Dr. Geoffrey Dolan MD:
After over 5 years of chronic pain in my right leg, knee and constant limping, my Neurologist referred me to a specialist; many of you here on Unilocal have noticed my limping and heard me vent about the pain I have and, how impeading this pain is to my active life style, let alone making getting jiggy at 56 difficult!
I was referred to Dr. Dolan by my Neurologist for further evaluation to rule out Rheumatoid Arthritis.
The good news, I do not have RA, the bad news, I have Avascular Sclerosis
of the right hip which will require a total hip replacement of my right hip on September 7^th 2012 at 8:30 AM at St Mary’s Medical Center by Dr. Duke Ahn MD.
If I do not have this surgery, I will be in a wheel chair for the rest of my life as there is no joint left, just bone on bone pinching the nerves.
The last thing I want to do is end up in a Hover Round in Las Vegas playing nickel slots and screaming «Outta my way, this machine is hot!)

Dr. Dolan was the ONLY MD who ordered x-​rays of my Shakira hips-​they don’t lie.
Not even my PCP-​Primary Care Physician thought to do so, even though she has many patients who have the same condition due to certain medications and, medical maladies from their past like I have.
Dr Dolan is an excellent reumatologist, acknowledged my PA-​C credentials, talked about the old days of medical practice and very personally offered me nothing but positive reinforcement too.
Also, front office are amazingly compassionate, funny and professional; I’d hang with this damas anytime and, all though we were sad I most likely would not be back I made it point to keep in touch with them and tell them how I’m doing, then go party!
My medical guidance, if you are having pain such as this, get it checked out by a reumatologist and, if you want the best in Reumatologists, go see Dr. Dolan.
I’ll be doing this (just like when I was teaching my parents at the age of 6) within 10 days post op, so for now pain then:
