I used to live right next door to this place when it opened ~12 years ago. I didn’t go too often back then because it was pricy but I remember it being quite cravable back then. So I thought I’d visit this«old friend» of a restaurant since I happened to be in Long Beach… But DAMN, the price sure went up. $ 40 per person for a weeknight dinner! Still… I’d come all this way and had been craving Brazilian, so hopefully the buffet items would be top quality, I mean at that price point! NOPE! Corn soup was lukewarm, pasta salad was inedible, and the other buffet items were B+. The meat was pretty good but it was also kind of hit and miss. The sausages were exquisite and the quail was A-OK but the flank steak tasted suspiciously gamey and the sirloin was nearly Chinese buffet roast beef tough. Price did not include drink or dessert and really should have included both! Especially considering the desserts on the cart looked Costco-made. This was a $ 20 meal — at best! Sorry Greenfield, like North Woods Inn, you will forever have a place in my heart as steak houses that are less awesome than I remember.

The family and I came here to celebrate my dad’s birthday. It was in the afternoon so it was a little empty. We sat by the window with a view of the golf course across the street. Our host said it was Saturday all you can eat buffet. That the salad bar was open and that once we were ready for the meats we just place piece of wood with the green sticking out. The service was good, the servers were attentive and very prompt bringing new slices of different meats every now and then. I recommend this place. Make sure you’re very hungry and try not to eat fillers like potatoes, fried bananas, etc. I give it four stars because the restaurant smelled a little stuffy.

Grab all the shrimp and shrimp sauce from the salad bar Devoured instantly… gone, bye bye… Time for a round of picanha, forget that, Give me the whole skewer of that fantastic stuff, love the burnt fat. Tri tip steak… oh yes. More please. More… I said more. Skirt Steak(Carne Asada) immensely delicious. Packed my plate so full beyond belief. And the sugar banana. Is that a weird churro? Tasty and delicious. I just wish that they had a scoop of ice cream to go on top of it.

Make sure you come here on an empty stomach because it is an all you can eat buffet, at least it is on a Saturday during lunch. You pay one price for as much quality meat as you can handle with an open buffet full of sides to compliment the various types of meat they offer. The way it works, well the way it worked out for us, is once you are seated you are free to venture to the buffet table to start piling food on your plate. They have a decently stocked salad bar, soups, and finger foods. The mashed potatoes(with cheese) and the pesto pasta were my favorites and my friend had his plate full of fresh shrimp at all times. Once the waitress took our drink orders she explained how the meat choices will be brought to our table one by one at various times. There was a building block colored like a «street light» at the end of the table and its purpose was to notify the waiters bringing out the meat if our table was ready for more meat. AKA green side up meant bring on the meat; red meant we needed a break; yellow meant we were done bring out the check. From what I can remember the meats provided this particular day were skirt steak, garlic beef, peppered beef, lamb, brisket, chicken, tri tip, and bacon covered goodness. By far my favorite was the skirt steak. The 4th star belongs solely to the skirt steak.

Lunch was ok. I did have a high expectation on the meat and the buffet selection. Not to much of a flavor full foods. When we paid our bill we were then advised that the dinner selection is $ 39.95 each ad there is a better selection of meats. Wow great thanks for letting us know. The meat cutters are very polite and helpful. The waiter seemed to have forgotten about refils. ~*Gf west Covina**~

The food and drinks here are amazing. I love the atmosphere, and the waiters were on point. I’ve only been here once though. They valet only which sucks becuase i dont like people driving my car especially when I can park it myself. It is kind of pricey but it’s a buffet so you’d expect that. Will definitely be coming back especially for a special occasion. Recommend making a reservation though becuase it does get packed on the weekends.

The place is absolutely huge inside but it feels bare. The decorations and ambiance feel out of date, though I must say i do love that water falling from the inside windows! Some of the meats are pretty dry and lacking that taste to put them over the top. Although I must say that the turkey bacon wraps are just ridiculous great. I took my wifes, she didn’t care for them(inconsistency of the cooked bacon)., but even so I couldn’t get enough of them. In general, the food has pretty decent flavor to most everything they offer. The 4th and 5th star is missing because of a couple of things. The had a buffet style bar to get sides from but it seemed off that part of that was onion rings and french fries? Also they had as part of the soup selection cheese ravioli, again, WHAT? For the price of 30 bucks oer person for dinner, i would hope for a MUCH better selection for that price. Also they have no bartender, that I could see, making drinks. I asked for a cherry coke and my server was making not. It came out sweeter and sweeter every time. Again, the food was not so bad but the ambiance and just overall inconsistency of the restaurant got it the 3 stars.

