My boyfriend took me to Parkers Queens Room for our 1yr anniversary. The view was spectacular. Service was good ! He had a reservation in advance which I recommend. He said it was the«best» steak he had eaten outside the Midwest I agreed. I was chef of one of the top five steakhouses in So Cal. Very romantic.

I only came here because a client suggested it. The moment I walked in I did not feel in any way she perform welcome or acknowledged. The young man behind the front desk was too busy flirting with a cocktail waitress to say hello to me or direct me to where my client was waiting for me. I walked around for about 5 to 10 minutes before I was able to gather that they were in the bar. When I finally found them I waited 10 to 15 minutes before I was greeted or offered any kind of drink. And as luck would have it my waitress was the same waitress I saw flirting at the front desk earlier.(Her name was Layla as I found out by seeing a manager call her over, not because she ever bothered to introduce herself) She was even more unwelcoming then the man she was flirting with. She kept saying sorry about the wait but there was hardly anybody in the bar and lounge. She only came to our table to drop off drinks and food and not once gave us refills. The food was outstanding which is a shame because the service left a horrible taste in my mouth. I was hoping that perhaps when I left, the gentleman at the front desk would at least tell me to have a good day, seeing as I used to work in the service industry I know this is standard procedure… But there was my waitress again talking to him and of course I did not only get ignored once again, but when I left it turned out I could have gotten my parking validated and gotten the discount but it ended up being about $ 10.

Overpriced for quality of food, I guess you’re paying for the atmosphere. Very beautiful restaurant with great view and good service. Has a very good happy hour too with good drink deals and finger food.

I love great food and I love to eat hailing from New Orleans, LA and living here(So. Calif) over 30 years now. I have one basic requirement for expensive restaurants; and that is, «the food better be great». Parker’s Lighthouse doesn’t even come close. At best, it’s a mediocre(tasting) restaurant with great views. If you’re more into the view than the food, then Parker’s your place. Our overall experience was good, but the food wasn’t great or very good. I had the Cedar Plank Roasted Salmon. It came out on a Cedar Plank with great presentation, but the salmon tasted basic. Nothing special. There was a lumb crabmeat topping and it was semi-cold. Nothing to enhance the flavors of the salmon or the lump crabmeat. It was suppose to have some type of cream sauce but I couldn’t tell. I could have had the same salmon dish and spent 50% less at a less expensive restaurant. My wife had the Seafood Linguine. It was basic too. Nothing special. It was Ok, but not very good or great either. What else can you say about a place that has great views but mediocre food? Note: I walked by and passed by Parker’s Lighthouse for years and never went in. My gut instinct was that the place wasn’t great, but overpriced. My gut instincts were right. However, my wife wanted to go there for her birthday so I took her. If the prices were in the $ 15-$ 28 price range, I might consider going back. But it’s more in the $ 31-$ 55 price range for entrees only. I won’t be back because it’s just isn’t worth it. I talk about price in comparison to the quality of food because they should match or exceed what you pay for. If a restaurant is going to charge you 50% more for their food, then the quality and taste of the food should at least be 50% or more better than comparable restaurants. But really folks; the food is just ok, not great regardless of the price.

Came here New Year’s Day to celebrate my mom’s bday. I made reservations for a table of 13 earlier in the week. Got there and was walked to our table and apparently the table had not been setup yet. No biggie– we waited outside. It was a beautiful day! Michelle was our waitress– and she was great! I’m giving the food 3 stars, but the 4th star is for the service. My sister’s lobster club came out super later. We basically all finished our food by the time she got hers. Michelle let management know– and the manager actually came out to apologize and comp her meal. Now back to the food. I tasted a bit of everybody’s food and I honestly wasn’t amazed with anything. For starters we ordered the seafood tower, as well as the Parker’s sampler. I ordered the stuffed Alaskan cod. Other plates ordered were: lobster club, pulled pork sandwich w/sweet potato fries, seafood platter, catch of the day(yellowtail), French dip sandwich, jambalaya, and the kids ordered chicken strips. I could tell my dad wasn’t enjoying his yellowtail. And kept talking about dinner plans he had for later today… Honestly– I’m way happier with the food next door at Yardhouse. I remember my past dining experiences here being better, but it has been a while since I was last there. I definitely want to come back for their Happy Hour! Parker’s… I’ll be back!

