U have to try this bakery… It’s not as fancy and fabulous like other bakery with nice looking packaging or plastic wrap for their bread but trust me I think they put all their effort on making the bread taste good… I have live in long beach for a while now and I have bought bread from Filipino bakeries around me but this one stands out on my opinion but like I said u have to try it. I love their pandesal its firm, tasty, u can literally eat it like dat plain and simple no need for butter or any kind of spread but it’s just me. «Tip; get here early they sell fast like all of their other bread. I personally ask the owner if they can just bake more so I don’t have to waste my gas going here and leaving empty handed. But he said they do not bake a lot of bread so they can keep the freshness of their bread. Well he has a point so I’ll just wake up early then. Chicken empanadas oh boy all the other reviews that says its the best tasting empanadas they are not kidding the crust is like a chicken pot pie crust not too flaky it’s somewhat on the sweetside, the chicken inside the empanada is savory not dry. Try closing ur eyes when u bite in to it and U will thank me… Biscotti its in the bottom portion of the glass display rack on the front u might not see it so look closely. It’s like little plastic bags of biscotti they look innocent but it’s devilish especially when u dip it in coffee or hot cocoa. They’re a little smaller than the one that u can buy at Filipino market but this one is so crunchy, they have butter and sugar and both sides you will be addicted to this if u like ur coffee black or u like ur hot cocoa. Longanisa bread hmmm imagine putting sausage(longanisa) inside the bread. genius!!! Who said u can’t eat breakfast in one hand hahaha. The longanisa is sweet salty goodness with the bread wrap around it. Meat and bun. Mmmmmm yummy

My friend picked this place to meet up for lunch. I don’t recall them serving food but I was in the mood for Halo-Halo. I called in and was told they had Halo-Halo but no ice at the moment. What?! No ice?! «Well can I bring you ice and you make me Halo-Halo?» «Sure.» “Yaya!!“ Off I went! Grabbed a bag of ice from a local shop and the lady at the counter humbly accepted. My Halo-Halo was on the house in exchange for the ice. Sweet! Totally unexpected! The best part of my Halo-Halo was the ube ice cream. I was expecting my Halo-Halo to be more on the sweet side but it was not sweet at all. There was a variety of beans that wasn’t sweet as I thought it should be. There was little jelly in my Halo-Halo no coconut meat, and milk and flan that wasn’t sweetened. I had some ube pandasal and ensaymada but it was just okay. I’ve had better. The service was five stars but what I had here brought it down a couple notches. There was no trouble finding parking here.*

Ube Central. Pandesal and Ensaymada! There were no more empanadas when I arrived for lunch. They did, however, have plenty of Ube breads. I ordered a bag each of Ube pandesal, ensaymadas and an Ube loaf. The Ube was tasty but it was limited in the ensaymada and the bread loaf. The Ube pandasal, by far, was the best item here. The bread was somewhat soft. The Ube is absolutely delicious. That being said, several of the breads I got seemed almost stale. While the Ube was very tasty, the breads were not. The Ube bread loaf was my least favorite of those I have tried in the past from other places. The ladies working here are super nice and friendly. Prices are reasonable.

Legit best freaking empanadas ever! The crust has a slight sweetness that brings out the flavor of the filling! You just have to make sure you get there in the because they’re usually out by noon or even earlier.

The ube ensaymadas and the chicken empenadas are awesome! My friends love both and they are from all different backgrounds so the love is universal! Never had someone dislike the ube one ever! Some friends are hooked! I just recently tried the empenada because of the Unilocal reviews and the reviews were right! The lady there is really nice too! Always a plus when there is good customer service!

I can understand why those empanadas sell so fast. You really have to go early in the morning to get them in order to savor the pipe warm crust that’s loaded with shredded chicken and chopped onions. That’s not the only thing I order; I also purchase the cheese puffs and spanish rolls. They’re yummy. The owner is a sweet lady. She might as well make those empanadas throughout the day since they’re a hot seller. Just a suggestion. Check it out when you’re in the area.

Best empanadas ever! I take their empanadas to parties, etc and all I get are glowing compliments. The people are nice too — they always give me extra pastries for ordering from them. This is one Filipino bakeshop I will keep coming back to for the delicious food and their genuine hospitality.

Delicious Pan de Sal! I come here after I eat at the pupuseria in the same mini-mall, and I’m never let down. They don’t have much, since the shop is soooo small, but what they do have is nothing short of amazing. The pan de sal is great, and they have a special version, too. Also, many other delicacies in terms of bakery items. Worth a trip if you’re in town, right next to the 405, or eating pupusas.

I must say, this is where I stop to get spanish rolls and mini ensemada. Really good and really cheap. The pan de sal’s are alright. It’s a quick fix for Valerios in Carson. But most definately the place to pick up the spanish rolls.
