This place is quiet and low key. Nice environment, and the staff seems friendly. Two regular small coffees and a Mexican Mocha. The coffees came out decent but the Mexican Mocha took at least 15 minutes for it. Slow. It’s okay I guess since we weren’t in a rush to do anything. I can only imagine if someone was in a hurry. Otherwise 3⁄5

Delicious blended beverages and cranberry bagel w/cream cheese. This place looks cozy. I can’t wait to come and bring a book.

In love with this place. Sweet baristas, excellent coffee, amazing vibe. I didn’t think this was a typical pretentious hipster coffeeshop — everyone is welcome here. From musicians wearing charcoal hoodies to business/techie types to young moms having intimate conversations to broke writers wearing carnation pink pants like myself: if you want a place to break for a Mexican-inspired espresso drink, you belong. Whoever owns this place has a generous spirit. The blended noncaffeinated drinks are delicious as well. I got the«PBO,» the Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal,” smoothie. It was filling and healthy and scrumptious. I would be the most annoying customer and spend time here every day if I lived in Long Beach.

Parking on a Sunday was easy and close. I went in and ordered a Moroccan mint iced tea. The drink was refreshing, and I spent some time studying the art work on the walls. Like most coffee shops, there were many different kinds of people present — kids studying, friends talking, people on dates, etc. They close early(6pm) on Sunday, which seems weird, but it’s not my business. I wasn’t ready to leave, but I got kicked out. I should have paid more attention to the hours on Unilocal

Nice hipster coffeehouse atmosphere inside. Slow-moving line, but it is what it is on a weekend afternoon. The Mexican mocha was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I don’t like my coffee with a lot of sugar, so my bad. My husband had a mango smoothie that was fresh and simple. Parking’s not too bad in the area.

What a wonderful coffee shop to spend an afternoon in. Such a gorgeous, rustic, eclectic large open space. Funky art and good background music. Highly recommend the Mexican Mocha, blended. It’s an irresistible mouthwatering combination of what tastes like a hot chocolate, horchata, and a frappuccino blended together with ice. Also really enjoyed their yerba mate tea, iced! Herbal, earthy, full-bodied bitterness. Good with a dash of simple syrup. If you’re in the mood for a bite, their«The Love» bagel sandwich is my new obsession. I know I sound totally cliché right now but hear me out. It’s completely vegetarian(dare I say, vegan? Not sure because the cream cheese they used was so decadent) but is packed with robust flavor. It comes with a generous helping of fresh spinach, sundried tomatoes, and thin-sliced cucumber. Refreshing, flavorful, and delicious. It was the perfect pick-me-up mid day snack and wholesome fuel for my workout later. Two things… 1) There is NO air conditioning. I repeat, no A.C. It’s probably best to come during the cooler months, or earlier/later hours of the day. It gets sweltering during a hot afternoon. 2) Extensive menu even for non-coffee lovers. Think smoothies, coffee-free blended drinks, coconut juice by the bottle.

Found this coffee shop when I realized I was not being productive in my apartment. Parking wasn’t too hard to find. Plenty of space. Ordered their mexican mocha. Servers were very accommodating in cutting the amount of sugar in half. It didn’t impress me as much as it kinda tasted watered down. Medium priced. Music isn’t too loud. I appreciate that there are two sides to this place. One area has lounges and sofa which is meant for people who would like to chat, while the other side has tables and chairs meant for studying. The noise level is not too high. Great place to study. I would definitely come back, but I’d try something else to drink.

