This place is okay… I find the waffles too sweet for the savory flavors they have… and the one lady at the front is a little weird… I know having good customer service is good… but yeah… i don’t know if I’ll go back. I think bruxies might be a better

I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical about this place. I drive by it almost every day when I’m headed home from work. Seeing it from the outside, it’s really nothing special, basically like an old burger joint cleaned up a bit. I trusted the reviews I read on Unilocal, and am I glad I did. This was one good sandwich. As soon as I walked in the door, the young lady behind the counter greeted me with a big smile and was super nice. I looked around and noticed there was only one other person in there around lunch and thought«oh great, it’s gonna be bad.» I asked her about what’s good and popular, she recommended the Bulgogi Sandwich so that’s what I ordered. They have a nice little notebook right on the counter where you order with pictures of all their sandwiches and other items. After ordering, I spotted me a picture of the Banana Nutella Waffle, and just had to order that as well. I was with another guy from work so we figured we’d split half he sandwich and half the banana Nutella waffle. It wasn’t a long wait at all, the food was served up quick which is always nice. The sandwich was super good, the bulgogi was flavorful, and the sandwich also had lettuce, tomato, cucumber, yellow peppers, avocado and a nice pesto mayonnaise dressing on it. The young lady also suggested and gave me a sauce that was I think maple syrup and some heat! Not sure what it was but it was spicy and sweet, sooooo good. The waffle was cooked perfectly, warm and soft with just a bit of a crunch to it. I devoured the sandwich in no time. The banana Nutella waffle was good too, although I probably would not get again, even though it was good, it wasn’t anything special, I would suggest asking for extra Nutella if you’re going to order it. This place was definitely worthy of going back and trying some of their other goodies. They have a pretty big selection of sandwiches as well as desert type waffles and breakfast sandwiches as well. Definitely the real deal here. So if you’re like me and keep passing by wondering, just stop in and give it a try, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Good food, super friendly service!

So cheap and delicious. The owner is super friendly and has thrown in free stuff and samples, and the rest of the staff is cool. The pastrami and the Southern pork are great. Spicy syrup!

This place is a huge rip off. Sorry guys, I can make a better tasting burger in my own four walls and slap an EGGO on it and it would taste better than what I had here. My“burger” came with fries and a drink all for Twelve bucks including tax… wow. Don’t get me started… the burger was as thick as a STRAW and severely overcooked the waffle was so hard that it scraped the roof of my mouth and when i tapped it on the table it was hard as a rock. Maybe I went on a bad day but honestly… I don’t want to come again just to see if it was a fluke as the staff had an attitude for every question asked as well. Ew.

Tried this place for lunch at work. Wanted something other then burgers or tacos. I stumbled onto this place while looking for another. I was«Qrious» so I checked it out. The place uses light waffles in place of bread. The owner tod me it’s healthy. I tried the bulgogi club. Of course anything with avocado is great. It was different but grew on me great flavor from the beef. Nice portion and after I ate it I didn’t feel nasty. One of the great little gems in long beach. If your Qrious check it out.

The owner is rude to not only his employees, but costumers as well. The food is nothing special for the price either, so don’t expect anything healthy or tasty. Basically if you want food that’s as bad as McDonald’s, and be treated like dirt by employees dine here, but don’t fool yourself into thinking that their stored garbage is any better for you than fast food.

Very good food at a reasonable price. We got the ABC omelette waffle, strawberry banana nutella waffle, and the bulgogi fries. Everything was filling and delicious, service was quick and generous, would definitrly come back! :D

What else can I say about this place that hasn’t already been said? Well all you need to know is WAFFLE anything. Everything about this waffle is just delectable, the light flaky texture, the perfect crunch, the taste, it’s just bomb. So far I’ve tried the: $ 6 burger combo, which comes out to $ 9.70 if you add cheese, bacon, and avocado like I did. The breakfast with waffle, two egg, two bacon, two sausage, fruit, and potatoes for under $ 8. Both items get a perfect 5 star from me. I’ve only gone here on weekday mornings and both times I was the only patron in the restaurant. I like the fact that it’s set up like a fast food place where you order up front and then you just wait for your food to be ready yet all your food is made fresh to order. I’m looking forward to coming and trying the berry waffles and the omelets next.

After driving past this place several times I decided to check it out for lunch today. They use lightly cooked waffles as «bread» for their sandwiches and it made for a delightfully interesting flavor that complimented the savory sauce of the beef in the Bulgogi Club I ordered. Topped with avocado, bacon and yellow banana peppers, all the flavors blended well together and I wasn’t left feeling bloated when done. They also offer delicious looking desert options, which I had to pass on due to lack of time. I will definitely be coming back to sample their other meal options, and of course those yummy looking desserts!

