This is a great place for late night munchies. Great service. Prices are great, food is good. Plenty of parking and it’s open 24 hours!

My coworker recommended this spot; so I had to give it a try. The service taking my order was excellent, but I chose three dirty tables til I found a clean one. My eggs were exactly the way I wanted them, and their homemade salsa was mild, just how I like it. It was a bit of a drive from downtown LB, but glad I gave it a shot.

This place used to be good. Now they are terrible. They are pricey, slow service, dirty inside, constantly forgetting part of our order or just plain getting it totally wrong. I will never go here again. The taste isn’t even worth it anymore.

They didn’t want to sell me just a burger and a side of fries. What kind of burger place just doesn’t sell fries? They told me I HAD to get a drink. Stupid

typical american burger joint with american and mexican menu items… large, clean and spacious… plenty of tables… no fancy ingredients or gimmicks… pretty sure that most ingredients come from store bought prepackaged… basically standard food that could be cooked at home from ingredients in the frig… order and pay at the counter… the rise and shine $ 5.75…perfectly browned sliced bread… hard fried egg with square american cheese slice… crispy bacon, crisp lettuce and ripe tomato slices… basically a good sandwich that could easily be made at home… add $ 1.50 for coffee… staff walking around and refilling cups periodically…$ 7.91 total after tax for sandwich and coffee…

The food was awesome but the people at the counter look mad no smiles and when I asked to use the bathroom the First Lady said someone was in there so then 10 mins later I ask the other lady behind the counter if I can have the key for the restroom and she said now it was out of prefer and then another client walked in asking for the restroom and all of a sudden it’s not broken anymore but she claimed now the floor was simply wet and there is a sign that says you have to order before you can use the bathroom

Very long wait to get my food. Everything is extra (refills, ranch). My onion rings had no taste. Tasteless roast beef in my son’s burrito. .who puts roast beef in a burrito anyhow. And why put my napkins under my burger on top of my onion rings? Pregreased napkins? I will pass this one on by next time.

The food is superb Lol nah it’s really good. If you looking for a good quality burgers come here

Open 24 hours good little place on PCH the burgers and fries exclamation shakes accident just that one lady server she’s really like about other than that they have TVs lot a lot of room good for groups plenty of parking

Me and my gf had one of our first dates here and it was faboulous! Burgers is kinda our thing! So three years later we still come here and try to sit in the same booth we did on our first date, the staff are always nice to us its always really clean, i always get a bacon cheeseburger with avocado and let me tell you its one of the best ive tasted! everywere else i get it i hold it to golden stars standards haha really comfortable seating and spacious dining room.

Well first off I waited a good 15 – 20 minutes for chilli cheese fries. I don’t even think it was chilli and the cheese ugh … I’ll just say NEVER AGAIN.

Come here during my night shifts at work. It’s the best burger place around this area… But I always order the Garden Omlette with avocado.

Came to this restaurant with an appetite and left with a desire to never go back. I ordered the breakfast burrito even after reading a negative review about it and they were right. It had no flavor whatsoever. The ham was lunch meat ham and I asked for salsa and got watery liquid. The only upside to them was the customer service from the cashiers and servers. Other than that I won’t be back to this place.

Had a nice dinner last evening with my BF. We both had the salmon dinner, too much to eat at one sitting.
Very good quality food, can be a little much on pricing but considering that we both get two meals out of the servings, it is a great place to get a decent meal.

Typical burger spot good place to get a burger and fries. Nothing special. Some people here do not support business because they do not support their organization and write a bad review. Make a review on food and service.

Golden star is a place that frustrates me, because it has the potential to be stellar, but instead settles for mediocrity.
I come here quite often because of the proximity to my house. I have three kids, and we don’t always feel like cooking. The drive thru is open ²⁴⁄₇. They have a big menu. So to be honest, it’s really a matter of convenience.
I order the chef salad a lot. Sometimes it is presented with grace. The meat is finely diced or julienned. Other times it looks like a sloppy mess, as if no love was put into assembling it. I guess that shouldn’t surprise me. I know I shouldn’t expect a gourmet presentation, but c’mon at least make a little effort. I’ve had the BCB deal (double bacon cheeseburger), fries, omelettes, chili cheese fries, onion rings, huevos rancheros, Golden California chicken sandwich, and other breakfast items. It’s really hit or miss. I guess it depends who the cook is at the time.
Golden star could’ve earned four stars from this Unilocaler, but the quality is simply too inconsistent. Still a dependable place to pickup food, and I must mention that the ranch is fantabulous.

Stopped here with my roommate for lunch at this dinner. It’s not really in the best of locations with many trucks driving through the neighborhood and set up like a fast food ordering at the register and booth seating. The food, however, is good. My roommate and I enjoyed a delicious gyro sandwich. Tons of teziki sauce with cut up tomatoes, simple but good. The only downside is that the meat was the precut and package type. We also watched many delicious meals served to neighbors and pondered in the taste!

Typical «burger joint». Been coming here for over 30 yrs. Family owned and operated. Nice staff, decent food with reasonable prices. Recently remodeled as well.
The Golden California Chicken Sandwich an Turkey Burger’s are always a good choice. Great fried zucchini and the chili cheese dog is one of the best I’ve ever had. I believe it’s the chorizo they put in it that makes the chili so tasty…

I wanted to have some of their great fish tacos — but the special was too good of a value to pass up. The special included soup or salad, 22 ounce drink and a chili cheeseburger. I ordered soup and the chili cheeseburger minus the cheese. Service, overall cleanliness was five stars. Value five stars. Food is an individuals opinion. Mine was five stars, but most seem to rate it at four — so I picked four.
The one thing worth mentioning, is cleanliness. I am very comfortable with the food they serve. No matter when or what I order I am confident that I am getting good food. Most of their customers are blue collar and office workers and local families. Parking is great as their lot is adjacent to the restaurant. All of the other restaurants in the area are either newer or have changed owners. As I have mentioned before this is an industrial area and the Golden Star Restaurant provides the best choice — a restaurant oasis.
Now that I have discovered alternative routes, I plan to visit more often. I might just make it my «go to» restaurant. Parking and did I mention they are open 24 hours.