Green Field Churrascaria is located in Long Beach near the university. Its an Ayce Brazilian meat house restaurant. I have heard about this place but Agora in Irvine is closer to my residence so we always opt for Agora. Luckily we received a gift card to this place so we finally had the opportunity to try and of course compare to our current go-to Churrascaria. Walking in you immediately see the bar to the right. Atmosphere is casual and the display of side dishes are in the center of the restaurant making it convenient for any location you are seated. Once seated you get the infamous cheese balls that melt in your mouth and are very addicting. They have a good selection of veggies and salads as well and hot foods such as potatoes, rice and soups. I didnt see any fruits other than the fried plaintains which were phenomenal. If you want dessert its an additional cost and it comes around in a cart. The fried plaintains were perfect enough to satisfy my sweet cravings afterwards. My husband and I pretty much tried most of the meats. All were nicely seasoned and delicious. I did notice that most of the meats were prepared more cooked than Agora. So depending on how you like your meat this may be a problem and you may think it will be overcooked. Not sure if it was just that night but overall I do prefer my meat more cooked and slightly pink but not bloody and this place was perfect. We ordered 2 Caipirinhas and they were refreshing and complimented nicely to all the meat we were consuming. Service was punctual once we had to flag down our server but overall we will return if we are in the area.

This place is great! There is new ownership like the other reviews say, but the food is unchanged. I can see how some people might see the new owners as rude, but the service is decent if you come with the goal of coming hungry and leaving full. Be patient for the cuts of beef — the skirt steak is amazing. Be sure to try out the salad bar, everything is worth a try. The seafood was praised by several in my party — I say it’s good not the best but I ate it with no complaints.

As a Brazilian that misses home I loved the food! The cheese balls are so soft that I almost cried on the first bite. soooo good! The drinks were sweet and delicious! I had the Strawberry Basil Caipirinha and it was so good that I had a second one hahaha The food can taste a little salty for some people(that’s how we do it in Brazil, people) but I thought it was great! The taste of home! I even had a brief talk to the only brazilian waiter there Leo. I wish everybody there was brazilian… I’m sure the energy there would be a little different. My waiter was way to slow, way to cold and barely even smiled(again… my waiter was not Leo… Leo was great, welcoming and all smiles! Great guy!!). It was Christmas Eve… I know you are working and probably not happy about it but we saw you maybe 3 times all night… We would have more drinks if you spent more time around and asked us if we needed another one… our glasses were empty for a while. That’s my only complaint! A little more attention from the waiter and a warmer attitude would def make our night better and his tip also :)

We had our company dinner here last night for 50 plus people… It was a horrible experience… We actually had a company dinner here few years back and the service was so much better back then. I am not sure if the owners had changed.(They are Korean now) But this time around it was ridiculous. We made reservations weeks in advance and it seemed like they were not even prepared for us. They advertise of having about dozen or more meats available and we were only served maybe even half of dozen of the variety that is listed on the package. The meat servers barely came around to our tables and we had to flag them down. I had to ask for the cheese breads from the server about an hour and half into our meal. Isn’t that suppose to be complimentary? Also, if you know that you have a huge party that is reserved for the night, wouldn’t you have at least several servers designated for our section? Instead, we had only one true designated server for like 50 plus people! Will our company have dinners here again? Heck no! We will take our business elsewhere! This place gives Korean people a bad rep for providing poor service. Pathetic!

I honestly prefer coming for lunch to eat, but definitely love coming during dinner to drink; this place is great. I’ve been here a couple times, & the experience always justifies the price. The staff is dope, & all the bartenders have a back story(usually music related) Although people find it controversial, & personally enjoy the butterfly wing artwork all over the walls to be amazing; you rarely get to see anything like it. The liquor selection they have can satisfy any type of drinker, & they also keep a lot of popular Brazilian beers in stock. The vegetable selection they keep available, is better than any other Churrascaria I’ve tried in the LA/OC area; a lot of items that compliment the meat, which is always on point. I don’t eat pork, so there isn’t a lot I can tell you about the bacon wrapped items, but I can say a lot about their chicken hearts. Hearts are a difficult cut to master, as they usually end up being tough, if they aren’t cooked correctly; that isn’t an issue here, we’ve loved them every time they’ve been available. I usually stick to the sirloin & lamb, along w/rice & vegetables, but their brisket is impressive, & I’ll usually get some when its available. Granted the food is good, but save yourself some room for 3 – 4 drinks, at least. I’m not a fan of drinking alcohol while I eat, but the basic caipirinha hits the spot, every time.

