This place offers quick, efficient takeout service for lunch! I especially like the turkey and Brie panini and the fruit smoothies. Not a lot of room to sit(only one communal table) but perfect for takeout.

A hidden gem in the LIC neighborhood. After visiting pretty much every restaurant in the neighborhood, this place took me some time to find, but you can’t hide forever Barista Panini House. It’s a cute and cozy little shop that specializes in panini, quesadilla, and salad. The restaurant had a community bench with some rustic elements. A meal is priced between $ 5-$ 10 depending on what you order. I got the Havana(pork, mustard, pickles, and cheese). I traded my other half of the sandwich with my friend’s grilled chicken sandwich(swiss, chicken, tomato, and etc). The food came with a small salad on the side. The grilled chicken sandwich was pretty standard. It was overall very good– had nice flavors, chicken was moist, and etc. The Havana was a lot better. It had strong flavors that were very bold. I thought it could use some spice or peppers to make it an amazing sandwich. An extra ingredient would have provided another layer or taste and texture to make it outstanding. I am interested to see what the other sandwiches has to offer. It’s worth checking out if you are near this side of LIC.

I’ve given this place opportunity after opportunity to try and win my breakfast business back but the amount of mess ups have just been one too many lately. Numerous times I’ve called they’ve placed me on hold for 5+ minutes and can hear casual conversation going on in the background, numerous times I’ve gotten my order delivered completely wrong even though I order the same exact thing every time I call. This review is for delivery only as I find the food to be excellent, the price very affordable, and the coffee great. But since the staff has been recently replaced it’s always a crapshoot what I’m going to get when it comes to morning delivery.

Great local place to get a CHEAP breakfast. Run by Mexicans so efficiency is guaranteed. The large communal table is the only seating for in-house consumption. I wouldn’t come here again to stay. Doesn’t feel right.

I’m addicted! Since I started working in the area I have been here 3 days straight and with the place being so quaint and small it’s hard to forget my face lol. Service is great and food even better. Cheap eats considering all the other«high priced» eateries around.

My 5 star ratings are few and far between. This place earned it for outstandingly fresh food and prep. Great sandwich and salad. The prices are beyond reasonable. Great find.

Suze was great! Great smile and warm personality! She helped us order the right items based upon our preferences. The cappuccinos were tasty. Pancakes were small but good. Eggs were made right. This is a good breakfast spot, if you are close by.

I had a delicious Turkey Club the other day and really enjoyed it. Also, very very good choc. chip cookies. So good, I had to go back for another. It’s a little out of the way, but worth the walk compared to other places in the area. I’ve yet to try the coffee, but I hear it’s good.

First time checking out this place for lunch. I had the Italian roast coffee which was excellent. I also had a Greek panini. The bread was great but the chicken cutlet was thin and not filling at all for the price you pay. I will stick to getting just coffee. I guess that’s why it is called barista.

Five stars plus-this small but quaint bistro is simply lovely with incredible lattes. The breakfast croissant melted in my mouth. The food is made with love and the staff is simply happy– I mean if you are willing to take a short walk this is a place for the locals and tourists alike. Best breakfast so far in N.Y.

I really enjoy this place, particularly the breakfast. The Panini’s are tasty as well(The Greek and The Mexican are pretty good) but I feel like the breakfast is totally underated. It kind of puts most other egg and potato combinations to shame.

I give this place 4 stars mainly because of their awesome customer service and great coffee! No really, try their coffee and see for yourself. I go here almost every morning for breakfast and most afternoons mainly because its a short walk from ny job. The employees there were friendly from day one! I have tried their pancakes, omelettes, oh and for lunch, try their greek panini(very popular) but my favorite is the grilled chicken panini which comes with toasted panini bread swiss cheese grilled chicken and lettuce tomato. Simple yet delicious. The place is small with just one long rectangular table. Most people just come to pick up and take out food. Oh try their soups they have different ones made fresh daily. My personal favorite is cream of chicken and cream of mushroom. All lunch items are 5.99 ad most breakfast items are also 5.99. The coffee is great i actually got the name of it, its from a company called dallis bros and lacas coffee. Check them out too.

Ahhh, just what I needed: a very good(not exceptional, eg not stump town) cup of coffee. Tasty pastry. fresh squeezed OJ too. This place is a great find in fairly low traffic neighborhood.

When walking to this place I thought, «Really I’m walking this far for a panini?» But when I got there and tasted it, boy I’d take the trek again. Not only is the food good but the latte is spot on and décor is clean and modern with friendly prompt service to boot. Overall, a gem that I’d frequent for lunch. And there’s outdoor seating, but space is limited.

This is a neighborhood hidden gem! I live near by and I love stopping in here for lunch. As everyone says the staff is so friendly and the food is delicious! I normally get for lunch the chicken quesadilla(I’ve also had the vegetarian quesadilla) both are supper yummy. The panini’s are also wonderful. I’ve picked up breakfast a few times from here and got the French toast and a smoothie. It’s a small space in an industrial street but don’t let that fool you. Stop in and grab a bite you will be glad you did.

Barista Panini House not only offers excellent food, but amazing and stellar service that you can’t find in Manhattan! I was part of a wedding taking place around the corner at the Metropolitan Building. 1 bride, 2 mothers of the bride and groom, and 5 bridesmaids needed breakfast. I called BPH beforehand. They were able to send me an online menu. Over the next few days, as breakfast orders trickled in, I changed the order several time. Tino, one of the staff who works here, was incredibly patient and accommodating! Not only did he take our orders, but he offered to open the restaurant early so I could stop by and pick up our breakfast orders. WHAT? Let’s pause and reflect on that. Amazing! When I went to pick up the order, Tino was super friendly. The order was prepped and ready to go. Not only that, but it was raining(good luck on a wedding day!), and Tino helped me carry the large breakfast order to the Metropolitan Building because I couldn’t carry an umbrella and a bunch of DELICIOUS croissant ham and cheese paninis. AMAZING, AMAZING service. This is the type of restaurant that lives up to the hospitality aspect of the service industry. As for food, delicious. Fruit salad was fresh. I’d highly recommend the croissant paninis for breakfast(think buttery, flaky, but not greasy ham and egg cheese sandwiches). Cold brews were on point and kept us charged for a 7 hour ceremony and reception. I’d recommend this place to everyone.

The italian panini with olives is delicious along with the iced coffee. Only complaint is that their weekend hours are very limited for a coffee shop.

This little teensy café is annexed to the mommy and me class that I take my son to. We stopped in after class and before we went on to MOMAPS1. Food was terrific… panini was small, but flavorful. We ordered The Haven? I think that’s what It was called. My son loved the fresh squeezed OJ and the pancakes with powder sugar sprinkled over the browned tops. They give you a tiny salad with your panini. I ordered the avocado, milk, honey, green apples, mint smoothie which I loved. All in all, not a great location, but very good service and friendly service. I do rather like the oblong wooden table seating strangers together. Very biblical. Anyway, a star off for not having iced chai. Not being a coffee person since birth and on, Chai is my fix. :)

This small coffee/panini house has everything going for it. A coffee bar, baked yummy goodies, fruit smoothies, iced lattes, lots of panninis, quesadillas with fresh guac, wraps, tossed salads, breakfast sandwiches. I almost walked by his wonderful eatery. It’s in an industrial area but don’t let that fool you. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. They have a few tables outside and one long table inside. It’s small but worth a visit. After thinking about it, I upped the stars from four to five. I really had no complaints during lunch. Let me know how your experience was!
