Please avoid using healthcare partners period. The service is horrible, administration is very unprofessional and insulting. There are better healthcare providers out there besides this group, do your research and avoid this place. They don’t even deserve a star.

New location, still horrible service!!! Unfortunately, this place has not changed their bad service and negligence towards patient care. An elderly lady as well as myself were told our doctor was running an hour late to our appointment even though we had already been waiting at least 40 minutes for him.
To make matters worst, when asked if I can speak to MY doctor in person or have him call me for prescription refill, the nurses on the front desk try to play doctor themselves and tell me that’s not necessary. Oh please!
I have the right to speak to my own physician considering I pay so much in insurance.
Do not choose this location!

Having this be my first pregnancy I excepted to enjoy every second of it. Having to deal with the «doctors» at Talbert which is now health care partners was an embarrassment on their end. Every single appointment I had the so called «doctor» which she’s just a midwife was ALWAYS 45 minutes late. Never ONCE was I seen on time, ever. So I requested to be seen by an actual MD, the first appointment went great. She helped me through a troubled c-​section infection that I was going through until I had to come back a week later and by «surprise» she’s not in the office today but the nurses called to confirm that she was out of the office. The only phone call I received was that I would be seen on my scheduled date. The nurses there can’t do their jobs correctly or efficiently… I highly recommend you think twice before choosing health care partners as your medical group. You will HIGHLY disappointed!

It just gets worse. Now they are using untrained medical assistants as phlebotomists. It is becoming very clear that the main thing Healthcare Partners cares about is the bottom line. The online portal (follow my health) is outsourced and seldom works correctly. They don’t take ownership for issues with this system. The only reason I stay is that I really like my doctor (Dr. Nilakantan).

I am so sorry all of these Unilocalers had such bad experiences but I have seen Dr. Phan and he is Amazing! I needed two referrals, for an OB/​GYN and a Cardiologist, and not only did I get both referrals by the next day but both doctors were/​are amazing as well. I will keep coming here and I will keep referring others to see Dr. Phan

I am currently in the waiting room waiting for Dr Goland. I have been here for 40 minutes and was told by the receptionist that he consistently runs late as «he is so thorough.» If this is the case why am I scheduled for the time that I was given? I find this to be disrespectful of people and their time. I wonder if I were running this late would I be seen. I would not expect so. I believe any patient’s time is just as valuable as the doctor’s time. I have just about had it with this medical group and plan to contact my insurance company today to switch.

Dr Nilakantan has about as much bedside manner as a pit viper! WORST. MEDICAL, EXPERIENCE. EVER! Karma, do your JOB!

I read all the recent reviews and it made me feel like crying. What was once a wonderful medical group destroyed. But at least now I know I’m one of many who has had a terrible experience. Dr Keisner was a wonderful doctor. If they had not gotten rid of her I might be a healthy person today. Dr Luster could not be bothered making eye contact. She was dismissive of my condition. As a result it festered. I lost my job, my health and before long everything else. Stay as far away as possible.

If you are looking for a medical group PLEASE FIND A DIFFERENT ONE OR EVEN A DIFFERENT LOCATION! This place is CRAP!
When I first started coming here in 2009 the place was great and so were the doctors I loved every single thing about this place. Unfortunately I can no longer say the same, ever since they have transitioned to healthcare partners I hate this place and WILL be contacting my insurance to change my PCP. I originally had Dr. Davis which was AMAZING (who I’ve been told was fired in 2014) he would always run behind 1−2hours a time but I didn’t mind waiting because he would not rush thru my consultation and he was very attentive to my concerns. Now fast forward to 2015, SHITTY SHITTY SHITTY place to the full extent! When I get sick, I just go to a doctor by my house and pay cash just so that I don’t have to deal with this place and their incompetent nurses AND doctors.
I won’t get into DETAIL about how incompetent they are because you all have no business knowing my Health history (haha)
I think they ONLY good doctors left right now are CARDIOLOGY (DR GROVER AND NP PAIGEE) which in May they will be moving to the Atlantic location.
I do believe this location will eventually close up, Urgent care has already closed and with cardiology moving to a different location,
Sounds like they don’t have much to hold onto haha.

I give 2 stars, not to the doctors themselves, but to the new management. I have been a talbert patient for years. Now Healthcare partners has bought them and it’s been horrible since. today I waited on hold for 17minutes before getting a human, then said she would send s message to the doctor, this was 11am. called back at 4pm, said they would have the covering doctor call me. now it’s 5:04, they are closed and no one ever called. the wait times for appointments have increased, they closed the walk in clinic, only to send us to a place further away and it has HORRIBLE reviews on Unilocal and from my co workers, I called them and the estimated wait time is over 2.5 hours, i’m better off going to the los Alamitos ER, the wait is shorter. they plan to close the fountain valley office «to better serve us» which is bull since I can’t see how there is a better location than in the same parking lot as the hospital, and the new location is not in as good of an area. Test results take longer to get back now, and they got rid of long time lab staff that had real RELATIONSHIPS with patients, seems they don’t care about that anymore. I plan to switch as soon as my sons doctor retires.

