Stopped in after a long walk through Astoria’s parks this afternoon for a quick warm up in the form of a coffee. I can see why people like Dunkin’ for their everyday coffee stop, it’s pretty darn affordable. But beyond that it’s not really my cup of tea, er, coffee I mean. It was convenient and very fast, but the majority of fast food/coffee shops are. The location I have to admit was super convenient. But the actual«dining» area was crowded and sloppy — time to send an associate out to to do a little clean-up. I might just be old fashioned and really enjoy the atmosphere of the more traditional coffee house. Just my preference.

This place newly opened up after closing the one only a few stores away. Very nicely made. But the bagels — they put TOO much cream cheese. I look at my receipt and it says 2 oz of cream cheese. Who needs that much cream cheese?! It’s funny because this DD is a bit pricier than the Dunkin Donuts a few blocks away — maybe because of the atmosphere?