If you like Bruxie, you have to try this place. Food: I ordered a bulgogi waffle sandwich and my friends ordered the deluxe cheeseburger sandwich and hamburger sandwich along with chili fries. We all loved the food. It was tasty, fresh, looked great, and we can’t wait to try more of their many kinds of sandwiches. Atmosphere: this is more of a fast food style place, but even though the tables were plastic and the windows had bars, everything was clean, bright, and welcoming. Don’t come expecting a tablecloth place, but also don’t worry about paying for one. Service: ‘Helen’, who appeared to be in her twenties, gave us exceptional service, especially for the fast food prices, and downtown location. She was friendly, helpful, brought the food straight to our table and even provided us with extra seasoning salt and sauces without being asked. We were blown away by how friendly and welcoming the service was here. Tips: we definitely left some, because Helen deserved it. I almost couldn’t finish the huge waffle sandwich I had ordered, so the $ 8 it cost was no big deal. My friend got a waffle sandwich/burger, fries and a drink for under $ 6. Great prices, considering the clean atmosphere and excellent service.

Omg can I give this place more than 5 stars please?! Service: fantastic! The girls who greeted and serve us were so welcoming, funny, and helpful. They made us laugh the whole time we were there. Even the owner was there smiling and asking if everything was okay. They made my day with their kindness. Food: DELICIOUS — charboiled bulgogi waffle sandwich $ 9.99: get the double waffle, it’s only two dollar more for twice the amount! The sandwich was perfectly fused with Korean influence. The bulgogi was sweet and tender. The bacon added some saltiness and crunch. The waffle itself was soft with a hint of sweetness. The blend was wonderful. — the burger special $ 5.99: this sandwich was okay compared to the other but still good! The meat was tender and juicy. Came with fries and a drink! Such a great deal — waffle fries: can’t go wrong with these, wish they had a little seasoning but that’s just me. Venue and price: the place is located in the hood but the inside was clean and had about six tables. No complaints here. The price was very affordable, borderline cheap. Love it! Overall, I am extremely happy to find this place. It was delicious, price was generous, workers were awesome! I’ll definitely be back. I’d chose this over bruxies any day.

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this hidden gem cause we are so hungry. We Unilocaled the nearest place and luckily it pops out. This place looks like regular fast food joint from the outside, but when we went inside, the server Kelly greeted us with a positive smile. I like the first impression for sure! She showed us some food pictures of their menus and it looks so appetizing. Every single one of their sandwiches are served on a waffle(so unique and very creative). I finally decided what to get cause their so many delectable choices that it made my mouth water by just seeing the pictures Kelly showed. I ordered their pastrami sandwich and my girlfriend ordered their fried chicken with syrup and coleslaw waffle sandwich. I know it has a name, but can’t remember it lol. We ordered their banana nutella waffle sandwich and their berry frozen yogurt for dessert. We sit down for dinning then Kelly served us our orders for just 10 minutes tops. It was fast! Finally I tried my pastrami sandwich and it was soooo gooood! Their large sandwich order consist of 4 waffle sandwiches so my girl and I switch 2 so we can try it both. Back in the pastrami… It was tender and flavorful. The waffle bread makes a lot of difference because it added crispiness to an already great sandwich. The chicken waffle sandwich has a little spiciness on it due to the fact it has sriracha syrup sauce in it. The chicken was so tender and the coleslaw just cooled that heat off. The nutella banana waffle sandwich is what I expected to be. Anything with nutella on it, is already awesome! The berry frozen yogurt is just perfect! Not too overwhelming sweet, but you can actually taste the berry in it. Overall this place is superb! I will definitely comeback and I will invite bunch of my friends as well. Really good for recommendations :) PS: Shout out to Kelly. Thank you so much for your service :)

Just had a late lunch here and oh my goodness I am blown away by this place. To be very honest I am usually pretty skeptical of chicken-and-waffle type joints. I feel like they can always get away with compromising the quality of their food just because of the novelty of what they’re doing. For example, their food can be totally greasy, messy, hard to eat, stale, or flavorless, but people will still flock to these restaurants simply because the food there is FUN There’s none of that BS here. Even the chili cheese waffle-cut fries we ordered were deep-fried AFTER we ordered and came out soft and crispy, not at all stale like your typical fries that have been sitting out all day. Apparently we missed the Saturday afternoon rush. We were told that hungover people love having a late breakfast here. Very extensive menu and looks like they have really amazing breakfast options. Grateful for the pictures for reference. I’d like to come back and try the waffles with powdered sugar and fresh berries sometime. It was our first time here and we were overwhelmed by the choices. The cashier(Ellen) was a total sweetheart and so helpful; she helped us decide what to get. She’s also super funny and easy to talk to, and as if the food wasn’t fantastic enough on its own, she made our experience at Qrious Palate very enjoyable. I wouldn’t exactly say this place counts as «Korean fusion». Qrious Palate = Bruxie(with your buffalo chicken options and pulled pork, etc) with a hint of Korean goodness. I saw that they had a Galbi + rice/salad lunch plate option which sounded really good too. The place itself is very very casual and not very big, like a little retro burger joint, but it’s clean and the people who work here are so nice. We tried the BULGOGIWAFFLESANDWICH and the CHICKENCLUBWAFFLESANDWICH. Both were freakin’ amazing. Let me break it down for ya– — the waffle is fresh made. Again, no stale, been-sitting-out-all-day food here. It’s soft, warm, flavorful and easy to bite into. — bulgogi was tasty and authentic. it’s served in thin, manageable pieces that somehow allow enough room in the waffle sandwich for lettuce, tomatoes, hot yellow peppers, and a very tasty sauce. It comes together perfectly. They really got it right. — fried chicken was fresh, juicy, aromatic. None of the ingredients hide behind each other– everything is fresh-made and solid even on its own. Served with the most subtle ounce of spicy maple syrup and some refreshing cole slaw. — somehow the sandwiches stay intact from your first bite to your last. You guys are amazing. Definitely coming back soon. Move over, Bruxie.