We had a company event last night here so our party of 30plus ending up making a reservation here for dinner. #1. the owner is korean but very rude, i only mentioned this because our party was all korean. #2. the meat was not good, m-grill or fogo de chao seems like 2 classes above, meat was just full of fat. #3. Im gonna go back to #1, for our party of 30, they reserved 5tables for us, which was not enough so we requested 2 more but the owner told us to squeeze in together, and when i politely asked why she said it would be easier to serve the meat. So i told her nicely that the restaurant was empty and that we didn’t want to be squeezed in together. Then she said no and told us when we need more room she would accomodate, but it was the way she said it and her tone, so i just smile and said well we’ll never be back. Worst 3500.00 the company ever spent…

Waaaay too pricey! No matter how much you eat, it’ll never be worth the dinner price! It’s about $ 40 for dinner here. That does not include drinks or dessert! If you are craving Brazilian bbq, come during lunch when it’s a bit cheaper. Otherwise too expensive! I came here on a Wednesday night with a couple of friends so it was pretty empty. The parking out front says valet only even though the lot was empty. When you enter the parking lot area, you can go left to park and go straight to get to the valet desk. The guy was just sitting at the valet desk so I just went ahead and parked my car. While I was walking up to the restaurant, he approached me and said this was valet only and asked for my car keys. What?!? You just sat there while I parked my car! Why would I give you my keys?! I went ahead and gave it to him since he was insisting but made a mental note to not tip him. Inside, the restaurant is very nice and fancy. They sat us right away. They have a salad/side bar in the middle of the restaurant with sides. The sides are just okay. They have guys that come around with meat on sticks and you can get as much as you want. The meat is pretty good. Some are bland but I had a few faves like chicken legs, tri tip, and sausage. After dinner, they’ll come to you with a cart full of yummy desserts and ask you which one you want a slice of. Since its a buffet that costs $ 40, I assumed it was included. It is not! They charged me $ 8 for a slice of flan… ouch!!! Overall, it’s a nice experience that you should try once. Just come prepared to pay at least $ 80 for 2!

Sorry maybe im just picky but i dont like meat thats full of fat at $ 42 bucks a plate. Im sure at one time this place was authentic but your better off going to By Brazil in Torrance. Definitely a hole in the wall but way more authentic and better quality meat to me.

As you walk into Green Field Churrascaria, you are greeted by a receptionist standing in front of a slick waterfall wall. You then walk past a stocked bar and get a glance of the area with the extensive selection of side dishes. A classy but definitely non-pretentious ambiance fills the air. — — — — - FOOD — — — — - Side dishes: You can go wild here, there is something for everyone. Soups, salads, pastas, even quinoa for the health nut that needs to find moments of solitude from the upcoming slabs of [insert your choice of adjective] flesh about to be brought by the table. One of my favorite things here was actually the crab salad, it provided light/sweet balance for the salty/savory meats. You also get cheese bread brought to the table that is pretty good. I would skip on things like mash potatoes and soups because these fillers have no business sharing a place in your stomach with all the cuts. Meats Cuts(that came by our table/or requested): Peppered/Garlic: This is for those who absolutely need that flavor blast. Very peppery/garlic-y taste and passable tenderness. Chicken Hearts: These were the star of the night. Earthy, char, and complex flavor. Quail(upon request): Less meat but better/bolder flavor than the chicken. Tri-Tip: Well seasoned and enjoyable. I had 2 cuts and the wall cut was surprisingly better and more flavorful. Skirt Steak: Great flavor and moist but a little chewy.(the prime rib would also fit this description) Beef Brisket: Very tender but extremely dry. I would avoid this. Chicken: Nothing special here, I don’t know if I would choose this over quail next time. Beef Rib-Eye: Good rib-eye, I wish it was a little bit more medium rare, it would have made it more tender. Sausage: Good, it adds a mix and rest from all the different cuts. Salty, mild sausage taste. Sirloin: Very comparable to the rib-eye but over seasoned and salty. Desserts: There were cake carts, ice cream, and flan, but by this time we were all busting at the seams and far too tapped out for dessert. Those who say there is always room for dessert clearly have never fully indulged on the main course. If you decide to go for a unique dessert, you can grab cinnamon bananas at the side-dish bar(we dubbed them churro-bananas). A smart thing to do(and where I made the amateur mistake) is to have dessert at the same time as the main course instead of at the end, that way everyone wins. Side-note: I discovered a wonderful, smooth-smooth Brazilian dark beer here, Xingu. If you enjoy pilsners as much as I do, you would love love this beer. Great great complement to the food served if you decide to go beer over wine, of course. ============= Overall — If I wanted to impress my carnivore friends or scare them into becoming a vegetarian for a while; I would take them here. I wasn’t completely«wowed» at the food but I was definitely satisfied and would probably come back if the venue fitted my needs or those moments where I just need variety in my life.