Walking distance from my apartment. My boyfriend and I order bagel sandwiches mine was a plain bagel with vegan cream cheese, spinach, tomato, lemon pepper and avocado. Try it out for yourself, they won’t disappoint. I love that they open early for people on there way to work, but if you go on your day off, you will enjoy the comfortable furniture. Can’t wait to go back and try there vegan muffins and/or cookies

I give it a B– I like the actual design and feel of the coffee shop. There is plenty of space and there’s a retro hipster feel to it. The staff are also very nice. The actual coffee was just ok. I ordered a 16oz iced chai($ 4) and an iced Americano(1 shot) with hazelnut($ 4). It was a little disappointed with the size of the drinks as they were quite small. I got the medium size so I can’t imagine how tiny the small size would be. And $ 4 for that size seemed a bit steep. I would have overlooked the size of the coffee was great but again, it wasn’t anything that stood out for me personally.

I visited this coffee shop for the first time recently and my experience was poor. I had very high hopes. I wanted to fall in love with this place – I really did. I even planned my visit here. I was very much let down. I waited in line for several minutes(I was the only person in line) with no greeting from the employees. I was clearly unfamiliar with their menu and I was taking a bit of time to read it through. At this point, I would usually take any suggestions from the baristas based on what they know is most popular instead of reading the entire menu. But of course, nobody offered. Upon ordering, my first choice the Mexican Mocha over ice. The man at the register told me they were out of the powder and I could either have it hot or blended. So I ordered the double hot latte version. Not what I wanted, but I’ll work with you guys. I also ordered«The Love» sandwich and then the guy told me they were out of everything except a couple of things. I was slightly annoyed at this point but I ordered one of the things they had left to eat. I was hungry. When my drink was called out, it was warm – not hot. The taste was okay, maybe not the drink for me. When I sat at my table(which still had old drinks on it from a previous person) I sipped on my latte and waited for my food. Just as I was about to get up to ask about the bagel, the guy from the register brought it to me on a plate and set it down. I said, «Thank you very much.» I thought it was nice of them to bring it, I’m not familiar with the protocol here so I’m not sure if I was supposed to pick it up. The guy didn’t say a single word to me. Not«You’re welcome» or «Enjoy» or «Here’s your bagel.» Just absolutely nothing. He simply walked away. I must say, this was the strangest experience I’ve had at a coffee shop. It wasn’t only rude, it was like… contemptuous. Not only were they out of the two things that I ordered, the service was poor to boot. I guess I need to be a regular to get good service here from what I’ve read on Unilocal. There are so many independent coffee shops in Long Beach, and I love supporting independent business, but this place just didn’t seem to appreciate MY business. I’d like to say I’ll give this place another shot but I’m seriously doubtful.

I am in love with this coffee shop! Cozy, intimate, and warm. A perfect study spot or a great place to stop by and catch up with friends. Lots of tables and comfy couches so settle down in. Although I came to study(free WIFI!) I could also probably sit here all day people watching and looking at the art work on the walls. The owners and workers are all extremely nice and overhearing conversations there are a lot of regulars that come into the café. Definitely a family environment. The coffee here is delicious — I got a double latte each time and it came with pretty latte art. Also, the food looks and smells awesome too! Bagels and sandwiches that are picture perfect. If you’re looking for Instagram worthy coffee and food photos, come here. While I was here Sunday morning, there was a jazz band that started playing at noon. The best study music vibes you can have, I would come early to save yourself a spot because it does get pretty busy! Also to snag some good parking since it is all street parking. Come here if you like: jazz, coffee, bagels, art, and good vibes.

Interesting cozy coffee shop in long beach. From a quick drive-by with the gangstas(totally kidding, don’t punch me) it looks like another bar. And If you stood out in front… It still looks like a another bar. Now… If you poke your head in, you’ll start to notice(hipster) people on their laptops, the nose rings, and hey, coffee and sandwiches. It’s a flipping coffee shop with interesting décor, slightly mind blown! I decided to try out the vanilla lavender just cause the owner said its their favorite. Right off the bat, I noticed it was the cheapest drink. Kudos for an owner not trying to push their most expensive drink. The vanilla lavender shake(with your choice of dairy) is light, refreshing, and leaves a slight hint of lavender on your tongue. Quite intriguing. The ambiance of this place is too relaxed and mellow for me(I don’t know how to explain it, maybe I shouldn’t of went in all decked out in bright Nike clothes/shoes), but the drink is affordable and refreshing. P. s. There isn’t actually an art gallery in here but interesting décor.

