Feels so good to be back in Cali and eating some of my favorite pizza again! The Tuscan Mushroom is my fav. And it didn’t disappoint as usual.

!!! I LOVETHEIRGLUTENFREECRUST. I’m not celiac or omit gluten in my diet but tried their GF crust cause of my celiac friend and fell in love. It’s super crunchy and slightly sweet cause of the tapioca base. If you want to try it, get a GF Napoli– it’s my FAVORITE. What I love about Zpizza is the chewy dough that’s just thin enough so you don’t feel bloated after. Sometimes when I want to be extra healthy I get the whole-wheat dough instead. The ingredients are all organic and fresh and I read online that it’s a 1⁄3 of the calories of normal pizza. That’s just enough healthy and guilt for me to keep coming back. I love this location since they have indoor and outdoor seating AND because you can treat yourself to yogurtland and afters ice cream which is right next door. I’ve also had it delivered and never had issues!

Slowest place to get some pizza. If I really wanted some fast pizza that taste just as good, I would have went to blaze.

Pizza mmm soo good. Always freshly baked fresh toppings. Thin slice pizza good portion. The wings are pretty good as well the cheese stick are good. Tried the carnitas and roasted tomatillo pizza ohh man that was good especially with some lime may be my favorite. Nice and simple seating area plenty of seats and a few outside. Plenty of parking even on busy days. Will be my go to place for the pizza urges. Recommended

Very clean restaurant, however the pizzas are kind of pricy(but still good). Mind as well go to CPK with just a few more bucks and getting a better dining experience. The seating is pretty limited and small, this works is a good take-out place. Very convent location, near the 7th street freeway exit ramp, CSULB, and VA hospital. Easy access to those who live in the marina Pacifica area. Again, I rather go to CPK which is right down PCH with a few spare bucks in my pocket. This place seems too pricy. Or just go to Deli News(next to target on bellflower & Stearns @ LB) as a good and REASONABLY priced take out pizza place. But Z pizza still deserves a good 5⁄5 stars despite the prices. :)

This place has the best vegan pizza. The cheese they use is really tasty and melts like real cheese. I also like that they have gluten free options.

I live right next door and it has literally been an hour since ordering two pizzas and they are still not here yet. Even called at the 50 minute mark and was told it was on its way. It’s a Wednesday night, not even a Friday or Saturday. Complete B.S. Update: pizza FINALLY arrives 1:04 after ordering and it is soggy. Thanks Z!!! Can I have a refund please?!?

My girlfriend and I order from this location at least once a week. We were searching for Gluten Free pizza since she has a gluten allergy. I went on the website to look at the GF options and the ham and pineapple came up. We ordered that religiously. My girlfriend noticed that she started feeling sick but we didn’t attribute it to the pizza since it was GF. We ordered from a location in Irvine last week. When I ordered our usual, the gentleman(and he was-I’ve found the employees at my regular location to be quite rude) informed me that the ham is not gluten free. I asked him if this was the case for all Zpizza locations. He said it was. It would have been nice if the people at the Bixby Village location to let us know that. They should also take that off the website as an option for Gluten Free. The service and pizza at this location is really hit or miss.

I’ve recently discovered that I have a gluten sensitivity and I wanted to explore local options that offer gluten-free pizza crusts. ZPizza popped up on Unilocal, and seemed like a great option. ZPizza offers gluten-free crusts, organic veggies and cheese, and preservative-free pepperoni, as well as a variety of salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, even take-and-bake pizzas for home. A couple Friday nights ago we ordered a large gluten-free pepperoni and a large gluten-free Tuscan Mushroom for pick-up. We had seen pictures of the burned crust from other Unilocalers, and when we brought our pizza home, sure enough, the outer crust edges were burnt black and inedible. The good news is that, once I ate around the blackened crust, the pizza itself was pretty good! The pepperoni was flavorful and I loved the sweetness of the caramelized onions and garlic sauce on the Tuscan(although my boyfriend said it was too sweet for him). I went back a couple weeks later, only to find that they were closed for construction on the sidewalk. Boo! Went to the 2nd Street location, and woohoo! That location does NOT burn its crust! Might end up going there instead from now on.

This place was great a long time ago. I think with the new management and staff, they totally effed up everything now. We would go there every Thursday for Casablanca pizza(we call it Casablanca day) and it was great! A few months ago I ordered Casablanca to go. When I opened the box, there was no ricotta cheese. I called them and asked and the girl said, «oh we are out of ricota cheese». Ricotta cheese is what makes the Casablanca special. It’s like ordering a pepperoni pizza without the pepperoni! And on top of that, it gave me a massive diarrhea! I told my coworker no more zpizza for me. Yesterday, my coworker talked me into giving it another shot. It wasn’t Casablanca day though. Sure enough, got another diarrhea. I don’t know what changes their ingredients or whatever. I am not for sure going back there ever again.