In my close family, we have 3 birthdays in the month of October. While they are a week or two apart, we decided to celebrate all of them together in 1 dinner. Albeit, a nice dinner. Because I’m not from the area, I had my sister-in-law and her husband pick a place. They chose Parker’s. On a Saturday night, the parking lot was crowded. Not chaotic, but crowded. The entrance to the restaurant is around the back. We walk in and were immediately greeted and seated. The waiter started off like a nice guy, but then, I think his girlfriend broke up with him during his break, so he did a complete 180 and was a total dickwad. Needed a water refill and he looked at me like I was bothering him. Even when I requested my daughter’s dessert, he just nodded his head and walked away to get it. Rude city! Anyway, as for the food, not bad. We had the Surf and Turf, Crab Stuffed Shrimp, Chopped Salad, and the NY Strip Steak. Surf and Turf was good. Didn’t stand out from a higher-end steak house, but was equally as good. Not bad, considering it was a little cheaper. Same for the New York Strip Steak. The Crab Stuffed Shrimp was very salty, but the Chopped Salad was darn good and had tons of savory shrimp. The herb parmesan dressing really gave it good flavor. A decent meal, but if I was going to spend $ 30-$ 50 on a meal, I’d prefer a different place.

Our server was Greg who was a good guy and had a solid command of the menu, BUT, it felt like he was super busy. I was going to post pictures of our empty water glasses and completely finished plates to emphasize the lapses in time between his table visits. Mind you this was a Friday night in December, and the place was packed with holiday festivities, but… Speaking of the holidays, Parkers’ does a great job of decorating the restaurant, it really felt like Christmas! We could not resist taking a picture by the tree at the front door, or gazing around to take in the ambiance of the holidays. I ventured outside of my normal entrée and I got the seafood linguine, which was chalked full of oceanic goodness; clams, shrimps, scallops, and fish, and it was very good! ‘A’ grade. The family had another good experience.

Came here with a few friends and my girlfriend a few months ago and was not very satisfied with the food or the service. They have generally seafood obviously so we ordered a few dishes such as Burger, clam chowder, oysters. It was whatever nothing really that appealing. The place was it really crowded so it should’ve been a sign to not eat at this restaurant. Won’t be back

This place is a must try because the building is so beautiful and really stands out when you’re walking along Shoreline Village. Reminds me of the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. The view is spectacular and the food options are delicious and fresh. Lots of different seafood burgers as well as your standard options. We all split the calamari, and my mom and I split the crabcake burger which was delicious. My boyfriend tried the slider trio, and said all were really good, and my dad enjoyed the clam chowder. Meal comes with complimentary bread which is always a plus. Only thing I was surprised about was that they did not have some kind of brunch menu. We initially intended on having a nice Sunday brunch, but then since we liked that location so much, we settled for lunch!

Boyfriend and I wanted try something new in Long Beach. We came here since we were near downtown LB. We were seated quickly. Food came quick. Service was super slow. Our server took about 15 minutes to bring us our check. And over 20 minutes to get our check. 10 minutes to bring our change. I enjoyed the crispy calamari and chicken and shrimp jambalaya, a bit spicy but good. The wait for our waiter destroyed the joy I had for the dinner I just ate.