This is a great small little café. My GF and I went on a rainy night for some hot chocolate and a cappuccino and to our surprise it was their open mic night. It was a really fun time just sitting back listening to the musician perform. The staff their is really friendly and made our drinks relatively quickly. The drinks were really good as well. The cafes décor on is also very unique and gives a really cool ambiance to the café. Will definitely be going back in the future, Highly recommended!

I can’t believe I paid $ 5 for a SMALL mocha. There was nothing special about it. It tasted so-so. This place is definitely trendy and attracts a very specific crowd. It’s a textbook«hipster hangout» but not the quirky fun kind, the pretentious kind. The kind where you’re side eyed for not carrying a book of an obscure Russian author and not getting cashew milk in your drink. There are sooo many unique coffee shops in Long Beach to chose from, I prefer not to go to one that capitalizes on trendiness to jack up the prices.

Some of the best coffee I have had in a while! I opted for their coffee of the day and drank it black(which I don’t usually do) and it was EXCELLENT– no need to Doctor up their already great cup of coffee. My friend ordered their Mexican mocha which was very tasty as well. To top off the great coffee was their great customer service. We were acknowledged immediately, even though they couldn’t take our order right away. Once they did, both employees were incredibly friendly! As for the ambiance– this place has great vibes! Their artwork and collection of skeleton pieces are all very unique. You can enjoy all their art from the comfort of one of their many love seats and sofas! Definitely going back to this coffee shop!

I love any coffee shops that has glass windows, plenty of tables/outlets, and serves Mexican Mocha! I’ve studied here a few times now and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my food and drinks. I love that it doesn’t get too loud because I usually go there to study. If you want to chat with friends, one side of the room has comfortable sofas and couches for that purpose. All the drinks that I’ve tried are solid — Mexican Mocha, Iced Chai Latte, and their teas. Their«The Love» sandwich was pretty good too. even though I’m not a fan of spinach. Street parking is free all day(except for street cleaning) so that’s ALWAYS a plus for me.

I love, love, love Mexican Hot Chocolate! So of course I jumped at the chance to try the Mexican Mocha here after my sister raved about how tasty it was. Considering she doesn’t drink coffee. I had to pop in and check them out. Turns out, she wasn’t wrong. This here is a hidden, funky little gem in a treasure trove of coffee shops that happen to line most of 4th St! The vibe is laid back and mellow. There is usually an open mic night, or some sort of music act going on, but it still maintains a low key atmosphere. Ideal for getting my study on when I want to take a break from my local Starbucks(which is happening more and more often nowadays!) The menu screams unqiueness, and the drinks are tasty, and have their own funky flavas. I love that they serve mexican mocha and the horchata smoothie as those are some of my regular favorite drinks when I hit up a Mexican resturant, or my aunts at Christmas(mexican cocoa goes wonderful with tamales). Service is super efficient, and quick. I haven’t had any issues with them getting my orders wrong, no matter how busy they are. The staff is friendly and helpful too! My first trip I was overwhelmed and the girl helped me settle on something other than the mocha to try first(the horchata smoothie). Which was awesome. They’re often sold out of their bagels, as they’re quite popular, so I’ve yet to taste one. They also provide electricity and WiFi for their customers to plug into. All they ask is that you purchase a drink firsy. Anyhow, the only thing that the line sometimes gets hella long, and even with the quick service, sometimes you will wait upwards of 20 minutes for your beverage of choice. Parking is the same as the rest of 4th St, so start looking a few blocks before you get here, otherwise you might end up doing circles. I’d definitely recommend Viento y Agua to anyone looking to enjoy a delicious Mexican Mocha, that’s made right, or a funky new treat! Great service, excellent drinks, free WiFi! Score!