Just got off the phone with Sean, the acting manager for the night. After debating whether to order from 2nd Street or 7th Street locations, we went with this location. We placed an order online, we received our delivery about 40 minutes later, which was not what I ordered. I called to speak to someone. He(Sean) was very quick to point the finger at me. There must be something wrong with their website, I am not computer illiterate, I ordered half napoli, half santa fe, no other buttons were clicked, there website seemed easy enough to navigate. Somehow, it was ordered as a napoli without mozarella or tomato… why order the napoli in the first place if you take off the best ingredients??? Sean himself admitted that the order seemed strange… why not take a minute to call and confirm? Who wants a pizza with just basil on it? Seriously… Sean offered me a 10% off future purchase. I’m sorry, but I know I didn’t place the order wrong and since I own a business, I also know this is not an acceptable«I’m sorry» to a customer. They close at 9:30pm. I called at 8:45pm to get this resolved. I paid $ 28 for a pizza, in which half is wrong and Sean told me they wouldn’t even redeliver a correct pizza if I paid for it again — their driver was done for the night… at 8:45pm. OKAY. Brings up memories… I’ve ordered from this place before and had cold pizza delivered, but that was OK because I assumed they were doing their best. I will never again stop in or request delivery from this place. Customers are not appreciated here.

Free pizza?!? I’m down! zpizza underwent a change in ownership & to promote the pizza shop, the staff had a complimentary Pop-Up sampling event. Miriam, the general manager, put out a delicious spread of food for those lucky enough to stroll by. Festive balloons enticed people in for some free eats. Plenty of pizza on hand for sampling Cheese Pepperoni Napoli Sausage, wild mushroom & squash Being the first one there, I was welcomed with full slices to my delight Adding some of the delicious pili pili oil, which is olive oil infused for months with red pepper flakes, kicked thing up a notch. Now we’re talking! To make things healthy, fresh salads were being sampled, too Arugula Pear & gorgonzola Do I want some more? Why yes, don’t mind if I do ;p If complimentary food wasn’t enough, those that attended received a coupon for $ 5 off a delivery order of $ 25+ coupon & a coupon for a free small pizza! While eating, I was talking shop with an older woman who’s a fellow foodie like me. We conversed about some of our favorite SoCal haunts & her recent trips in & out of the US. She’s a big deal on TripAdvisor, but I encouraged her to give Unilocal a try by detailing all the fabulous events Unilocalers can attend. I think I swayed her to the dark side ;p Thanks, zpizza, for the gracious sampling you put on! I had fun trying your food & will definitely be back to redeem my free small pizza coupon.

Good pizza place, fast service, reliable for lunch. Ordered the veggie pizza and the sausage and mushroom, enjoyed both. I guess my only qualm is that I have nothing really in particular to say about it! Not an absolute must go, but a great option.

This review is based on the service I received. I was told this location had been closed for a little while and had just reopened. I was looking for something quick and easy for lunch with a friend whilst in this plaza and remembered that this was here. It was around 3pm and when we went in, we were the only customers. There were 4 people behind the counter. Two at the register, two preparing food. One of the girls was using her cell phone, completely oblivious to us, and the other girl was on the phone taking an order. My friend finally ordered her salad, but I stood there waiting for them to ask me what I wanted to eat, but instead of doing that, one of them proceeded to mess around with the thermal printer and the other one, her phone. While this was going on, the man preparing the salad was directly in front of us. He walked off and we could clearly hear him coughing. I left without food and my friend threw hers out. They need to hire more responsible people.

Via a recommendation I tried this place for lunch. I heard it was gluten free which is good cause I am eating healthy now. I purchased a slice of pizza and it was very flavorful and good. I got the veggie pizza, it’s too bad I didn’t get a photo of it because I was in a rush. I read somewhere that the pizza is often served burned but I didn’t have that bad luck. My slice was good, I wanted more but my diet limits me to one slice. Place is clean and service was good.

Zpizza is delicious gourmet pizza @ it’s best. I can’t rave enough enough. So much flavor and options it’s unbelievable. @ this particular location they will allow you do ½ one style and ½ style of choice which is awesome bc other locations does NOT allow this. It’s in the Ralph’s shopping center. I called an hour ahead @ 1pm and asked to pick up @ 2.(Right across St. From LB state). It was ready and still HOT and not burnt :) thank gosh. I was worried it would be. Ty for making my pizza NOT burnt. Customer service– awesome! Young pretty girl who helped me & I even tipped $ 1. I ordered: Large ½ Tucson mushroom & ½ Mexican & wow’za. Yummmy I will go back again for sure most likely this location.

Please open the box and make sure your $ 20 pizza is not burnt — they told me on the phone they could do a new delivery but they need to exchange the pizza… that’s funny. as in take this one — we have 3 kids — and they are organic and on the side of the box it says please recycle. more than 25,000 people die from hunger every day on this planet — and they want to take this pizza, which is 75% OK… and by law they must throw it away. so — how about a method to allow us to eat the good part and make the bad experience better. $ 8 off a future order would have been fine… The rest of the pizza is great. We got the Mexican Pizza minus the meat. pretty amazing and totally not burnt. I worked at a pizza place back east. you simply never sent out burnt pizza as a pizza boy — we were too proud to turn out burnt pizza. hey guys — you should do the same.

Delicious pizza. Fresh veggies. Healthy alternative to other pizza chains. A bit pricy, but to get healthy food it’s worth it.
