I love this place! We always get great service and we feel like we are at home eating with family! I highly recommend this place. Garlic cheese bread and salad for 2 is what me and my teens like to get. Meat lovers pizza is amazing as well.

I have been to this restaurant many times and haven’t complaints until this past Friday. I phoned in an order for 2 pizzas said it would be 20 minutes. Got there stood at the counter for about 5 minutes and observed the owner yelling at one of the employees which seems to be normal each time I pick up my food. Waited another ten minutes for my pizza, got home took a bite of the Hawaiian pizza just to find RAW dough in my mouth. DISGUSTING! I called to let them know because I wasn’t driving back due to the lack of parking and left my phone number. No response, will never come here again. Enough is enough treat your employees with respect and cook your food properly!

Must have been one of the worst customer service experiences so far. My husband and I ordered some bruschetta and mozzarella sticks to go on Friday night. The woman, who I’m assuming owns the place, was YELLING at my husband about her machine on Friday night. Everyone knows that the chip readers are having issues, it really isn’t that big of a deal, but instead of staying calm and being nice and accommodating(like any normal business owner or employee should do), she told my husband«I feel sorry for you,»(thinking that his card was declined, but what the machine said was«not supported»). Anyways, we will NEVER be returning here and also letting all of our Los Altos neighbors to take their business elsewhere. I really didn’t even want to pay for the food with cash after having such rude customer service and hearing her yell about how it’s not her machines fault.

I have heard great things about this place so my family decided to give it a try. When we walked in, the entrance was empty but we were told the wait was 10 – 15 minutes. We ended up waiting much longer than that and were then placed in tight booth that hardly fit my family. After sitting down, our food took ridiculously long. When it finally arrived, I wasn’t impressed. The Italian dressing on my side salad had no flavor. There were way too many toppings on the pizza. They all fell off when we put them on a plate. The pizza also wasn’t cut evenly or completely. I don’t think we will be back anytime soon. What we thought would be a quick pizza dinner ended up being a 2 hour ordeal.

I absolutely love this place! I flew in from New York but got in too late last night so I had to suffer and wait until today to get my fix. The Marris special, salad and beer is my go to. I will be back this week for my fix again before I go back to NY.

It was the first time my bf and I visited this place. When we got there, there was no parking but luckily there was some behind the restaurant. It was a nice Italian place and I liked the atmosphere. We sat down and ordered our meal. The service was pretty fast and we got our food in no time. I got the Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo and my bf got the Spaghetti and two meat balls. All in all it was pretty good. I gave it a 3 star because it was kinda pricey just to have a 2 meat ball spagetti. Also, I didn’t like that they didn’t really have a dessert menu. Just two things to choose from and none of which were chocolate. *sigh*

I’ve been coming here for years because of the PIZZA! This is still in my opinion the best tasting Pizza I’ve ever had. They bake the pepperoni under the rich cheese so all the flavors and oils of the toppings and sauce come together in an explosion of delight. It’s a gourmet style Italian pizza that is so heavy in quality ingredients that it MUST be eaten with a fork and knife! This is truly my favorite Pizza and Beer spot after a long day at the office. Nothing against Deli News down the street but they aren’t even in the same league!

Good Italian, great pricing, been going here since the 70’s. Low key, out of the way, but locals love it! I miss the breadsticks, but management knows how to keep good cooks and waiter/waitresses! Pizza is probably their best product. Ps– this post is for the Long Beach store

Been here a number of times in between classes and have tried something different each time. I love the salad and house dressings. Portions are a bit big. Pizza was alright. There is just a tense atmosphere with the lady that typically stays up front with glasses. She seems friendly with other people but never seems warm with me. Not sure why. It just feels uncomfortable. She’s not mean, just not warm.

So it’s been five years since I left my last review of this restaurant, and almost exactly 40 years since the first time I ate here. I have fond memories of sitting and drinking beer with the late Marri himself, at the old Broadway location in the 70s. I went in tonight to have some more pizza and salad and a delicious bottle of Chianti(a good deal at $ 22). This still stands as the best pizza i’ve ever had. Tonight I had the La Nicola pizza, but they are all delicious. Historically Marri’s has always been dimly lit. If I have one complaint about my visit tonight, it’s that it was too bright. It just wasn’t as intimate as I remember. Regardless, the quality of the pizza and the great service just can’t be beat. Long live Marri’s.

Boyfriend and I love this place! We’ve been coming constantly since the day we found this place, 2 months ago. The lunch special is what keeps us coming. The lunch special has enough variety and it comes at a great value. For $ 7 – 10 lunch special I get enough food for two meals. I always end up taking half of my food home. I’ve tried the meatballs, chicken and the eggplant sandwiches, they are all super good. My bf has gotten the pizza and the calzone, he loved both choices. The staff is attentive, not the friendliest but that’s fine. We go for the food not the staff!

