Not all change is good. The chicken strips are not the same, and offal. To top that off the restaurant isn’t in the best condition, patio is being renovated or so it seems. Hoping for the best!

This review is just for their breakfast burrito, since it’s the only item that I get from here. Haven’t tried anything else. Breakfast burrito is pretty spot-on. Comes with hash, eggs, salsa and your choice of meat. I usually get the sausage and bacon burrito, but sometimes I get only egg and hash, so it won’t be too heavy of a breakfast. TIP: call in your order if you are taking it to-go and if there’s no cars, pull up in drive thru. Minus one star because sometimes they use too much grease, and once my hash was burnt.

5 stars and I don’t just hand those out! Oh my gosh so full from all that mouth-watering food. The OPA Fries were just a tad better then the DUI Fries. The OPA ones come with a side of tzatziki sauce that definitely made those fries go over the top. We also had a few DUI burgers which had chili on both sides of the burgers. The fries were easier to eat but you obviously don’t get the burger. The 2-$ 5 burgers are a steal and loaded with the usual toppings. Oh, and if you check in they have a $.99 grilled cheese that my 20 year old son said was worth the check in. Mind you he’s like Mikey and will eat anything. We will be back in very near future as we haven’t finished trying all that’s on the menu.

Decadent and sinful eating right here! We got the DUI fries, which consist of thick french fries covered in carne asada, chilli, pastrami, and cheese. It’s a huge order, enough for 3 people! Also, we ordered the DUI cheeseburger, which again consists of the same ingredients but replace the carne asada with a juicy burger patty. Aaaaah, it makes your mouth water! The shop is run like a mom and pop store, so dont expect chain restaurant service. They make nitty-gritty food that makes up for the average service. Honestly though, on our visit we had excellent service. The cashier was super nice, she helped us split our bill, and even brought us our food. They have good parking in the rear and they also have a drive-thru in case you’re wondering. Check it out, its not a fancy pants burger joint. Its just awesome comfort food.

The food is above average, but everything else is disappointing, primarily the service. I go there a couple times a month, so this isn’t just one isolated incident, but the service here is extremely unfriendly and sooooo slow. Plus it’s cash only, which is inconvenient. I ordered a burger and some greek feta fries, but they overcharged me for a combo(burger, fries, drink) AND the specialty fries. They didn’t even give me the receipt so I didn’t notice until I got home and saw an extra set of fries in my bag, and then I realized that’s why it seemed a little pricier this time. This place has been consistently average for me if you level out the food quality and the service. If it wasn’t so close to my apartment I definitely wouldn’t go here. Every time I go there I get treated like I’m causing them such an inconvenience by ordering; it’s like they want me to leave as soon as possible. No smiles, no professionalism, just take your change and your food and go.

Greek fries are good but not something to die for. Service is quick primary becauase this place is not so crowded. Nothing special But comparate to multinacional fast food this is better! And no so expensive

Tonight I had a bad experience. I was over charged and given attitude by both girls at the window. First off I pull up to the window and they don’t even give me my total just look at me so I just hand them a $ 20. Wtf? You need to give your customer a total first. I will never come here again and if people ask me I will suggest they stay away from going here. Need to go learn what customer service is.

I’ve been here a few times and the food is pretty decent. I always ask for NO cheese and yet cheese finds its way to my meal every time I order… it isn’t a big deal the first few times… but when I tell them no cheese 6 times before driving up to the window. I’d just hope they’d listen. But no.

Went on Unilocal to see if I could find a drive-thru, that had veggie burgers in my area. This was the first place I saw with decent reviews. So I jumped in my car and headed to Jim’s Burgers. I ordered the veggie combo. The combo comes with your burger, fries and a soda($ 8.27). The price seemed to be a little expensive until I saw the portion sizes. I must give them that, not to shabby! Though I wasn’t at all impressed with their food. The fries were bland even though they were hot and fresh. All they needed was some seasoning salt, what a big difference that would of made. The veggie burger was okay. You get two patties and all the fixings which made a differance but still nothing to write home about. If it wasn’t for me adding this and that to my food once I got home, Jim’s Burger would of only recieved 1 star!

Came here with the boyfriend today. It wasn’t busy so that was a plus. My boyfriend ordered a double cheeseburger with a small order of dui fries. I did try the fries and it was such a big portion that I couldn’t believe it was the small size. It comes with carne asada, pastrami, and chili cheese on top of yummy golden crunchy fries. I ordered the club wrap with a spinach tortilla. It was actually pretty tasty. It came with turkey, ham, bacon, cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato and ranch sauce. It’s a big portion but I ended up finishing. Thankfully my boyfriend turned down the other half of if when I offered because I would’ve been pissed of he would have ate it. So why did I deduct a star? Well to finish I ordered a side order of chicken tenders. These were probably the worst that we have ever tried. They didn’t look appetizing but yet we still tried them. They didn’t taste fresh and were too salty and hard to consume. We left them all behind. Poor chicken that was sacrificed to make such an ugly meal. I will back back though(: but I won’t order the tenders.

