This place is awesome!!! Read the reviews before locating it, and my brother and I drove in from out of town to get 5 different boba milk teas. We arrived a minute before closing time, but the attendant graciously waited and held the door open for us. The boba was delicious — had the taro coconut, mango, peach, and 2x strawberry/banana. We loved it. Definitely recommend.

The customer service here is awesome. The girls who have helped me are always friendly and welcoming. Love the teas here and the waffle sandwiches are so light and fluffy. The décor is simple and cute. Definitely a nice place to relax for a break.

My matcha green tea over ice is more milky flavored than it is matcha. So I would say they are pretty stingy with the matcha powder. I don’t think it was ethical for me to pay that much for my matcha drink. The iced coffee is watery. It took a while to make two simple drinks. The employee had my friend poor his own milk in his iced coffee. I understand she didn’t want to make a mistake but isn’t there some paper with instructions in the kitchen to follow on how to make basic iced coffee. I don’t see a lit self-service sign, like the ones you see at target check-outs. I give it two stars overall. One for existing and another because the cashier was polite and let me post a Beat Jerkeez dance audition flyer(btw, there is no harm in checking out our facebook page for more details about auditions and workshop: ) I take back the two stars because I need to use the restroom and I see none for customers. This is a place that serves FOOD/BEVERAGES. I’m sure Thirstea Corner is not following rules. What law-breakers…

I previously wrote a glowing review for this place but today it was just not doing I for me :/ The biggest issue for me was the greasiness. First time i came here the waffle was buttery and flaky. But now it tasted greasy. It was pretty dissatisfying. Ordered the same sandwich I initially fell in love with — turkey bacon Swiss and everything just tasted off. The waffle tasted kinda greasy which just made me not want it anymore. I ate half and i didn’t even want to touch my second half. The turkey was salty and was so oddly soft I could barely discern it from the cheese. The bacon was still okay. I dunno. I don’t think I’d come here again for the food but the Thai tea was still surprisingly satisfying. So for that reason they can stay at 3 stars, but just barely.

Ok what happened to the place? Did they change owners or management? The girls here working are yelling thru the place, cussing and throwing stuff at each other. Phoned in my order and still waited 15 minutes plus for my 3 drinks which were made wrong. And it just isn’t the same. Don’t think I’ll be coming back. It use to be my Tuesday regular after picking my son up from school. No more.

Coffee shop that is open mostly during the weekdays. They have coffee drinks hot and cold, tea, ice blended drinks and add one such as boba and aloe. Along with drinks they have sandwiches with a wafflebread and waffle desserts. My review is just on their boba drinks. They have fruit flavored drinks, ice blended coffee, and milk teas. The boba consistency was that perfect chewy and I played safe getting a ice blended mocha. It was good but I feel that other places have more flavors. My drink cost $ 4.50for a 16oz.

The Thai tea blend was really good. The man at the front taking orders was really helpful. He suggested that we try the aroz con leche, talk about being mind blown. Both of the drinks we had were really good. We have found a new watering hole, now we don’t have to drive out to Cerritos to h20

I’m not sure how this place gets such high ratings. I tried the horchata blended drink on my first visit and thought it was just ok. I decided to give it another try since it’s close to my work and I was craving a boba drink. Second time was actually worse. I got an almond milk tea with boba but the boba was way too soft and the drink itself was too milky for my preference. This place has decent selection of coffee drinks but selection of milk teas and flavored teas is very limited compared to other tea places. I’m still giving three stars because service was fine and price is very reasonable. $ 3.50 for a milk tea with boba is pretty good. This place can also adjust the sweetness of your drinks. Maybe I didn’t order the right stuff but there was nothing on the menu that looked all that interesting.

Amazing service and really good boba! I just happened to be on Unilocal and found this awesome place. The guy behind the counter made an awesome suggestion and he was so right… the horchata with boba is fu#!ing delicious. I will be back soon to try some waffle sandwiches. Thanks!

Pros: Good food! Quiet. Cons: Not always open on weekends. If you don’t like tea the drink selection is small. Thirstea is a small café that serves a small selection of lunch food and teas. The sandwiches are waffle-style. I did not know this when I came. I was thinking they were regular breakfast waffles and did not understand the craze led by Bruxie, a competitor. But since that was what dominated the menu, I decided to give it a try. It was great! The waffles are not your typical breakfast waffle, but light, airy, more like a croissant. I’m already planning to come again. I also had a sea salt green tea, and it was on par with some of the Asian tea houses like 85 Degrees. It does come in a plastic container with a lid and straw hole, so you can’t shake the drink in order to disperse the cream. But that’s a small worry. Just open the lid and stir with your straw. They do have a reasonable selection of teas, but if you don’t like tea, you’ll have to make do with water, Diet Coke/Coke, or coffee(I think… someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think I remember some coffees on the menu). It didn’t look like they had a soda dispenser, and the Coke was from a glass door refrigerator with cans inside. They are not always open on weekends!!! Their sign says«maybe» on Sat., and closed on Sun. If they were open on Sat. I definitely would be around more often. As it stands if you aren’t in the area during the day you have to eat dinner there or take your chances on Sat.