Talbert has certainly gone down the hill in recent years. I grew up with Talbert and loved my doctors and the outstanding service that used to be commonplace here. I recently moved back to this area and was initially thrilled to be able to return to this location, but was quite disappointed the first handful of visits. The first two OBGYNs I had experiences with here were AWFUL. Absolutely AWFUL. Dr. Ruinic was unfriendly and acted like my questions were a big bother for her. Despite telling me she would get to me with results in a few days, it was actually TWO WEEKS before I got results only because I pursued them myself. So I switched.
On to the 2^nd OBGYN. Dr. Van Nguyen was just cruel. I ended up coming in with a possible miscarriage (which turned out to be a miscarriage after all) and this women made me wait all morning before she bothered to return my phone calls for the results – after she instructed me to call in at 9am for results. That was agonizingly cruel. To add insult to injury, she laughed at me because I half sobbed an answer after receiving the awful news. WTH is wrong with you lady?
Onto the third, and current OBGYN. Dr. Wyckoff has been amazing thus far! I am so happy with her friendly demeanor and her consistently quick turnaround time for results. I feel comfortable with her and am confident that she will provide me and my baby (yes, I’m pregnant again!) with the service we deserve. 5 stars for Dr. Wyckoff.
I should also probably mention I was quite upset that I had to ask for my credit card back from the receptionist – it was in her pocket. I did not get any apologies for my credit card essentially being stolen. I watch where my credit card goes now.

Had a 9:00 appt. for my 2 year old with Dr. Golan. Got there early and wasn’t seen until 9:40. When we got into the room, Dr. Golan was with us 30 seconds when he told us we had been given the wrong referral and that he couldn’t help us. Very annoying having to wait that long (especially with a 2 year old), and for absolutely no reason, as they weren’t able to help us.
I had completely rearranged my work schedule to come to this appt. Healthcare Partners obviously has no consideration of other people’s time.
To top it off, I called today to complain and ask for a refund of my copay, and they said they would not be able to offer me a refund. They said that I had received a service and that in order to get a refund I would need to contact Blue Shield and ask for a grievance. I will be switching health care group’s asap as this is not the first issue I’ve had with them.

Back on June 13^th I had an appointment with Dr. Van Nguyen. The only purpose of the appointment was to get some blood work completed for a genetic test. After my appointment with Dr. Nguyen, I went to the lab and they took my blood.
After June 13^th, I never heard back from Dr. Nguyen or anyone at her office. I called in mid August to check on the status of my results and was told that they would look into it and call me back, but the results could take 8 weeks so try back in a couple weeks if no one contacted me.
I never heard back from anyone and called again on 9÷22÷14. I was told that someone would call me back that day. No one ever called me back. I called again today, After requesting my blood test results and being placed on hold for 15 minutes, a woman came on the phone and said «Dr. Nguyen has explained everything to you, correct?» I said «No, no one has given me any information at all». She then said there was a «discrepancy» with my blood test and asked if I could come back in to redo the blood work. I asked «what discrepancy». She stated that the forms that were submitted were inconsistent and that the blood test was never completed. I wont get into all the other details of what this woman said about the inconsistent forms, because what she said made NO sense at all. I felt like I was speaking with a 5 year old child and she could not answer any of my questions with any logical response. She then tried to blame the lab for everything and said it was not their office’s fault.
I ended the call by saying I would not be coming back into this location ever, and I would be rescheduling my test elsewhere. I will also be filing a complaint with their corporate headquarters and with my insurance company as well.
I have never in my life had such a negative experience with a doctor’s office. They are the most disorganized and unprofessional office.

This is sad that I have to give HCP a 1 star rating. I’ve been a HCP-​Pasadena for years. I decided to come to this location when Talbert was becoming part of the HCP family. Based on my experience with HCP-​Pasadena I thought I’d experience the same care with their Long Beach location.
Boy oh boy was I wrong. As always my co-​payment are paid at the time of service. Actually, to be more specific my co-​payments are payed PRIOR to being seen by the doctor. I paid my co-​pay, and was given someone else’s receipt! Unfortunately I didn’t notice until I got home. So as always I kept my receipts for one year.
Sh** low and behold I get a bill for my co-​pay one year later! ONE YEAR?! So of course the receipt has been shredded. When I contacted the billing lady (Mary), she was of absolutely no help. She wanted me to get a statement from my bank. Fine, I would do that if I could access the statement from over a year! Why should I have to pay money to get a statement because of their error?! Follow up is atrocious. HCP should be ashamed of this location!
To be fair Dr. Stephanie Wyckoff and Marica Okawa, CNW are 5 stars! I just have lost faith in the billing/​reception department which makes me extremely uncomfortable.

This is an HMO and is run like an HMO. Though the staff is kind, the wait times I’ve experienced for Dr. Millin have been up to 1−½ hours. To get an appt with him can take up to 3 months. Plus, if you are 10 minutes late, they cancel you.
Have a problem with a med or need to speak with your treating dr? Won’t happen any time soon.
A typical HMO which I would not recommend.

Omg do not go to the dermatologist. Said acne is caused by stress! Old grumpy man has no idea what he Is doing. Really proves do not listen to your doctor just because they give degrees to idiots

Walked in to the walk in clinic, no line, fast service. Out in 30 min. Will definitely go here again for urgent care. Leaving healthcare partners on Redondo and Willow to come to this place for urgent care from now on.

Some things never change. So far I have been sitting in a room for thirty minutes waiting for the doctor. This is really frustrating!

I’ve been coming to this location for over 15-​years. My first time here was in Urgent Care (After hours). I was so sick. The Cigna I used to go to prior in Torrance used to have a separate section for people who were sick with colds and such which I thought was a good idea. I don’t like to spread germs. My favorite nurse is Orlando. We’re good buds now. LOL! I’m in this place all the time it seems.
I like the OB Department here. My doctor that worked here passed away so I’ve been seeing whoever is available just to get in and out. His nurse Vanna is still there and we like her. That being my mom, sister, and I. She has got some bad reviews but I’ve always liked her.
The wait time here varies. I have been in after hours and have waited three hours to be seen. There are other times where I get called in less than an hour. I will say that we recently used the pharmacy here last week when the kids were sick and they were very fast!