Really not great. I’ve eaten here several times(close to my work) and have yet to be impressed. The food is bland and the people that work there aren’t very nice(with the exception of one girl who is sweet but not always there). Their food is overpriced. Their fries are the best thing they make, but they charge for ranch(and soda refills after first one). Ambiance is not very inviting. Lots of small TVs blaring the news. There are plenty of better burger joints out there. Would not recomend.

First of all the food is Great. Ive been coming to Jim’s since I was in middle school. I ALSO tell Everybody about Jim’s Burger but the employees have become Rude and Unconsiderate. Today I got my son some chilli cheese fries and they were considerably small. When I asked for Ranch for my son Ashley asked me for 30 cents. I’d never been asked before and Ashley was very Rude. JIM Please talk to your employees about customer service and after spending almost $ 10 I should Atleast get 1 ranch…

my first time in this spot, I went because I heard about the DUI fries, ooohhh the fries were goooooood, just a huge and delicious and unhealthy fabulous meal, i ask the attendant for the size of it, and she told me a large was perfect for me and my wife to share, but she lied to me, that order was humongous, enough to feed a family of seven. give a try this place is goood, definitely im going back for more.

I’ve been craving a burger for the longest time so I had to get my fix. now! This place was really laid back and convenient… cool. My friend and I shared a very unhealthy order of burger, breakfast burrito and fries. Avocado and bacon burger: It didn’t need to be gourmet, but it did not really hit the spot for me. It came with 2 slices of bacon, a limp, unflavored patty, a thin slice of cheese that I couldn’t even taste, tomato, lettuce, and what I’m guessing is some thousand island dressing. It didn’t taste like much as was mediocre. I would pass and actually just go to in n out. Chorizo breakfast burrito: First of all, every layer of food was just stuck together and not mixed in. Do you want a bite of hash brown, chorizo, or a chunk of cheese? Everything was so bland, even the chorizo and it was so heavy, I didn’t event finish a quarter of it. Suggestion: If they mixed in everything, with seasoning, I think it could have been a lot better. Opa Fries: These were Greek fries with thick cut fries, diced tomatoes, huge chunks of feta and some marinated onions. It came with lamb which was actually nice and tender. This was the best dish, and the most well cooked. While it didn’t knock my socks off, this would be the only thing I suggest getting at the moment. Opportunities of coming back? Probably slim, but they do have a very extensive menu of burgers, burritos, and breakfast.

While on hunt to search for the best burger in Long Beach, we decided to give Jim’s a try. It’s been around forever, so why not. First, they are cash only. Ding one star automatically for making me drive to the nearest ATM that doesn’t charge a $ 5 fee. Second the food. Portions are good and they give you A LOT of fries with your order which is topped with a generous amount of seasoned salt. Now the burger was just alright, actually pretty average. Definitely better than Belmont Burgers, but I’m just going to keep on searching.

You must try Jim’s sausage breakfast burrito. It’s what’s been keeping me coming back. Try their sausage breakfast burrito. It’s huge and always delicious. It’s the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever has. I always compare other breakfast burritos to Jim’s and there is no comparison. The burgers are pretty good and grilled cheese sandwiches as well but again breakfast burritos are the !!

I ordered chili cheese fries with extra cheese and I’ve never been asked how I preferred to have cheese put on! All on top or some in the middle and some on top were the choices and I think it’s great that they asked! The cheese was awesome(being a cheese fanatic myself!), and although the chili was good it wasn’t great. Would return to try more items on the menu.

Heard from a friend their fries were awesome. Decided to do the drive thru for some carne asada fries. They are just ok… There was no guac, it was just«guac sauce» which was watery and green with a mild guacamole flavor. The serving was large but the bill came out to $ 20 for 2 burgers and fries. A bit too much for my liking. They have a bunch of diff fries dishes, some with pastrami… bacon. and cheese. If I ventured here again I would be down to try the different concoctions.

This place looked so promising! But sadly, this place disappointed me. I utilized the search engine on Unilocal for burgers in the Long Beach area and this came up among many many other restaurants. And I chose to try this one. Big mistake. I got to try their chili cheese burger. The bun was fine. The flavor of the chili was okay. But the beef patty tasted like a cardboard box. WOW I would’ve given this place a better rating, especially since the DUI fries were great! But… no. Worst burger in terms of flavor, ever.
