot me a buck or two when I would underestimate the amount of cash in my wallet. It was the perfect place to have right across the street.
A recent event finally prompted me to write a review. My girlfriend hasn’t lived near Super Friendly for well over a year and we haven’t been here since she moved. That is until we found ourselves walking past Super Friendly the other night on our way to a cooking/​tasting event and we stopped in to grab a quick snack. As we approached, I jokingly asked my girlfriend if she thought the guy would remember us. She seemed fairly certain that he wouldn’t. But, lo and behold, when we approached the counter, the man behind the counter smiled and said «Hey, long time no see» and he remembered both of us. He even knocked a dollar off the price of the beef jerky we were buying.
If that isn’t worthy of five stars, I’m not sure what is.