Always be my favorite Brazilian steakhouse spot. This is my second time coming here and never breaks me down but good food and quality customer service. Lunch time prices is $ 21 dinner is $ 36. On your table there’s a box of wood with colors green, yellow, and red. Green is to «go» with variety of meats coming to your table. Yellow means to get your check for waiter or waitress to come by. Red means if you want to take a break with the meat coming by your table. There is a buffet serve your own plate. The desserts bar is not all you can eat. Beware you will be charge once you see your check don’t be amaze how much they are worth. This place is a great dinning spot for anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, receptions and etc.

I had never eaten at a Churrascaria before in my life. As a matter of fact, I had never even heard of that word before in my life. As if that wasn’t enough, I also had never eaten Brazilian food before in my life. I’m glad that after my trip to Green Field, I can knock all three off my bucket list AND say that I enjoyed it! I came with a group of about 20+ on Friday at about noon, but we all came in multiple cars. When the car that I was in pulled into the restaurant, all I saw was a crowded parking lot. It was so jam packed that if I were driving, it would have been nearly impossible for me to park my car. Luckily, there was Valet Parking, so I wouldn’t have had to worry about parking my own car if I were driving. When we got in the restaurant, we were seated almost immediately; I’m guessing it’s because we had a reservation set up beforehand. It was my first time there, but several of my mates had eaten here before, and they told me what to expect. Some of them suggested to skip the salad bar in its entirely to leave more room for meat. I decided to go up to the rather large salad bar, pick up a clean plate, and grab whatever I liked. The bar was bigger than what you would see at a Souplantation, and not having eaten here before, it was difficult for me to decide not only what I wanted, but how much I wanted to put on my plate knowing there was a bunch of other food out there to choose from that I hadn’t seen yet. While I was eating my self-proclaimed«Salad of Randomness», there were waiters coming around with swords. No they weren’t here to entertain us by dueling one another. Those swords had pieces of meat on them. There were all different types of meat from sausage, chicken, tri-tip, top sirloin, steak, turkey(with bacon), and lamb. They also had a lot of side dishes like breaded fish, fried bananas, spaghetti with cream sauce, and a few different types of rice. They also had soup too, but I wasn’t really in the soup mood that day. I just had spaghetti with cream sauce, yellow rice, and a fried banana. They were all great! The fried banana was like a banana where the outside was similar to that of a donut. For some of the meats like tri-tip and top sirloin, the waiter will ask you to hold a pair of tongs so that when the waiter cuts the meat, you can catch it with the tongs and put it on your plate. For the rest of the meats, the waiter uses a knife to slide the meat off the sword and onto your plate. I could never predict what type of meat was coming next. At times, the restaurant(or at least my group) was so loud that I couldn’t even hear the waiter say what the meat was; all I could do was just nod my head to indicate that I’d like a piece of that meat. As a result, I couldn’t remember all the meats that I had there that day, but I wasn’t complaining! As long as it tasted good, I’m satisfied! Before our meal was over, we were given a basket of some type of bread. I thought it was a cream puff at first, but it was really a bread that was soft and chewy on the inside. It’s kind of hard to describe how it tasted, but it had a texture quite similar to that of a marshmallow(though it definitely didn’t taste like a marshmallow!). I don’t remember how many baskets my group got overall, but at my section of our table, nobody really wanted the bread(I’m guessing they really wanted the meat more), so I ended up eating half a basket(each basket had six pieces, so for the math-challenged, I ate three). Believe me, it really was that good! Everybody in our group had a great time, and on behalf of everybody in my group, I’d like to thank Green Field Churrascaria for providing a great meal to each and every one of us. The employees treated us well, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my other friends. I recommend eating there no more than twice a year though; otherwise, your cholesterol and blood pressure will go through the roof!