Some of the best pizza around. Very sad that we live in Buena Park and there is no pizza close to what Marris has. Had to stop by and pick up a pizza and salad this evening. Can’t go wrong with the vege pizza and salad with ranch. Best around. And wish there was one in Buena Park.

Antipasto salad is amazing ! Seriously all you need for dinner. The pizza was great but the salad was definitely why I’ll return. The neat thing Marri’s pizza does is the toppings are under the cheesed up melted goodness! We also got garlic as a topping on our pizza and although I really love garlic they didn’t really spread it out more like globs of minced garlic chucks on various parts of the cheese which made it distasteful in some spots. Over all will return as the salad is my new favorite ! Beware this hole in the wall spot is a major fav of the locals so of you want some good food from here it’s best to make a reservation

Awesome wood-fired pizza! Went here twice for lunch on a recent vacation with the family. The lunch special is great — salad, pizza and dessert for $ 15. Service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great pizza.

A dying restaurant…5 years ago they had passion with what they served. Today we came home with wings that were undercooked and pizza that was sub par. We have eaten there over 13 times and the last four times the quality and dropped. They may or may not read this but they should. Standards count.

I am not a fan of their pizza, but I do like their pastas, salads, and sandwiches. If you like a sour/tart sauce, really thick crust with lots of cheese then you will like their pizza. The prices are a little higher than average. The staff is nice and attentive. Although, the restaurant is on the small side, it’s still a nice comfortable atmosphere. Parking can be an issue because there are alot of popular businesses in the shopping plaza and the parking lot is small.

My friends love this place so I decided to go with them on Friday night after a very long day. I thought it was alright. Loved our waitress though. I will say, parking is atrocious and very inconvenient. I parked across the street as the lot is teeny tiny -.-. I really don’t like parking on the street like that near a bar. Had the eggplant parmesan with a side of spaghetti. Two slices of breaded eggplant, cheese only on the top slice, very little sauce. I guess I like it doused in sauce and cheese… So it was only alright but my friend thought it was amazing when she had a bite. The spaghetti had a delicious meat sauce(they should have covered my eggplant in) but the meatball on the plate was sweet. I don’t like my meatballs sweet. Best recipe in the world to me is Sinatra’s meatballs and also sauce. So, I’m using that as my base and nothing will ever beat it in my opinion. I love the shrimp verrazano my friends ordered. Extra garlic is always great :) I think I’ll order that next time for sure. Even the guests near us ordered too as my friend was kind enough to share. My friend’s call it sin on a plate… Lol Salad, my friends love… But its just a salad to me. Guess I should’ve tried the Italian dressing… I just used oil and balsamic. Garlic is bread is good… Could be better, some were burnt but a few of my friends like it that way anyway lol All in all it was alright for me. My taste buds definitely aren’t the same right now so I’ll come again I’m a few months. I’ve never been so picky in my life… But it happens. Its just great being out with friends and enjoying ourselves.

Came here for a takeout dinner deal that was $ 25 for a large pepperoni pizza, a plate of spaghetti, salad, and some garlic bread. For the price it was not bad for the quantity that they give. The pizza: the pizza has the pepperoni underneath the cheese on top of the sauce. They do not skimp on the pepperoni. Don’t get me wrong, I love pepperoni, but to someone who sees this as just a regular pizza, that in for a surprise. The pizza is slightly too salty, but that is due to the amount of pepperoni that they give. It is a fairly tasty pizza. It is simple and hearty. The spaghetti: the spaghetti is a normal spaghetti that does not have anything special to it. It has the meat sauce that is tasty, but it is a regular spaghetti with meat sauce. I like that it is simple and in a way, it may remind people of their childhood.(We came here to take the take out because it is my friend’s favorite childhood pizza spot. She remembers it being delicious so she wanted us to try it as well. We agree, it is pretty tasty.) The salad: the salad is not too impressive, but it is the dressing that makes it a type of salad to remember. The dressing is a house dressing and has different type of seasonings infuse into the dressing. Once again, it is simple and tasty. The garlic bread: this is probably the part where I could’ve gone without. It is tasty as well, but it was soaked in either oil or butter. Every bite that I took it felt like I had a mouthful of oil. That part I did not enjoy too much. Overall, I would come here again but probably skip the garlic bread, unless they reduce the amount of butter or oil that they put into it.

A Family Favorite The Good: My father has been taking us here for years. He loves the pizza. We got the eggplant parmesan and the veal picatta(each under $ 16) and we loved it. The food tasted much better than you would expect from a pizza place and the portions were huge. We really could have shared one especially with the healthy portion of pasta and meat sauce that came on the side of each plate. The Bad: Our server forgot a few items and the food took a little while to come but this was pretty minor since we were enjoying each others company. The veal picatta tasted good but you could have called it a soup and after eating most of it I was feeling a little overwhelmed.
