3.5 stars!!! The pizza here is good, but you should eat it right out the oven! The pizza is crispy and tasty. This pizza gets soggy if not eaten right away. The margarita pizza is my favorite. The pizza is a little pricey… especially the specialty ones. This is my go to place if I’m in the mood for pizza and near by.

I work right near here and have ordered from them before. I came in after a couple drinks the other night, and I just noticed on my card statement that the guy gave himself a nice $ 10 tip. I wasn’t that drunk, man… I think it’s safe to say that’s the last«$ 1.75» slice I will be getting there.

Not bad! I was lured in here by the price of a slice — $ 1.75, versus $ 2.50 at most other places. I also ordered a caesar salad as I was feeling guilty about not having eaten any vegetables yet today. The pizza was pretty good, but could’ve used some more sauce. I liked that the crust was crunchy but still on the thicker side. I stayed there to eat and the presentation of the salad was as if I were in an expensive restaurant. Aside from being overdressed(they were a little *too* fancy with the dressing), it was delicious. Next time I go here I’m definitely trying the yummy-sounding eggplant roll and maybe another salad(dressing on the side this time, though!).

There plain slice isn’t the same. The sauce sucks now. I also tried a pepperoni slice and the pepperoni wasn’t enjoyable either. I’ll still come by for the chicken ceasar salad slice but Joe’s is just an average pizzeria now.

Perfect location. I get off the subway, have my pizza fix and mosey on home. The crust is always crispy, and everything tastes pretty fresh. I love that I can get a slice of pepperoni and a sprite for only $ 3.50.

I’ve grabbed slices here a couple times before heading to the movies or a bar in the area. Pretty good pizza, seemingly always fresh and cheap. And right off the subway!

The only decent pizza I’ve found in the area so far.

The best pizza in the immediate vicinity. If you like soccer(Serie A or EPL), they usually have the games on the television. This place is fairly busy every time I go and as such, they’re always making pies, which in turn means you’re likely to get a fresh slice. They sell some dessert pastries but I’ve never tried them. It has only about 6 – 8 tables but most people take their slices to go so it doesn’t seem to be too big of an issue.

This store is right on the corner of 31st street and 36th ave. They are right under the subway stop N and Q for 36th ave. This is a nice mom and pop run store. Pop is making pizzas and shuffling around the oven area while Mom is by the cash register. The place is clean and pleasant. The TV above had Spanish television and they spoke Spanish to each other. Am I giving a review because this place is authentic Italian? Not at all. It was good because of the slight Latino flair to the food. The pizza had a buttery flavor in the background and they had some very delicious looking flan in the dessert array. They even had a section with Salgadinhos. Salgadinhos are Brazilian appetizers made of chicken, beef or shrimp and Yucca. Mmmm. Yucca. I tried the chicken one and it was quite good right from under the heating lamp too. We ordered Pizza Casalinga. Medium was large enough for $ 13.00 and the eggplant they had on it wasn’t the usual medium thickness eggplant but a thinly sliced very crisply fried eggplant. Buttery pizza dough. I’ve been only to Costa Rica and to Mexico in my life so far and I feel like Latinos prefer things a little richer than Italians. I’ve eaten at all the usual pizza joints around NY that cite themselves as authentic and pizza wasn’t buttery. Different is nice. The mom and pop were such nice people and the young girl they had to help in the front was friendly and had a cute accent. I would say she was quite cute looking too. Guys might clamor over from the hipster Astoria side down to this end just to take a look at her and have her recommend something tasty. She reminds me of a younger and still yet innocent Sofia Vergara. We started off wanting to take away but ended up sitting in because we got too hungry. Immediately they brought out a serving spatula for us and some toppings like cheese and garlic and hot peppers. I think they wanted us to still have a nice time even with the sudden change in our dining location. Fusion cuisine can be intentional and can be unintentional. I think I like finding things that are unintentional because it tastes so much more authentic. Can’t wait to try Pizza Hut in Hong Kong even!