Now, for my 300th review… a look inside one of Long Beach’s upcoming restaurant, Qrious Palate! Mind you that I have never tried bulgogi until I ventured into this place! Bulgogi, or grilled marinated beef, was something that I had for a long while wanted to try. Now I have heard much rave about Qrious Palate. Being that I am in Long Beach quite often, I figured that it was long overdue to finally step into this place. The menu has a similar concept to Bruxie– everything is based on a waffle concept. The waffles here aren’t like the ones they use at Bruxie, but they are just as tasty. They even have sweets that you can enjoy. I had the chance to try their banana nutella waffle. Very filling enough for one, but shareable for two. But, for the eats… I had their bulgogi waffle, which is by far one of their best selling dishes. Packed inside a Belgian waffle, it also boasts yellow peppers, lettuce and ranch dressing which gave it quite the taste! My +1 had the chicken club waffle sandwich. The service here is just amazing. They do have plenty of indoor as well as outdoor seating. They have much to choose from– from buffalo waffle to Panini waffle to vegetarian waffle– the concept of the waffle here is just too much to describe. You have to try it to believe it! Now the question is– Would I return? Being that I am a waffle freak, yes. Yes I will!

****Bulgogi and Waffles and Avocado!!**** Once again, the Korean spin on a dish, a «Belgian» waffle, contributes to the progressive foodie movement. Every year, food just gets better and better! This small shop offers ample seating and easy parking. Customer service offers a family vibe. A flat screen TV offers a living room coziness. Top that with some good food and you have a place that Nick Has is a fan of! ~Bulgogi Waffles-4 Stars! They make these waffles fresh. They make these waffles fast. They add in some flavorful Bulgogi and create a savory dessert with a bonus. The bonus is a grip load of super fresh, ripe and delicious avocado. Yup, waffle, Bulgogi and avocado. They menu offers many items. I did come for the chicken and waffle but I saw this and had to get it. Qurious Pallette is helping the foodie movement evolve with this great dish! I am a fan!

This place is better than Bruxie! Why? Because there are a lot more options of waffle sandwiches with breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert options, more sides, it’s cheaper, bigger portions and it’s not crowded here. You will get your money’s worth and more! The workers here are so nice! They helped us with picking our meal and we end up getting the bulgogi club waffle(4 pieces), denver omelet waffle(2 pieces and it came with potatoes and fruit) and buffalo chicken fries. All of those were delicious and full of flavor. And BIG portions! We were pretty stuffed. They also have spicy mayo, sriracha sauce, and their spicy syrup as condiments. I will definitely come back here for my waffle cravings!

Love this place! It reminds me of bruxies but it offers way more choices. The cashier was very helpful in helping us decide what to get since it was our first time at the place. We ended up getting the bulgogi club, waffle fries, and the crispy chicken. I loved both! The waffle wasn’t too hard it was perfectly cooked and the meat was perfect. If you are a waffle fan, I definitely recommend trying this place out as a change from bruxies.

My friend raves about this place so my best friend and I wanted to try it. Came in on a Sunday a little after 12pm and the place was completely empty aside from the workers. No biggie it just means we could take our time browsing the menu and more attention for us, Yay! If you’ve ever been to Bruxie in OC then you’ll be familiar with the waffle sandwich. But this location(has no ties to Bruxie) is the cheaper alternative with a lot more options to choose from. Best ordered off the breakfast section which btw is served all day. He had the STEAKANDEGGWAFFLE($ 7.75) which consisted of steak, eggs, and pesto sauce inside a crispy waffle. BF said he enjoyed his sandwich and I had a bite and it was good but the steak was a little chewy and had some fat pieces 3 ½ stars I ordered the QRIOUSCHICKENCLUBWAFFLE($ 9.95) and it was crispy chicken pieces with avocado, bacon, coleslaw, and spicy syrup inside of a crispy waffle. this was pretty good but was missing something I can’t quite put my finger on it. I think they needed to add a bit more spicy syrup. 4 stars *The waffle on both sandwiches were perfectly and evenly crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Customer service was excellent. Workers were very helpful with sandwich selections and recommended a lot of options. Water was offered and refilled. Bathroom is only available to customers and employees only. A family stopped by to ask to use it and was turned away. The only TV is in the back of the restaurant and doesn’t really work. The TV is stuck on telemundo because the buttons on the TV are locked and since the remote doesn’t work, they can’t change the channel. Parking is in the plazas parking lot and had plenty of space available when we were there on a weekend during lunch time. Probably be back to try other sandwiches.