WOW… Jeez’ Long Beach. Clearly I need to ‘up my game’ a bit. Just when I thought we’d exhausted all of the possibilities within Belmont Shores, Alamitos Bay and the entire DTLB/Shoreline area, a colleague/friend of mine stepped into the office boasting on his wonderful post payday experience at Parkers’ all the while inquiring on whether or not I’d ever given the place a go. (cricket… cricket… cricket…) — - — - — - — - — - — - I honestly had —NOCLUE— WTF he was referring to(I played it off well though, lol) yet… upon performing a simple Unilocal search, I was buh-LOWN away that I’d never so much as heard of this place. (…smacks himself on the hand) While we’d intended upon driving out to Malibu just yesterday to ring in the extended Labor Day weekend a bit early, traffic on PCH put those thoughts to a screeching halt and we were compelled to perform a 405 reroute when Parkers’ came to mind. I secured reservations with ease through a simple phone call from the freeway and arrived to find this place ideally located within the Rainbow Harbor region; not so much on the Tequila Jack’s portion of the strip, more so near the yacht club. Extra star for location and ambiance as the views were irrefutably entrancing. We dined just before sunset and I don’t even need to go in depth on how gorgeous the view was as we partook in panoramic views of the Queen Mary all the while enjoying bird’s eye views of a golden dusk in the making creating a breathtaking hue upon the contaminated shorelines of the Long Beach harbor. On a Sunday… there was NOWAIT— rendering our reservations obsolete for the most part. We were allowed to select from inside or lanai seating and reflecting on how crispy it’s been out lately, in unison we promptly responded, «inside» and were seated without delay. While service was a bit downtempoed, I personally observed our server, who was excellent while I’m at it…, serving tables both inside as well as out. She didn’t miss a beat and her attentiveness was outstanding and star worthy as well. Dayum I wish I could recall her name! Ordered a glass of Spanish wine(bows head… «I try, I try…») which hit me for $ 11 a glass. This was downed in no time and was followed by a chili-mango cocktail of some sort that wasn’t monumental but still managed to deduct another $ 11.00 from my account. As for food. I concur with most of the other reviews, this place is an absolute must for 1st dates, anniversaries and out of town guest(s) you seek to impress. While he ordered and inhaled the«Lobster Club»($ 15.00), I requested a wedge salad that was DE-LISH($ 10.00) followed by a bowl of clam chowder($ 5 – 6.00). NOTE: The chowder here TRULY reminded me of …(wait for it, …wait for it…) — — - just why I LOVVVVE San Francisco!!! Not only was I underwhelmed but I became a bit sick to the stomach as I reminisced upon cold, windy nights at Fisherman’s Wharf all the while watching the fog roll in. There I digress as now I know to simply —«stick to what you know»! The aforementioned was followed by the server’s recommended«streamers». These are actually Manila clams baked with some sort of glazed/crusting. To speak candidly and while it was served promptly it was quite evocative of an artichoke dip spread of some sort having been garnished across yet, by no means did it disappoint. The total summed just beneath $ 100.00…ANTICIPATED, lest thou NOT forget to validate one’s parking. * Bringing things to a much overdue close, when I think of an establishment in attempt to furnish stars while composing my reviews…, I tend to scour for«stapled items» that strike me as iconic. While nothing here hit me as being groundbreaking or revolutionary, I’m compelled to think on just what item or items would conjure a re-visit. With Parkers’, the streamers with a befitted glass of wine served as certifiable highlights and with the picturesque backdrop to reflect upon, without a doubt can I foretell a 2nd visit within our future. Oh yea… Her name was LUCY!!! Fin — –

I hadn’t been to Parker’s Lighthouse in years before visiting this past weekend. I wanted good food and to see the ocean — they delivered! My dining partner was indecisive about sitting outside or inside. We ended up losing a table outside but one of the service managers(I believe his name is Ryan) ended up getting us another within minutes. I’m glad he did — the view was beautiful on a perfect Southern California day! The wonderful experience was, largely, due to David, a new server(he said he had only been there for two weeks) we had the pleasure of having during our visit. He was attentive, offered great feedback about the dishes he knew and beverages he has tried, and was honest about what he didn’t know about before searching for an answer. I am queen of not being able to order anything«as is» off the menu… he accommodated my request for a «garlic cheese bread pulled pork BBQ sandwich» with added fried onions and even got the kitchen to make a dinner menu option(we were there for lunch) for my dining partner. He was so awesome, I called his manager(Jeremy) over to tell him so. I eat out way more than I should and David was the perfect example of how every food server should be — thorough, honest, available, pleasant in every way. He made me feel special!

