Best place where you can host your party or wedding… christian and sheila are very helpful!!!

I’ve run into some issues with them that they are reluctant to speak about with me. They presented me with a contract and did not fulfill all of the terms– and are holding gear. Clients beware!
Also, in addition to not giving me gear, they were very rude about payment issues. Fast to collect, even faster to freeze my membership and to lock me out of making bookings. Way to kick a man when he is down!
They even charged me for storage for gear they would not let me access. They are extortionists at their best.
Shame on you guys for taking advantage of someone with a ‘disability’. Shame on you for kicking an artist when they are down.
Gear often turned up missing in the gear closet. Elevator is cramped. Bathroom is neat, but accounting is dirty. I suggest looking up one of many other rental studios. 28 on 29 for example is quite good!
I left them with an open offer, and they are free to reach out to me. All I want to do is pay them for the storage and get my gear back. Thank you!

Very cost efficient photo studio with quick convenient access to Manhattan and Williamsburg/​Greenpoint. The owner and staff are extremely helpful and communicative. Theres a great mix of studios for every kind of shoot that I’ve had. They have a cyc wall in one, great natural in two other ones, and a smaller studio for beauty work. They host a number of events for photographers and have a growing number of educational classes that I recommend you check out!

A real photographers studio. The owner is a photographer himself so it feels like the studio was designed for photographers. Only one stop outside Manhattan, it’s a much better value than some if the makeshift studios you will find in Manhattan for the same price. Also very professional and friendly… I’ve never had an issue with a booking.

I love this studio. I’ve rented space, recently. The owners, Christian & Sheila are great people. I also can’t get enough of their ginseng espresso shots! Coveiniently located close to the city, friendly atmosphere, clean environment, and I’m surrounded by great talents. A great impression on your image as a professional photographer.

Studio LIC is a remarkable space. I held my fisrt solo exhibition in the main gallery and couldn’t be more pleased with the support from the staff and the overall space itself. With the help of Kat who basically curated for me, and Christian who execited beautiful prints on site (at great prices) I have to say I am eager to revisit with clients.
If you’re looking for a comfortable studio environment with the space to work, Studio LIC is a hidden gem.

These guys are really great and very affordable in my experience. Great bang for your buck. Stumbled across them while googling for photo studio day rentals and had a wonderful experience there. We shot our yearly look book with a team of 8 people and everything was easy. Their website is super informative and accurately portrays the place itself. There’s also a fun, communal creative vibe there that was a pleasant surprise and the membership options are tempting (if we shot more than a couple times a year, we’d be all about it). We will definitely be back!
