I’ve never had a better experience with a school. I attended Newcomb Academy not too long ago and went through 1st grade-8th. Every single teacher I’ve had there went above and beyond to help me learn. I loved that I kept my friends from first grade to eighth. When I moved in the middle of eighth grade I switched school districts and I was extremely ahead of all of the other students at my new school. This school made it a point to teach all of the kids cursive and also be involved in sports, ASB, or the recycling program, or teacher aiding. All of the people I know that have graduated from Newcomb have turned out to be amazing kids and stellar students. They are also remodeling the school right now so it will look very nice once the are done. I encourage you to enroll your students because the teachers here are better than any of the teachers I have had at McAuliffe or Los Alamitos High School. I am currently a senior in high school taking pre-calculus, physics, art, Ap Literature, economics, and track and will be attending college.

Have not had a bad experience. Office staff is friendly and helpful. All of my daughters teachers have been fantastic. Cannot say enough good things about this school.

Apparently, this school thinks a 5 year old is competent enough to start her own lunch tab. Twice this week, I have received letters from school’s cafeteria claiming my daughter has eaten lunch from them but when I asked my daughter why she ate there, she replied,“Mommy, the teacher said we have to eat hot food today and all the kids ate it, so I did too.” Obviously, I have to constantly remind her now that the food is not free, but what kind of school thinks targeting a child for their predatory antics and later charging me for something I did not authorize is okay. My daughter brings a packed lunch everyday, she doesn’t bring money and doesn’t have a school ticket, so why would they give her food without my authorization? How would they know if she had food allergies? Ridiculousness.