Great little coffee shop with yummy sandwiches and other drinks. First time in there yesterday 6÷5÷15 and I’ll be back. I only stopped by to get a horchata frapp with vanilla icecream and boba! Sounds amazingly weird but tastes so good. The owner was there and he was super nice. Giving 4 stars because I haven’t tried anything else yet but I’ll be back to try some more.

I love tea/boba & I live near the land of boba! I was going out towards Long Beach and was in search of a place; this place came up on Unilocal. One of my favorites is iced green tea with sea foam, and the staff kindly added caramel at my request. Bonus! This was towards the end of the day, almost towards closing, and I had commented on a strawberry(?) pastry that was alone. The guy helping me so kindly warmed it up, and gave it to us! It made my day, and it was quite good too! Friendly staff. Good tea. Enjoy :)

Not only are the teas and the sandwiches FABULOUS, the customer service here is second-to-none. I just stopped by for lunch and the gentleman who helped me was kind and sweet and very down-to-earth. The chicken, cheese and jalapeño waffle sandwich was so good! Just the right amount of spicy. And the Thai tea was super yummy. I will definitely be back!

I decided to come here one morning for an acai bowl. I got here right when it opened at 8:30AM. I wish they could open earlier so I can make it to work on time. but whatever, lol. I ordered my acai bowl, which was pretty good! It was topped off with fruit and granola. The guy who made it for me apologized for not making it as «pretty»(because it wasn’t very purply! not enough blueberries that day) But it was still very good! I was impressed by the menu, not only do they have acai bowls but also drinks, and also waffle sandwiches! I would like to try them one day. Service was friendly! Thanks!

Okay, I never got the chance to review this place one last time. This is the last time because I don’t think I’ll change my opinion about it anymore. This is my favorite place to grab a bite by school. It’s a walk away and the staff is very friendly. They recognize their regulars too. I like stopping by when it’s not busy or crowded. I’ve brought a lot of friends to this place just cause I like it so much. And they end up really liking it too! I haven’t gone in a while just cause I haven’t found the time but I’m definitely coming by again so. I’m craving their delicious turkey, bacon, swiss sandwich!

Unilocal This place is beyond delicious! Me and my boyfriend came here looking for some boba and a quick bite. The place is small, but too bomb. I got a Thai Iced Tea with boba and coffee jelly, and the Jalapeño, Cheese and Chicken sandwich. My boyfriend got a black tea with lots of honey and a Turkey, Bacon Swiss. We both greatly enjoyed our meals. The Sandwiches were so good! The bread itself is a super flaky waffle and just too delicious. It is a little pricey, but hardly. If the sandwiches were $ 2 more I wouldn’t go, but they’re not so no worries. We will definitely be back!

Amazing and fresh acai bowls. *hint* I like to ask for a large! It’s worth it! Fresh blueberries, strawberries, bananas, and blackberries. With a deliciously sweet granola on top and bottom. Then there is their waffle pressed sandwhich. I’ve only tried the turkey, bacon, and swiss, but it’s amazing. The incredibly flaky bread with juicy turkey, crisp bacon and melted swiss cheese, along with a spinach and lettuce mixture, is just what your taste buds are asking for! Mmmm

I honestly wasn’t expecting much from Thirstea, since this area isn’t exactly known for boba. But sometimes I just crave it, you know? It’s located walking distance from one of the LBCC campuses, so it’s perfect for getting a drink, snack, or lunch in between classes. However, parking is a little difficult if you’re going directly there. Taro milk tea + boba($ 3.50): good flavor, I was pleasantly surprised by this drink. ~ 4⁄5 Passionfruit tea + boba($ 3.50): Eh… tasted watered down. Not much of a fan. ~ 2⁄5 The boba itself is nothing to write home about. Next time if I get a drink here I will probably skip the boba since it’s an extra $ 0.50 and it’s not honey boba. Bring cash, unless you want to get a $ 0.35 charge on your card for a less than $ 10 order. Drinks: 3, Service: 4, Environment: 4, Price: 3

The drinks here are decent and the service is good. I recommend coming here for a quick drink or even for lunch. DRINKS I’ve had a couple of their teas and they have been tasty but not overly sweet. I still haven’t tried any of their other drinks though. FOOD I have only tried their Chicken Jalepeno waffle sandwich. I thought this was pretty good. The waffle that they use isn’t your standard waffle. It’s a little lighter in color and thicker/tougher in consistency. The best way I can describe it is that it is somewhat similar to those Chinese empanada-like pastries. It’s more like the second layer of that type of pastry(since the waffle isn’t flakey) if that makes sense. Alright, I give up. Go and try it for yourself, haha. SERVICE Pleasant and friendly. PARKING Street and lot in the rear.