My boyfriend and I came here on a Tuesday night. We had been wanting to come here for a while and we were not disappointed! First, we sat at the bar upstairs and got drinks. If you have to wait for a table, then I would definitely recommend waiting at the bar here or to just come here for happy hour. It has a killer view. I would come back here just to sit at the bar, it’s that nice. When we went to our table, which was downstairs, we sat by the window and still had a great view, which I loved. The place was really busy for a Tuesday but we still received great service nonetheless. I wish I could remember our servers name, she was super nice and did a great job. I ordered the Seafood Linguine. YUM! This is an awesome dish, especially if you are a seafood lover, like myself. It was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. The bread they bring out for you is also super yummy and warm. I would definitely come back here. We had a great experience. This is a beautiful restaurant and great for special occasions. My boyfriend and I dressed up for our dinner here and we didn’t look out of place at all.

Despite some of the so-so reviews I’ve read about this restaurant, this was the only place within walking distance from us that night that didn’t have a long wait. We had just walked off our company founder’s boat by the harbor and decided to have dinner someplace within walking distance. Service here was simply impeccable. I really commend those in the restaurant business who always keep a professional yet upbeat attitude no matter how late it’s getting or how tired they are. They were extremely efficient and courteous here! Onto the FOOD! Do yourself a favor and order some of their appetizers: Oysters = bomb Lobster taquitos = bomb Sushi rolls = bomb Bread basket(free)= bomb I had the Chilean Sea Bass with veggies over white rice for dinner. I decided to go «clean-eating, bodybuilder» mode that night I guess. Very delicious piece of fish! Their wine list was decent too. I had two glasses of the Cabernet Sauvignon(from Napa Valley, of course). I also loved that we were seated outside with a gorgeous view of the water and the Queen Mary. Great place for date night! Or for a company dinner like my coworkers had. :)

Delicious eats on shoreline with a view! If you are looking for a nice and fun dinner, head to Parkers. We enjoyed the lobster taquitos, filet with the scallop and shrimp skewers and the surf and turf. First– the steak is grilled on an open grill in the kitchen(see the pic I tried to take). There is so much flavor from the grill that is has me questioning our at home grill skills!!! Second– the service was great. Despite managing many tables she kept the food on time and the drinks filled– my husband recommends the parker punch. *secret* you can sign up fir the email list and get a $ 15 app! :)

I’m so far behind with my reviews, that my first visit to Parker’s Lighthouse, was late last year. Well, better late than never. So here goes: I’ve enjoyed lunch at Parker’s for about a half dozen times now. It’s safe to say, it’s on the list of one of the places I enjoy running away from work to go and eat at. The service has always been great. Even when sitting outside, away from other tables, the server was attentive and made sure that everything was in order. As for the food — there hasn’t been anything I didn’t like. There have been dishes I enjoyed more than others, but there has never been anything I left untouched or contemplated sending it back. Lately, I sit at the very small Sushi Bar(can’t miss it as it’s right at the entrance walking in). For lunch, it’s always been just me and a coworkers. If you drop in, say hi to Alex for me. During lunch hours, with validation, parking is $ 1. Not bad for Shoreline dining.

Review in three parts — first, drinks in the bar 2 stars. Happy hour = good prices, but hard to get our server’s attention to bring us MORE happy hour drinks. A little more attention, and she would have gotten more drink orders and more tips. Dinner = great service 4 stars, but they don’t extend the happy hour drinks to the dining room? Kind of tacky. So $ 11.00 for a Chardonnay. No house wine. But great view of the Queen Mary. Wonderful server and the food was good. Average so far 3 stars. Forgot my parking stub in the car for validation, but the hostess graciously gave me a validation ticket — extra star! Parking turned out to be $ 8.00 with the validation, which is not bad for a nice evening in Shoreline Village. Plus lots of management on hand to wish us a good evening. Made our group feel very special.

Idéalement situé dans le vieux port de Long Beach, en face du Queen Mary, ce restaurant propose une carte très variée et de bonne qualité. Essayez d’obtenir une table à l’étage.

Best KEYLIME pie hands down! I want to give a BIG shout out to the pastry chef… YOUROCK the key lime pie! Waiters are awesome and I always tip them generously. Great view of the Queen Mary. Bartender makes strong drinks not like some wimpy bars elsewhere. Parker’s Lighthouse is a wonderful landmark of Downtown Long Beach. Definitely worth checking out. If you are on the fence just go! Food is really that good!
