This is a very clean tanning salon. Alisha, has always been amazing. Helpful and knowledgable. She also has a great personality. Reasonable monthly rates.

GROSS!!!
This is by far the dirtiest tanning salon, I have ever been to! The beds are not clean and the rooms are filled with cobwebs. When I go somewhere to tan, I expect the beds to be cleaned and sanitized in between each person. I don’t want to see anyone’s dried sweat! It doesn’t look like those beds have ever been properly cleaned! Yikes! Apparently they just stick in some towels in the rooms and go sit at the desk. I would think twice about going there, I know I won’t be back!

I love being tan… but I just can’t lay still long enough, to get the kind of tan I can get, in just 10 minutes, a few times a week, at Golden State… I have tried other tanning studios… but never got a natural, deep looking tan at these other places… Golden State seems to always have fresh bulbs in their beds. The lotions they have available keep me moisturized… and boy, am I dark! I will probably never again lay in the sun, for the purpose of getting a tan… now I can get out, and have some fun, and I’m already tan!!! Thank you Golden State… I’m a customer for life!

After a bad experience at a salon I was in search for a new place to get my tan on. Golden State Tanning Studio is great! This is largely due to the great staff. Everyone I have come into contact with has been extremely nice, attentive, and personable. On my first visit I received a full tour, explanation of all the beds, and packages. The prices are great! And so is my tan.

This place is great! (Especially for being so cheap), some beds are older beds, but they all have new bulbs. I get an even tan everytime. :] I’ve never had a member of the staff be rude to me and the rooms are always clean. I just wish they had baby wipes in the rooms to remove makeup, but you can’t always get EVERYTHING you want.
As for the two beds I’ve been in, here are the reviews:
Bed 1 is a really nice bed. Clean, new, everything.
Bed 4 is an older bed, still does an even tan because of new bulbs but it is obviously older and someone should probably wipe off the top of the machine, it is really dusty. And there is tons of dust and stuff inbetween the unit and the wall.

I am so glad Nancy is back! I could never figure out why I wasn’t getting any color before she came back. She put in all new bulbs, so there wasn’t any dim and ineffective. She reduced all the prices which made tanning affordable again. She really knows her business and always makes my visit a pleasure. Yea !!!

This was by far one of the best tanning spots in so cal. Clean, comfortable and fairly priced. The service was great. The staff was helpful and informative. Id recommend this to anyone.
